Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan litter yang berbeda terhadap performa produksi ayam broiler pada sistem kandang closed house di peternakan UD. Bilkis yang menggunakan litter sekam padi dan Peternakan Muzakkar yang menggunakan serbuk gergaji. Peternakan UD. Bilkis memiliki daya tampung ayam broiler sebanyak 12.000 ekor sedangkan Peternakan Muzakkar memiliki daya tampung ayam broiler sebanyak 10.000 ekor. Peternakan UD. Bilkis dan Peternakan Muzakkar terletak di Kabupaten Bireun. Performa yang dianalisis adalah bobot badan (g), konsumsi ransum (g) dan konversi ransum. Pengambilan data pada penelitian ini berlangsung dari tanggal 01 Oktober 2023 – 12 Juni 2024. Data diambil setiap peternakan adalah satu periode panen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Pada penelitian didapatkan hasil terbaik pada peternakan Muzakkar dengan menggunakan litter serbuk gergaji yaitu rataan bobot badan yaitu 2.389 g/ekor atau 2,39 kg/ekor, konsumsi ransum 3.318,71 g/ekor/minggu atau 3,32 kg/ekor/minggu dan nilai FCR 1,39, serta data penunjang deplesi 1,79%.

Abstract

Abstract The type and dosage of binder affect the quality of the pellets produced. Arrowroot tubers contain starch which has the potential to be used as a binder. This study aims to determine the effect of binder dose of arrowroot tuber flour (Maranta arundinacea) on the physical properties of indigofera pellets (Indigofera zollingeriana). Research on the physical properties of pellets was conducted at the Integrated Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Garut University from July to August 2024. The method used in this research is experimental method. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates, consisting of P0 (30% Molasses) as control, P1 (20% Arrowroot Flour), P2 (30% Arrowroot Flour), P3 (40% Arrowroot Flour) and P4 (50% Arrowroot Flour). The parameters tested were density, bulk density, compacted density, specific gravity and stack angle. The data obtained were analyzed Using ANOVA and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at the 5% level. he results showed that the use of different doses of arrowroot tuber flour (Maranta arundinacea) binder affected the physical properties of indigofera (Indigofera zollingeriana) pellets. The use of arrowroot tuber flour with a dose of 40% gave the optimal results on the parameters of pile bulk density, compacted density, and stack angle. Abstract

MBRT merupakan teknik analisis kualitatif susu segar yang mudah, tanpa kebutuhan laboratorium dan peralatan khusus. Reagen yang dibutuhkan hanyalah larutan methylene blue. Daerah-daerah tertentu yang jauh dari kota besar di Indonesia tidak memiliki akses supplier bahan kimia kualitas reagent terdekat, sehingga menjadi tantangan dalam memperoleh larutan dalam waktu cepat. Obat biru ikan secara umum memiliki kandungan daripada methylene blue dan relatif mudah diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis performa beberapa obat ikan komersil dalam MBRT. 4 obat biru (RA, SP, BI dan YR) ikan komersil diaplikasikan dalam MBRT dibandingkan dengan MB dan susu segar steril dan terkontaminasi. Seluruh perlakuan diinkubasi selama 240 menit Keempat obat ikan menunjukkan performa reduksi warna biru terhadap susu terkontaminasi. RA dan BI menunjukkan sisa warna biru yang tidak tereduksi, sedangkan MB, SP dan YR menunjukkan reduksi sempurna selama masa inkubasi. SP dan YR berpotensi dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif MB dalam MBRT.

Abstract

KUB chicken as a type of meat poultry has high potential as livestock that produces meat that is rich in nutritional content. The processing carried out to improve the quality of KUB chicken meat is by adding enzymes through the marinating process. This study aims to determine the physical quality and tenderness of KUB chicken meat marinated with a combination of pineapple and young papaya fruit extract at different marinating times. This study was conducted in May 2025 in Karangkobar District, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java Province. This study was conducted experimentally which was arranged based on a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments (0 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 60 minutes) which were repeated 5 times. The results of the analysis gave a very significant effect on the pH of KUB chicken meat (P <0.05). from various treatments P0 to P4 showed a gradual decrease in pH and along with the treatment given. Furthermore, the results of the analysis on meat texture proved that each treatment showed a significant change (P <0.05) in the texture of KUB chicken meat, with an increase in the average value along with the treatment given. The results showed that the P4 treatment of a combination of pineapple and papaya starch with a soaking time of 60 minutes proved to have a significant effect on the pH and texture of KUB Chicken meat.

Abstract

Duck eggs are one of the animal proteins derived from ducks that have a delicious taste, are easy to digest and have high nutritional content. The high nutritional content makes eggs a medium for the growth of bacteria that make eggs easily damaged or perishable food, so it is necessary to preserve eggs in order to extend the shelf life of duck eggs. The manufacture of salted eggs generally only uses the addition of salt, so that it will produce original salted eggs. However, there have been several studies and innovations that have been carried out to improve the quality and variety of salted eggs, one of which is by adding natural ingredients as another alternative. One of the ingredients that can be used is cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), because this ingredient contains compounds that can affect the organoleptic quality of food products. This study aims to examine the effect of adding cinnamon on the organoleptic quality of salted eggs, namely aroma, taste and texture. This study was conducted experimentally which was arranged based on a completely randomized design (CRD) with the addition of cinnamon divided into 4 treatments (0; 7.5; 15; 22.5 grams) which were repeated 5 times. The data obtained were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and further tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with IBM SPSS 26. The results showed that the addition of cinnamon up to 22.5 grams to salted eggs did not significantly affect the aroma with a value of 2.53-2.95 (fishy-slightly fishy), taste 3.09-3.80 (slightly salty) and texture 3.28-3.41 (slightly dense). The conclusion of this study is that the addition of cinnamon up to 22.5 grams does not change the aroma, taste and texture of salted eggs.

Abstract

Fitofarmaka adalah jenis tanaman yang mengandung senyawa aktif yang dapat berperan dalam pengobatan. Dalam budidaya ternak salah satunya pada unggas ayam petelur, fitofarmaka banyak digunakan untuk tujuan meningkatkan kesehatan dan produktivitas ternak. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pemanfaatan fitofarmaka di Kecamatan Karangpawitan Kabupaten Garut. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode survai. Pemilihan peternak ayam petelur yang diambil dilakukan secara purposive.  Interview dilakukan secara langsung terhadap 12 peternak terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua peternak ayam petelur telah memanfaatkan bahan fitofarmaka dalam budidaya ayam petelur. Pada umumnya bahan yang digunakan oleh peternak di Kecamatan Karangpawitan dalam budidaya ayam petelur adalah daun sirih (Piper betle L), tanaman sereh  (Cimbopogon Nardus L.), daun binahong (Anredera cordifolia), bawang putih (Allium sativum), daun pepaya (Carica pepaya L) dan jahe (Zingiber officinale)
