Indonesian Journal of Islamic Economics and Business E-ISSN: 2540-9506 P-ISSN: 2540-9514 is the journal that concerns to publish broader issues on Islamic Economics and Business. It based on the presupposition that Islamic economics and Business is still on going process to be established. There is a need to serious study on not only limited to Islamic banking and financing system but also on philosophy, politic, environment, law, culture, ethics, management and entrepreneurship of ‘Islamic Economics’. The journal aimed at bridging and solving the dichotomy between ‘orthodox’ and ‘heterodox’ problems of Islamic economics. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine what factors influence the behavioral intentions of Banten's millennial generation toward halal tourism following the Covid-19 pandemic. This study modifies the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), intending to understand how intense religiosity affects the behavioral intentions of the Banten millennial generation toward halal tourism. Respondents in this study were millennials from 8 regencies and cities in the province of Banten. The number of respondents in this study amounted to 375 people. Questionnaires were distributed via Google form to respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The analytical method uses multiple linear regression to examine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable with the application of SPSS 22 statistics. The study's findings indicate that attitudes, subjective norms, and Islamic religiosity have a favorable and significant effect on behavioral intentions in halal tourism. At the indicated significance level, the variable Perceived behavioral control had no positive and significant effect on behavioral intentions in halal tourism. However, simultaneously all independent variables have a positive and significant effect on the behavioral intention of the Banten millennial generation on halal tourism. The study's findings indicate that attitudes, subjective norms, and Islamic religiosity have a favorable and significant effect on behavioral intentions in halal tourism. At the indicated significance level, the variable Perceived behavioral control had no positive and significant effect on behavioral intentions in halal tourism. However, all independent variables had a favorable and substantial effect on the behavioral intention of the Banten millennial generation toward halal tourism at the same time.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of implementing government accounting standards, the quality of human resources, internal control systems on the quality of local government financial reports. This type of research includes causal associative research (cause and effect). The population in this study is the OPD in Bungo Regency, namely a total of 23 OPD consisting of the Office, Agency, Regional Secretariat and District. The number of respondents each consisted of one PPK person and one expenditure treasurer, with a total of 46 respondents. The sample in this study used a saturated sampling technique. The type of data used is primary data. The analysis was performed using a multiple regression model. The results of this study indicate that the application of government accounting standards and internal control systems has a significant positive effect on the quality of local government financial reports (sig 0.000). The quality of human resources has no effect on the quality of local government financial reports.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara gaya hidup hedonisme dan perilaku keuangan anak muda, mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kecerdasan spiritual dan perilaku keuangan anak muda, serta menguji peran locus of control sebagai variabel intervening dalam hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Penelitian ini akan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS Ver. 25.0. Teknik analisis menggunakan uji instrumen data, uji asumsi klasik, dan path analysis (analisis jalur). Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni anak muda di Jawa Timur. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 orang. Tahap pengambilan data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini ialah memberikan kuesioner melalui media online Google Form. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah penulis laksanakan, ditemukan bahwa gaya hidup hedonisme, kecerdasan spiritual, dan locus of control berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi perilaku keuangan individu. Gaya hidup hedonisme cenderung memiliki dampak negatif, sementara kecerdasan spiritual dan locus of control memiliki dampak positif terhadap pengelolaan keuangan.

Abstract

Indonesia has a large waqf potential but has not been optimized. This study aims to examine how the interest of cash waqf donation behavior in the people of West Java Province. This research develops previous theories by using a combination of reputation, integrity, trust, Islamic egalitarian, perceived ihsan, and Islamic religiosity variables. Hypothesis testing in this study uses the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square approach. Respondents in this study were 250 people who live in West Java Province, are Muslim, and have a basic understanding of the concept of cash waqf. The results of this study are almost all the variables used in the study have a significant influence either directly or indirectly on the interest in waqf money, only the variable perception of ihsan has no influence on the interest in waqf money. This research only covers the people of West Java Province, in the future samples can be added that cover all of Indonesia or between countries. Waqf institutions also need to improve integrity, reputation, and public trust so that interest from the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of macroeconomic and internal financial performance factors of Islamic Commercial Banks on the profitability of Islamic Commercial Banks before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to be able to estimate the long-term and short-term effects on the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks. The data analysis method in this study uses the Error Correction Model (ECM), where the end result is to measure the short-term and long-term influence of the movement of Islamic Commercial Bank profitability as measured by ROA. The data used is secondary data, in the form of time series and the research period is January 2015 - December 2022. The results showed that interest rates (SB), exchange rates (NTR), NPF, CAR and BOPO affect ROA in the long run. While NPF, BOPO and SB have an effect on ROA in the short term. These findings are very important for the Islamic banking industry and the authorities to carry out strategies that must be carried out on the influence of macroeconomics and internal financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks

