Abstract

Introduction: A breastfeeding mother has many nutritional needs in every food she consumes by paying attention to the needs needed by her body. Breast milk is a liquid to meet the nutritional needs of babies and protect from disease. Breast milk is given to babies because it can prevent infectious and non-communicable diseases, as well as increase IQ, EQ, and strengthen the affectionate relationship between mother and child. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that every newborn should be exclusively breastfed for six months. However, exclusive breastfeeding is a program that is quite difficult to develop. The cause of the low level of exclusive breastfeeding stems from the delay in breastfeeding which resulted in a decrease in breast milk production. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the Combination of Jamu Bejja and Oxytocn Massage on Breast Production and Uterine Involution. Methods: The design used a quasi-experiment. The population was postpartum mothers in Bangkalan Regency. The sample consisted of 30 in treatment groups 1, 30 in treatment groupt 2 and 30 in control groups. The variables were oxytocin massage, jamu bejja, milk production and uterine involution. Data collection used observation sheets (quasi-experimental). Data analysis used man whitney and kruskal wall tests. Results: there were differences in the effect of the combination of oxytocin massage and jamu bejja Madura on milk production and uterine involution with α

Abstract

Currently the world is faced with the condition of the Corona virus 2019 (Covid-19) disease pandemic whose cases are still increasing over time and widespread around the world. The Covid-19 pandemic is still a health problem throughout the country, not least in Indonesia. Covid-19 is an acute respiratory disease caused by a new type of coronavirus infection or later named Severe acute respiratory syndrome 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The purpose of this study was to find out the difference in the results of neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) between Covid-19 patients with productive age and and elderly age. In Covid-19 patients with elderly age had a high NLR value above ≥3.13 with a percentage of 83% while in Covid-19 patients of productive age also had a high NLR value above ≥3.13 by 75% but the value was still lower than in Covid-19 patients with elderly age. It could be concluded that Covid-19 patients with elderly age and productive age had differences in NLR values although the same had a high NLR value above ≥3.13 and based on the results of this study in Covid-19 patients with elderly age and productive age had low lymphocyte values or experience lymphopia. Abstract

The process of childbirth is identical to the onset of pain. The most dominant pain is felt especially in the active phase of the first stage of labor. The 1st stage of labor is the beginning of labor contractions characterized by progressive cervical changes ending with complete dilatation (10 cm). One of the problems that occur in first stage labor pain is caused by uterine contractions that cause cervical dilation and thinning. Through endorphine massage, which is a touch technique or light massage given to pregnant women before delivery that can normalize heart rate, blood pressure, and can increase the relaxed condition in the body of pregnant women by triggering a feeling of comfort through the skin surface so that by doing the massage for 20 minutes, then the pain in labor will be reduced. This study uses a quantitative research method with a static group comparison design. Measurements were made in the treatment group that was given an endorphine massage for 20 minutes in the active phase. The population in this study were all inpartu mothers who gave birth at Polindes Larasati. This research was conducted in Sekardadi Village, Jenu District, Tuban Regency. The sample in this study were some of the pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria as many as 14 respondents. McNemar statistical test results obtained p value = 0.031 (α < 0.05), thus there is an effect of endorphine massage on the adaptation of labor pain in the active phase of the first stage of inpartum mothers. From the results of the study, it was concluded that there was an effect of endorphine massage on pain adaptation because endorphine massage can stimulate the body to release endorphins which are pain relievers. It is hoped that health workers can provide health education about endorphine massage to the community so that later it is hoped that all people will be able to apply endorphine massage to overcome pain in labor. Abstract

This action aims to know the effect of instrumental music therapy with guided imagery in relieving the intensity of pain in post-operative patients at Rumkit Tk.II Prof. dr. J. A. Latumeten Ambon, Indonesia. The quasi-experimental without control group design and Numerical Rating Score (NRS) were used for measured the level of pain. Twelve (12) participants participated with pretest and post-test. Paired t-test was used to measure the result. Pretest results revealed that majority of the participants were “moderate pain” before receiving the instrumental music therapy with guided imagery. On the same line, there is a significant difference in the level of pain of the participants before and after the intervention. The level of pain of postoperative patients is significantly lower to “mild pain” after their exposure to the instrumental music therapy with guided imagery compared to their level of pain before their reception of the intervention. Instrumental music therapy with guided imagery has a significant positive effect in relieving the intensity of pain of postoperative patients. Keywords: Instrumental music, Guided imagery, Pain
