Abstract

In the era of globalization, mastery of English is an urgent need for students of Islamic economics to access international literature and understand the latest developments in the field of Islamic finance. This article aims to systematically evaluate the influence of English learning on the understanding of sharia economic concepts. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing ten relevant scientific articles from various national and international journals. The results of the study show that English language learning, especially through the English for Specific Purposes (ESP) approach, has a significant influence on improving academic literacy and students' understanding of the core terms and concepts of sharia economics, such as mudarabah, sukuk, and profit-loss sharing. Reading comprehension and speaking skills have emerged as the most needed skills, in line with the demands of the world of work in the global Islamic finance sector. In addition, the use of interactive learning technologies such as Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPD) and digital media has been shown to increase interest in learning and the effectiveness of English teaching in the context of Islamic economics. The findings also reveal that there is a gap between students' linguistic needs and the available syllabus, so a contextual and collaborative redesign of the ESP curriculum is needed. In conclusion, English learning that is designed thematically, contextually, and based on the content of sharia economics plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic and professional readiness at the national and international levels.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the level of satisfaction among retail donors at the Infaq Management Institution (LMI) using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Customer Effort Score (CES) and Net Promoter Score (NPS) approaches. The method employed was a quantitative survey of LMI retail donors to measure perceptions of service ease, satisfaction levels and loyalty. The results of the study indicate that the CES score of 3.58 (on a scale of 4) falls within the ‘excellent’ category, meaning that the donation process through to reporting has been straightforward and efficient. Furthermore, the CSI score of 4.62, or 92.4%, indicates that donor satisfaction is in the ‘very satisfied’ category and has exceeded the minimum satisfaction standard. Meanwhile, the NPS score of 28% falls into the ‘good’ category, indicating that donors are inclined to recommend LMI, although there remains scope to improve loyalty to a higher category. The research findings also indicate donor preferences and behaviours that need to be accommodated through a more personalised service approach, as well as a high level of donor interest in participating in distribution activities. Therefore, enhancing engagement strategies and developing collaborative programmes are strategic steps that can be taken to sustainably improve donor satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

Indonesia’s Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a strategic initiative aimed at addressing malnutrition, reducing stunting, and strengthening sustainable national food security. This study explores the urgency and implementation of the program through theo-sociological and ecotheological perspectives by integrating Islamic values with principles of environmental responsibility. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research analyzes public policy documents, hadith literature, and secondary data related to Indonesia’s nutritional conditions and stunting prevalence. The findings reveal that the effectiveness of the MBG Program depends not only on the provision of nutritious food but also on the integration of spiritual values, equitable food distribution, and environmentally sustainable food systems. The Islamic concept of halalan ṭayyiban provides a comprehensive ethical framework for ensuring food quality, nutritional adequacy, ecological sustainability, and social welfare. The study concludes that integrating theo-sociological and ecotheological approaches offers a holistic framework for enhancing the implementation of the MBG Program, contributing to food security, social justice, environmental stewardship, and long-term public health sustainability in Indonesia.
