Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kekasaran permukaan material baja dengan jenis ST 37 akibat variasi proses pengasahan batu gerinda. Sebagai proses finishing pada produk manufaktur, maka proses menggerinda datar perlu diketahui parameter asahan batu yang tepat. Penggunaan ST 37 sendiri menjadi pertimbangan karena kebutuhan material benda kerja untuk pendidikan di laboratorium manufaktur. Metode penelitian pendekatan eksperimen pada 3 spesimen dengan 3 variasi parameter pengasahan batu gerinda. Pengambilan data enggunakan konsep duplo untuk memperoleh data lebih dari satu. Setiap data sampel mempunyai 6 pengukuran. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu, variasi 1 mendapat nilai kekasaran permukaan N6 dengan rata-rata kekasaran 0,839 ?m.Variasi 2 memperoleh nilai kekasaran permukaan N6 dengan nilai rata-rata kekasaran 0,650 ?m. Variasi 3 didapatkan nilai kekasaran permukaan N8 dengan nilai rata-rata 2,685 ?m. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengasahan batu gerinda berpengaruh terhadap perubahan nilai kekasaran permukaan, baik variasi 1 maupun 2.

Abstract

Starting January 1 2020, IMO implemented a low sulfur/low sulfur emission standard which applies to fuel oil used by ships, emission control is regulated by not exceeding 0.5% sulfur content in exhaust gas. To comply with these regulations, the Toei Korea company chose to use a new type of tool called a scrubber which is a tool for separating solid particles (dust) in the exhaust gas by using liquid as a tool which aims to reduce the sulfur content contained in the exhaust gas. This research aims to analyze whether EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning System) is a factor that influences exhaust gas purification. This research also tested and analyzed the effect of EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning System) on exhaust gas that failed to be purified in Mv. Cosmo Gloria EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning System) is a device installed on marine vessels that literally "scrubs" harmful sulfur oxides from exhaust gases. This technology is usually installed on ships that are looking for compliance options in the face of stricter emissions. Efforts are made to carry out routine and periodic system maintenance plans, which in turn can reduce similar incidents on board ships. From this problem it can be concluded that maintenance on the lazer gas analyzer on the EGCS (Exhaust Gas Cleaning System) needs to be carried out regularly and in accordance with the instruction manual book created, so that problems can be identified as early as possible and prevent greater damage.

Abstract

Working Law number 17 of 2008 is a reference for sea transportation in relation to containers and as an archipelagic country that has vast seas and long coastlines, the maritime and maritime sectors are very strategic for Indonesia in terms of the economic and environmental aspects which are suitable for sea transportation for Container: The definition of a container is a tool for transporting goods in whole/in part/closed form so that it takes the form of a crate or crate and is intended to be filled with the goods to be transported. In order to promote non-oil and gas exports, the Government through the Department of Transportation has taken several important and strategic steps in its involvement in achieving the goal of procuring container ships so as to smooth and stabilize the foreign trade balance, in addition to obtaining reasonable cargo. Moreover, in this era of containerization, it is not enough to just build a port, but it also needs to be supported by personnel in the field, work systems and procedures as well as suggestions and other infrastructure that are in accordance with the value and benefits of the container itself.

Abstract

The pipeline system has an important role in the general service on board. Because without a pipeline system the pump as a means to move fluid from one place to another cannot flow or move the fluid. Pipeline systems in general include fuel pipes, lubricating oil pipes, fresh water pipes, sanitary water pipes, ballast water pipes, bilga pipes, fire pipes. Pipe installation systems include pipes, flanges, valves, separator attachments. The installation system is expected to produce an efficient pipe installation network both in terms of laying and safety in accordance with the classification regulations and from the installation guide specifications of the machining support system. In determining the diameter of fuel pipes, lubricating oil pipes, drinking water pipes, sanitary water pipes, ballast water pipes, bilga pipes, fire extinguisher pipes based on: type of fluid flowing in the pipe, volume of fluid to be moved, speed of fluid flow will be moved, also pay attention to the pressure due to friction.

Abstract

Currently, electroplating is widely used in the metal industry for various purposes, including improving the appearance and also preventing corrosion. Besides that, the mechanical properties of materials such as strength and hardness are also affected so that they will increase. The electroplating process is a process for coating metal by dipping the material to be coated into an electrolyte solution that carries a direct electric current to the dipped electrode. The materials coated in the electroplating process are usually low and medium carbon steel. The coating materials that are often used are nickel, chrome, zinc and copper. Electroplating process variables greatly influence the results achieved. In this article, we will discuss the influence of current strength, immersion time, and temperature of the electrolyte solution on the results of the electroplating process. The properties of electroplating results discussed are layer thickness, corrosion resistance, and hardness.

Abstract

The dieselEgine that drives the ship's electric generator must always be maintained in good condition, because as a electrical power plant throughout the ship, without an electrict the ship cannot function normally. To keep it in top condition and prevent black out, diesel maintenance must be carried out according to standards so that this does not happen after damage has been repaired. One thing that must be done and reported to the classification is the crankshaft inspection. The aim of this research is to find out how much deflection occurs after several years of diesel engine operation, has it exceeded the specified standards? If it has exceeded how to return it to standard condition? The methodology used is quantitative and qualitative, by measuring directly on objects and comparing with existing standards, qualitative by direct observation in the field and comparing with existing references. From the existing results, conditions were obtained that exceeded standards, which were then repaired. The benefit of this research is that it provides an overview of how to carry out maintenance, measure, assess, and how to overcome problems that occur with the engine.

