Abstract

AbstrakAnggapan bahwa matematika sulit dan besarnya rasa takut siswa untuk bertanya pada guru menjadi permasalahan tersendiri dalam pembelajaran matematika. Solusinya adalah dengan menerapkan suatu model pembelajaran kooperatif seperti Tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian one shot case study. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 5 Padang yang terdaftar pada tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah sembilan kelas. Sampelnya yaitu 28 siswa kelas VIII.5 yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal posttest berupa essay. Hasil penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Siswa tampak aktif dengan melakukan banyak aktivitas belajar.  The Effect of Cooperative Learning Model Type Teams Games Tournament towards Student Learning Outcomes In Mathematics AbstractThe assumption that mathematics is difficult and the fear of students asking teachers is a problem in learning mathematics. The solution is to apply a cooperative learning model such as the Teams Games Tournament (TGT). This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Grade VIII Students of SMPN 5 Padang. This type of research is pre-experimental research, with a one-shot case study design. The study population was all eighth-grade students of SMPN 5 Padang who were enrolled in the 2019/2020 school year, totaling nine classes. The sample is 28 students of class VIII.5 determined by a purposive sample technique. The instrument used was a post-test question in the form of an essay. Thus it can be concluded that there is an Effect of the Implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Learning Model Against Student Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

AbstrakPerlu adanya upaya guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, karena fakta di lapangan menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan matematis siswa tersebut. Salah satunya penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dan Think Talk Write. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share dan Think Talk Write. Metode penelitiannya adalah kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Garut, dengan sampel sebanyak dua kelas yang terdiri dari 46 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes uraian. Analisis data diawali dengan uji gain ternormalisasi, uji normalitas data gain ternormalisasi, kemudian uji Mann Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis secara statistik diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa antara yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share dan Think Talk Write. The Differences in Improving Students of Mathematical Problem Solving Ability Between Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write AbstractTeachers need help to improve students 'mathematical problem-solving skills because the facts in the field show the students' low mathematical ability. One of them is the use of Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write cooperative learning models. This research was conducted to analyze the differences in the improvement of students' problem-solving skills between those who get the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write types. The research method is quasi-experiment. The study population was all grade VII students of MTs Negeri 1 Garut, with a sample of two classes consisting of 46 students. The research instrument used was a description test. Data analysis begins with the normalized gain test, the normalized normality gain data test, then the Mann Whitney test. Based on the analysis results obtained from the research results obtained from the comparison between students' mathematical problem solving between those who get the Think Pair Share learning model and Think Talk Write.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi mahasiswa yang masih kurang memiliki self concept dalam mempelajari mata kuliah operasional riset. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perkembangan kemampuan diri dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan sistem pengambilan keputusan yang dimiliki mahasiswa secara mandiri. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 49 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, terdiri dari angkatan 2017-B dan 2017-C. Metode penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas yang difokuskan pada proses perbaikan pembelajaran secara mandiri melalui self regulated learning. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui tes tulis sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan persentase nilai rata-rata dengan batasan persentase nilai rata-rata minimal 75% maka pelaksanaan proses perbaikan dapat dihentikan. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses perbaikan pembelajaran melalui self regulated learning mampu mengarahkan mahasiswa untuk belajar mandiri secara aktif dan memberikan motivasi dalam berkompetisi secara positif sehingga memperoleh hasil capaian pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Fostering Self Directed Learning Ability on The Subject of Operational Research Through Self Regulated Learning AbstractThis research is motivated by the condition of students who still lack self-concept in studying operational research subjects. The purpose of this study is to determine the development of the ability to self in solving the problem of decision-making systems that are owned by students independently. This study was implemented at the University of PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, participated by 49 undergraduate students majoring in Mathematics Education, 2017-B and 2017-C. The research method used is classroom action research focused on the process of improving learning independently through self-regulated learning. Quantitative data were obtained through written tests while qualitative data were obtained through observation and interviews. Analysis of the data used in this study using the calculation of the percentage of the average value with a limit of the average percentage value of at least 75%, then the implementation of the improvement process can be stopped. The finding of this study indicates that the learning improvement process through self-regulated learning can direct the students to actively self learn and motivate them to compete positively to obtain a better learning outcome.