Abstract

The high distribution of zakat funds, the human development index can affect the level of poverty in Jambi Province. The purpose of this study is to find out how the influence of the distribution of zakat funds and the human development index on poverty. The variables used are the distribution of zakat funds and the human development index on poverty in Jambi Province in 2010-2021. The object of this research is Jambi Province which is registered in BAZNAS and BPS for the 2010-2021 period. The method used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the distribution of zakat funds and the human development index variables have a significant effect on the poverty rate in Jambi Province. Partially, the distribution of zakat funds has no significant effect on poverty. Meanwhile, the human development index has a significant effect on the poverty rate in Jambi Province. The value of the coefficient of determination (R2) is known that the value of the coefficient of determination is 0.948725. This shows that the dependent variable (poverty level) can simultaneously be explained by the independent variables (zakat fund distribution and human development index) of 94.87% while the remaining 5.13% is explained by other factors outside the variables studied. Abstract

Consumptive behavior is excessive buying behavior by prioritizing secondary and tertiary needs rather than primary needs which causes a person to be extravagant. This study aims to determine whether there is influence of digital payment ShopeePay and locus of control on the consumptive behavior of students of the Islamic Economics and Business Faculty. The population of this study were students of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi class of 2019, the number of research samples was 85 students using a purposive sampling technique by selecting students who used digital payment ShopeePay. The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire. Variable data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The theory used in this research includes; Digital Wallets, Personality Psychology, Consumer Behavior, and Consumptive. The results of the study show that simultaneously digital payment ShopeePay and locus of control have a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior. Partially, digital payment ShopeePay has a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior. Locus of control does not affect consumptive behavior. Based on the data analysis in this study, these variables are valid and reliable. In testing the classical assumptions with normal distribution there is no heteroscedasticity and multicollinearity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and explain the effect of financial compensation and non-financial compensation on the work performance of PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk. The subjects in this study were all marketing employees of PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk, totaling 150 people. Then obtained a sample of 60 people, namely permanent employees of PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk by using a purposive sampling technique. Data obtained through distributing questionnaires, observing, and interviews. The data analysis techniques applied by the researchers were validity, reliability, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, it is found that financial and non-financial compensation significantly affects employee performance.

Abstract

The condition of the majority Muslim population in Indonesia has a very significant potential for qurban (sacrifice). The development of community interest in qurban increases every year. This is because the organization of qurban slaughtering has become a routine for Muslim communities. Additionally, qurban also serves as a driving force for the economy and culture. The recommended location for qurban is the same as the place for Eid prayers, where mosques are one of the main choices for qurban. Factors influencing the community's interest in performing sacrifices in mosques are one of the aspects that need attention. Therefore, research is conducted to analyze these factors. However, it is not impossible for qurban to be performed elsewhere. This research involves 158 respondents from the Muslim community in Sidoarjo. Data is collected using Purposive Sampling and processed using SmartPLS. The data processing results indicate that brand image does not directly influence, but indirectly, with trust as a mediator, it has an effect on the interest in performing qurban in mosques. Direct and indirect ease of access, using trust as a mediator, has an effect on interest. Meanwhile, religiosity cannot moderate the relationship between brand image and ease of access to the interest in performing qurban in mosques.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the knowledge level of non-Muslim millennial generation towards Islamic banks in Solo City. This type of research uses a qualitative methode with the Accidental Sampling technique by interviews with 8 non-Muslim millennial generation respondents. The results of this study, for the first category of knowledge about the existence of Islamic banks, 88% non-Muslim millennial generation knows about the existence of Islamic banks. The second and third category is about operations and the product of Islamic bank has same result above 63 % of non-Muslim millennial generation does not know the operations products and services provided by Islamic banks of Islamic banks. The fourth category about the differences between conventional banks and Islamic banks, only 50% of the non-Muslim millennial generation know about it. The existence of Islamic banks that are universal is not generally known by the non-Muslim millennial generation even its in a big City. Non-Muslim millennials think that knowledge of Islamic banks is only limited to sharia labels without knowing about the operations, products and services of Islamic banks.