Abstract

The need for ship units can be met by building new ships, purchasing second ships that are still viable, chartering ships, and modification of existing ships. Decision considerations may include ship building time, level of urgency or budget. One of the decisions a ship owner can take considering budget, time and owned existing ship is by modifying the ship according to their needs, for example modification of a flat top barge (FTB) to an accommodation work barge (AWB). The need for plate material, especially when modifying FTB to AWB, requires construction calculations for the modified part. The modification made was to create accommodation space above the main deck. The accommodation space construction calculations are adjusted rules BKI 2022 about classification and construction, part I, volume II. From data of general arrangement and BKI rules, the results show that thickness of plate outer wall of superstructure and boat deck is 8 mm, thickness of room bulkhead plate, navigation deck and top deck is 6 mm, size of the internal construction in accommodation room/boat deck is frame/stiffener/deck beam profile L90+90 x 8 mm, web frame/web stiffener/strong beam profile L120+120 x 10 mm, deck girder profile T150+80 x 8 mm.

Abstract

Galangan kapal baja di tahun 2016 mengalami peningkatan produksi kapal yang sangat signifikan. Hal ini untuk mendukung program Tol Laut pemerintah yang ingin mempermudah pendistribusian logistik antar pulau. Dengan demikian maka produktifitas galangan kapal perlu ditingkatkan agar dapat menyelesaikan pembangunan kapal baru tepat waktu. Dalam pembangunan kapal bangunan baru terdapat 6 (enam) pokok kegiatan yaitu design, fabrication, assembly, erection, outfitting, and launching. Outfitting merupakan proses pemasangan komponen kapal, meliputi hull outfitting, piping and electrical installation, accomodation, machinery outfitting, dan sistem propulsi. Dimulainya fabrikasi sistem perpipaan setelah tahap penyambungan antar block/erection selesai. Setiap pembangunan kapal harus memiliki sistem perpipaan, di karenakan pipa merupakan jantung dari kapal. Sistem perpipaan adalah bagian utama suatu sistem yang menghubungkan titik dimana fluida disimpan ke titik pengeluaran semua pipa baik untuk memindahkan tenaga atau pemompaan harus dipertimbangkan secara teliti. Karena keamanan dari sebuah kapal salah satunya tergantung pada susunan perpipaan. Untuk mengetahui bahwasanya pipa itu berfungsi dengan baik terlebih dahulu kita harus melakukan pengujian pipa sebelum kapal beroperasi. Pengujian itu terdiri dari pengujian hydrotest pressure yang di lakukan setelah instalasi pipa terpasang dengan benar. Pengujian ini dilakukan sebelum kapal diluncurkan ke dalam air. Sedangkan pengujian function test yang di lakukan saat kapal sudah berada di air. Pengujian ini dilakukan agar kita tahu apakah pipa itu berfungsi dengan baik, serta untuk mengetahui terdapat kebocoran pipa maupun pada instalasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian asosiatif kausal bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih, dengan salah satu variabel (independen) yang mempengaruhi variabel yang lain (dependen). Setelah mendapatkan pemahaman dari pendekatan hubungan kausal studi literatur dan menentukan indikator-indikator variabelnya akan dibuat kerangka konsep modelnya berdasarkan hubungan kausal. Peran penting dalam model tata kelola penangkapan ikan terukur membutuhkan peran pertama adalah dari pemerintah, akademisi, dan masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kolaborasi dalam pengelolaan perikanan; dan peran kedua adalah pemerintah daerah untuk mendukung implementasi sistem penangkapan ikan terukur. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini hanya mampu menentukan hubungan kausal dalam bentuk indikasi pengelompokan pada tiga hal pokok dalam kerangka model. Penelitian ini bisa disimpulkan sebagai penelitian foundation. Ketiga hal pokok tersebut yang merupakan variabel eksogen adalah: 1). Kuota penangkapan yang menunjukkan ketahanan ekologi sekaligus mendukung ketahanan pangan 2). Nilai produksi kuota penangkapan yang menunjukkan ketahanan ekonomi, dan sedangkan variabel endogenya adalah 3). Nilai pendapatan dan kesejahteraan nelayan yang menunjukkan ketahanan sosial-ekonomi masyarakat.

Abstract

Ships are water transportation tools used in the sea, rivers, or lakes for various purposes such as transporting goods, passengers, and fishing. Ships generally use power from engines, such as diesel engines to drive the propellers that propel the ship in the water. The problem experienced by the author when carrying out sea practice for one year (July 2023 - July 2024), on the main engine of the MT. Transko Bima ship is the entry of coolant into the cylinder, which can have a negative impact on the performance of the main engine. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the causes of the entry of coolant into the main engine cylinder on the MT. Transko Bima ship. The research method used is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews with engine crews, literature studies and documentation during sea practice on the MT. Transko Bima ship. The results of the study showed that damage to the exhaust valve seat was the main cause of the entry of coolant into the cylinder. This problem has an impact on the engine experiencing corrosion, water hammer, and can cause further damage if not handled immediately. Repair efforts include replacing damaged components and routine maintenance of the cooling system to prevent overheating. This research is expected to contribute to ship engine crews in handling similar problems and improving the reliability of ship operations.