Abstract

AbstrakDiperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang masih rendah, misalnya menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe Think Pair Share. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui peningkatan dan seberapa jauh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dapat meningkat dengan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Metode penelitian yaitu kuasi eksperimen, dengan populasi siswa kelas VIII di satu SMP di Kabupaten Garut. Sampel yaitu kelas VIII-A sejumlah 33 siswa, dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen berupa soal tes uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah diujikan sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Hasil analisis data pada kelas Think Pair Share menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berkategori sedang. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terbukti cukup efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Think Pair Share Type Cooperative Learning Model to improve Mathematical Problem Solving Ability AbstractEfforts are needed to improve the achievement of mathematical problem-solving abilities that are still low, for example using the Think Pair Share type of learning model. The purpose of this research is to find out how much improvement and how much the students' mathematical problem-solving ability increases through the Think Pair Share learning model. The research method is quasi-experimental, with a population of eighth-grade students in one junior high school in Garut Regency. The sample is class VIII-A with 33 students, selected based on purposive sampling technique. Instruments in the form of test questions describing problem-solving abilities were tested before and after learning. The results of data analysis in the Think Pair Share class showed an increase in the ability to solve mathematical problems in the medium category. Cooperative learning Think Pair Share type proved effective enough to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

AbstrakBerpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan atau strategi kognitif dalam menentukan tujuan. Setiap peserta didik memiliki gaya belajar yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah matematik berdasarkan gaya belajar David Kolb. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pemilihan subjek dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan purposive sampling, dengan mempertimbangkan peserta didik yang mampu mengerjakan tes dengan memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis untuk mewakili setiap tipe gaya belajar David Kolb. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa peserta didik SD (diveger), SAs (assimilator), SK (konverger), dan SAk (akomodator) mampu memenuhi semua indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis menurut Ennis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu elementary clarification, strategies & tactis, advance clarification, dan inference. Namun, pada indikator elementary clarification terdapat perbedaan antara SD, SAs, SK, dan SAk  dalam memfokuskan pertanyaan dari beberapa unsur yang diketahuinya. Students' Critical Thinking Ability in Solving Mathematical Problems Based on Learning Style AbstractCritical thinking is a cognitive skill or strategy in setting goals. Each student has a different learning style. The purpose of this study is to describe the students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems based on David Kolb's learning style. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach. The selection of subjects in this study was based on purposive sampling, taking into account students who were able to take the test by fulfilling all the indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability to represent each type of learning style David Kolb. Data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results obtained that elementary school students (diverge), SAs (assimilator), SK (convertor), and SAk (accommodator) can meet all the indicators of mathematical critical thinking skills according to Ennis used in this study, namely elementary clarification, strategies & tactics, advance clarification, and inference. However, in the elementary clarification indicator, there are differences between SD, SAs, SK, and SA in focusing questions from some of the elements he knows.

