Abstract

This article aims to present an analysis of the regulatory challenges in Islamic banking supervision on the sustainability of business and financial models, with a case study on Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). In the context of the growth of the Islamic banking industry in Indonesia, the main question raised is how regulation affects the sustainability of the business and financial models of Islamic banks, particularly BSI. This research uses a qualitative approach by analyzing relevant laws and regulations and a case study of BSI. The results show that complex and constantly changing regulations can be an obstacle to the sustainability of Islamic banks' business and financial models. Although BSI has adapted itself to the changes, challenges remain, especially in terms of meeting capital requirements, product diversification, and enforcement of sharia rules. In answering the research question, the author concludes that to achieve optimal sustainability, regulations need to be adjusted to better support the development of the Islamic banking industry, including providing incentives for innovation and consistent fulfillment of sharia principles.

The train is a land transportation that is widely used by some Indonesian people. With the many benefits of trains, the community is expected to provide awareness in the importance of giving way when trains will pass. Therefore, the importance of public awareness when crossing the tracks to remain careful and obey traffic signs. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the implementation of road user safety policies at level railway crossings in Brambang village by the Jombang Regency Transportation Agency. This type of research is a type of case study research and the method used in this research is a qualitative method. The author uses Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique. The results of this study based on the theory of policy implementation from Charles O. Jones show that the division of labor that has been formed by the Jombang Regency Transportation Office is organized, the lack of knowledge of PJL at the crossing about safety and security at level crossings and the Jombang Regency Transportation Office has carried out its duties such as providing field evaluations. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of safety and security policies at JPL 75 is in accordance with the theory of policy implementation from Charles O. Jones, but there are still many shortcomings in the policy implementation process.

Abstract

Marore Island, which is part of the Sangihe Islands Regency, has for many years been a gateway and also a center for cross-border trade between the residents of the Sangihe Islands and the residents of the South Philippines. The strong inflow of goods then tends to be more "illegal trading". The Sangihe Islands Regency Government then tried to overcome this by issuing Sangihe Islands Regency Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2013 concerning the Standardization of Marore Cross-Border Service Posts. However, after more than 5 years of this policy being established, it turns out that the problems in the field have not been resolved. In fact, this cross-border trade tends to expand and shift to the capital area of the Regency, namely to the city of Tahuna and also to the sub-district of Peta. On the basis of this reality, research is carried out to find weaknesses and shortcomings in the implementation of this policy. The goal is to produce relevant and appropriate policy designs to overcome this problem. This study is designed using a descriptive qualitative method and uses the policy implementation theory from Jones (1984) which states that policy implementation is related to aspects of organization, interpretation, and application. The output of this research is aimed at academic interests and practical interests. The academic interest is to obtain IPR and the practical interest is to be used as a concrete academic proposal for the re-design of the Sangihe Islands Regency Regional Regulation Number 4 of the Year concerning the Standardization of the Marore Cross-Border Service Post.

Therefore, on the basis of this fact, this study seeks to find all the instrumental weaknesses of the implementation of this program. The ultimate goal is to provide recommendations for the right program design so that the Roll-On Roll Off Cruise can provide results in accordance with what is expected by the Governments of both countries.

Abstract

This research explores the perspective of human adaptation as a cultural response to ecological change. Ecological and economic pressures drive humans to consciously choose and take advantage of opportunities in their ecological environment. The Bahodopi mining area is the context to explain human adaptation to these ecological changes. Nickel mining results in changes in the ecological environment that have an impact on people's lives. The destruction of the ecosystem affects the lives of people in mining areas such as fishermen in Bahodopi. Coastal fishermen in Bahodopi take advantage of the potential of marine resources by catching fish to meet their living needs before the mine. The marine and coastal environment as a habitat for fish is polluted by mining waste such as factory waste, other liquid waste, and mud materials due to the excavation of materials upstream damaging fish habitats. This condition is not favorable for fishermen because they cannot meet the economic needs of their families. Fishermen's economic activities have stopped because their catches have decreased along with the development of mining activities and the destruction of marine ecosystems. The Bahodopi mining area provides job opportunities for residents to become employees, entrepreneurs, service businesses, and the informal sector along with the number of mining workers. Utilization of natural resource potential such as being a stone breaker, wage labor in pepper gardens, and planting vegetables in the yard. Fishing families take advantage of the potential of other resources and economic opportunities as a form of adaptation to ecological changes.