Abstract

AbstrakBerbagai penelitian mengemukakan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa masih rendah. Siswa hanya mencontoh apa yang dikerjakan guru, tanpa makna, sehingga dalam menyelesaikan soal, siswa menganggap cukup mengerjakan seperti apa yang dicontohkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan bukti empiris serta mengetahui bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dengan penggunakan model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan satu kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa soal tes uraian yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran, dengan pokok bahasan materi fungsi. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 25 Garut dengan sampel satu kelas yaitu, kelas X MIA 3 sebanyak 32 siswa, diambil secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa secara statistik peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis kelas Creative Problem Solving bartaraf sedang, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang menggunakan model Creative Problem Solving. Enhanced Ability of Student Mathematical Creative Thinking with Creative Problem SolvingAbstractDifferent studies propose that students' mathematical creative thinking abilities are still weak. Students only imitate what the teacher is doing, without meaning, so that in solving problems, students assume enough to do as what is explained. The objective of this study is to obtain empirical evidence and find out how to enhance students' mathematical creative thinking abilities by using the Creative Problem Solving learning model. The study method is a quasi-experiment with one class as an experimental class. The instrument was in the form of a test item given before and after the learning model was performed, with the subject theme functioning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 25 Garut with a sample of one class that is, class X MIA 3 as many as 32 students, taken by purposive sampling. The outcomes of the study revealed that statistically increasing the ability to think mathematically in a creative class of moderate problem-solving problem, it can be assumed that there was an improvement in students' mathematical creative thinking ability using the model of creative problem-solving.

Abstract

AbstrakSebagian besar siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar kerucut. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pendesainan lintasan belajar materi tersebut menggunakan konteks dan media yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Learning Trajectory Based Instruction (LTBI) materi kerucut menggunakan konteks tradisi Syawalan masyarakat Pekalongan yaitu Megono Gunungan yang dikemas dalam bentuk video interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan design research yang dikembangkan oleh Gravemeijer dan Cobb yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu: preliminary design, design of the experiment (pilot experiment and teaching experiment), dan retrospective analysis. Namun, artikel ini memaparkan hasil pada tahap pertama, yaitu tahap preliminary design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP N 38 Semarang. Dalam penelitian ini dihasilkan LTBI yang terdiri dari serangkaian aktivitas pembelajaran, yaitu: (1) mengidentifikasi bagian-bagian kerucut melalui video interaktif Megono Gunungan, (2) menemukan luas permukaan kerucut dengan menggunakan jaring-jaring kerucut, (3) menemukan volume kerucut dengan menggunakan media beras, dan (4) menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual yang berkaitan dengan kerucut. Selanjutnya, siswa diharapkan dapat lebih mudah memahami materi kerucut melalui beberapa aktivitas yang telah didesain. Development of Learning Based on Trajectory Material Cone Middle School Using Megono Gunungan AbstractMost students still experience difficulties in learning cones. Therefore it is necessary to design the learning trajectory of the material using the right context and media. This study aims to produce Learning Trajectory Based Instruction (LTBI) cone material using the context of the Pekalongan community's Syawalan tradition, Megono Gunungan, which is packaged in the form of interactive video. This study uses design research developed by Gravemeijer and Cobb which consists of three stages: preliminary design, design of the experiment (pilot experiment and teaching experiment), and retrospective analysis. However, this article presents the results of the first stage, the preliminary design stage. The subjects of this study were students of class IX SMP N 38 Semarang. In this study LTBI produced consisting of a series of learning activities, namely: (1) identifying cone sections through interactive video Megono Gunungan, (2) finding the surface area of the cone by using cone nets, (3) finding the volume of the cone by using rice media, and (4) resolve contextual problems related to cones. Furthermore, students are expected to more easily understand the cone material through several activities that have been designed.

Abstract

AbstrakRendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa menyebabkan siswa kurang mampu menyelesaikan soal yang bersifat non rutin dan siswa masih kurang mengembangkan ide dan kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model Problem Based Learning berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematika (KAM) siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model Problem Based Learning menjadi lebih baik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-7 SMP Negeri 12 Padang yang terdiri dari 32 orang. Siswa yang awalnya berkemampuan rendah meningkat menjadi siswa berkemampuan sedang dengan peningkatan sebesar 75 %. Siswa yang awalnya tergolong berkemampuan sedang meningkat menjadi siswa berkemampuan tinggi sebesar 26 %. Siswa sudah mampu 1) memahami masalah, 2) menyusun rencana penyelesaian, 3) melaksanakan penyelesaian, dan 4) mengecek kembali jawaban. Analysis of Students' Problem Solving Abilities Based on Early Mathematical Ability AbstractThe lack of students' mathematical problem-solving skills causes students to be less able to solve problems that are non-routine and students are still lacking in developing their ideas and abilities. This study aims to determine students 'mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model based on students' Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). The research method used is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model are better. The sample in this study were students of class VIII-7 Middle School 12 Padang consisting of 32 people. Students who were initially low-skilled increased to moderate-capable students with an increase of 75%. Students who were initially classified as capable were increasing to high-ability students by 26%. Students can 1) understand the problem, 2) draw up a settlement plan, 3) carry out the solution, and 4) re-check the answers.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian dilatarbelakangi pertentangan opini mengenai hubungan matematika dengan budaya, yang mengarah pada ethnomathematics. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui serta mendeskripsikan etnomatematika pada pembuatan Payung Geulis Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yaitu kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Subjek penelitian dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling, yaitu tiga orang pengrajin Payung Geulis yang berada di Panyingkiran, Indihiang, Kota Tasikmalaya serta telah menjadi pengrajin selama lebih dari 10 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yaitu peneliti sendiri dengan didukung beberapa instrumen lainnya yaitu pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, alat rekam dan kamera. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kaitan antara Payung Geulis dengan matematika yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya unsur-unsur matematika berdasarkan konsep geometri. Konsep geometri tersebut diantaranya berupa geometri bangun datar, geometri bangun ruang, simetri, geometri transformasi (refleksi, translasi, dan rotasi) serta kekongruenan. Ethnomathematics Study of Payung Geulis Craftmans Tasikmalaya  AbstractResearch is motivated by conflicting opinions about the relationship between mathematics and culture, which leads to ethnomathematics. This research aims to determine and describe ethnomathematics in the manufacture of Tasikmalaya Geulis Umbrellas. The research method is qualitative with ethnographic methods. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling method where the subject was a Payulis Geulis craftsman in Panyingkiran, Indihiang, Tasikmalaya City and had been a craftsman for more than 10 years. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The research instrument was the researcher himself, supported by several other instruments, namely observation guidelines, interview guidelines, recording equipment, and cameras. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there is a relationship between Umbrella Geulis with mathematics which is indicated by the existence of mathematical elements based on the concept of geometry. The geometrical concepts include the geometry of the flat structure, geometry of geometry, symmetry, the geometry of transformation (reflection, translation, and rotation) and concordance.

Abstract

AbstrakPenurunan  minat  peserta  didik  terhadap  keanekaragaman  budaya  menjadi  semakin  besar, terutama di kalangan remaja. Penyebabnya adalah globalisasi yang dengan cepat menggeser nilai-nilai kebudayaan bangsa. Pengembangan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis kearifan lokal (KA) merupakan upaya meningkatkan minat peserta didik pada pelestarian budaya melalui pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran matematika PjBL-KA berorientasi pada peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan kemandirian belajar yang ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Sampel penelitian yaitu mahasiswa semester II Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Majalengka 2018/2019. Penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang mengadopsi model 4D yaitu Define, Design, Development dan Dissemination. Hasil penelitian adalah Model PjBL-KA telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif, serta terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kemandirian belajar dan  kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Development of Project-Based Learning Based on Lokal Wisdom Model-Oriented in Creative Thinking Ability and Learning Independence AbstractDecreased student interest in cultural diversity is becoming increasingly large, especially among teenagers. The Reason is globalization which is rapidly shifting the nation’s cultural values. The development of Project-Based Learning models (PjBL) based on Lokal Wisdom (LW) is one of the efforts to increase students' interest in cultural preservation through learning. This study aims to produce a PjBL-LW mathematical learning model that is oriented towards improving creative thinking abilities and self-regulated learning in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research was conducted on the second-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program Majalengka University Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) model, namely Determine, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The results showed that: (1) The PjBL-LW model developed has fulfilled valid criteria, practice and effective for creative thinking abilities, and (2) There is a significant positive effect between self-regulated learning and mathematical creative thinking ability.
