Abstract

The South China Sea represents one of the most strategically significant maritime regions globally, characterized by complex territorial disputes involving China, Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Brunei. This study examines the resource potential of the South China Sea and analyzes how these resources influence conflict risks for ASEAN member states. Employing qualitative research methodology through case study design and process-tracing techniques, this research investigates the interplay between natural resource exploitation, territorial claims, and security dynamics in the region. The findings reveal that the South China Sea contains substantial reserves of oil (estimated 11 billion barrels), natural gas (190 trillion cubic feet), and fisheries resources (8 million metric tons annually), alongside serving as a critical international trade route with approximately $5.3 trillion in goods transiting annually. The territorial disputes are exacerbated by competing interpretations of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), China's nine-dash line claims, and increasing militarization of disputed features. ASEAN's mediation efforts face significant challenges due to diverse member interests, Chinese economic leverage, and external power involvement. The study concludes that effective conflict management requires strengthened ASEAN unity, enhanced diplomatic mechanisms, adherence to international law, and cooperative frameworks for resource sharing. The research contributes to understanding how resource-rich maritime territories shape regional security architecture and provides policy recommendations for peaceful dispute resolution in contested waters.

Abstract

The development of operating system components and a data acquisition system for the 300 keV/20 mA Electron Beam Machine (EBM) at PSTA-BATAN Yogyakarta has been conducted. The system is designed to control and monitor key operational parameters, including input oscillator power voltage, high voltage, beam current, electron gun voltage, and vacuum pressure. It integrates hardware consisting of the PLC FX2424 module, L-Relay 51, and regulated power supply with software developed using LabVIEW 2018 and i-TRiLOGI 7.01. The development process involved programming the operating system in i-TRiLOGI , establishing PLC–LabVIEW communication, and implementing monitoring and data acquisition features in LabVIEW. The system enables remote operation of EBM components via a computer interface and provides real-time visualization of parameters in graphical and tabular formats. Data storage and export functions are also included to support further analysis. Testing results indicate that PLC–LabVIEW communication operates reliably via serial protocol, while ADC testing of the PLC produced a linear response with a correlation value of 1. Data presentation in LabVIEW HMI was accurate and could be exported into Microsoft Excel and Word, confirming the system's functionality for both operation and data acquisition

Abstract

The fuel injector system on the Mercy Axor 2528 functions to spray fuel (diesel) into the engine combustion chamber with the right amount and time, so that the combustion process runs efficiently. The injectors ensure that the fuel is mixed with the right amount of air, resulting in a perfect and efficient combustion. The occurrence of low power in the injector is due to fuel dilution this condition where the fuel is mixed with engine oil which can reduce lubrication performance and potential engine damage. This condition occurs when fuel (usually diesel) leaks and mixes with engine oil, resulting in a decrease in viscosity and the ability of the oil to effectively lubricate engine components. Where if the injector is damaged, repair actions are carried out to replace the "Injectornya Assy" caused by dirty or polluted fuel. This research aims to implement fuel injector repair with "Bracket Injector" so that damaged injectors can be repaired without replacing the Injector Assy. The results of the implementation show an increase in cost efficiency.

Abstract

Bladder stones (vesicolithiasis) are a rare condition when diagnosed in children. The incidence is around 2-3% in children. In Indonesia, the incidence is estimated to be higher because several areas are included in the stone belt region, and there are still many cases of endemic stones caused by low-protein, high-carbohydrate diets, and chronic dehydration. In general, the composition of bladder stones consists of infection stones, ammonium urate, and calcium oxalate. Bladder stones are often found accidentally in patients with symptoms of obstruction and irritation during urination. A 13-year-old girl presented with complaints of urinary retention and suprapubic pain at the Malili City Health Center. The patient had a history of paralysis of both lower limbs since the age of 3, following a fall. Over the past year, she had experienced recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) and frequent lower urinary tract symptoms. She was referred to Lagaligo Hospital for further evaluation. On physical examination, there were no abnormalities noted except for suprapubic tenderness and the gait is unable to ambulate independently due to longstanding bilateral lower limb paralysis. She requires full assistance for mobility and is wheelchair-bound.Laboratory tests, including renal function and hematological parameters, were within normal limits. Urological ultrasound of the urinary bladder revealed thickened, irregular mucosa and a 2.2 cm stone, consistent with vesicolithiasis accompanied by cystitis. The patient was subsequently referred to Sawerigading Hospital, where she underwent transurethral cystolithotripsy for stone removal. The procedure was performed using an 8 Fr instrument over the course of 1 hour. Stone fragments were successfully evacuated using a suction device, and complete removal was achieved. Bladder stones are rare in pediatric patients, especially in females. In our case, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) were identified as the most probable cause, consistent with the secondary category of vesicolithiasis. The recurrent infections were likely related to the patient’s immobility, being bedridden, and routine use of diapers. In this patient, poor hygiene and incomplete bladder emptying further contributed to the persistence of infections. Ultrasound remains the first-line imaging modality for pediatric urolithiasis due to its non-invasive nature and high diagnostic accuracy. In this case, ultrasound provided clear visualization of both the bladder stone and the associated mucosal changes. Although open cystolithotomy remains the most commonly used method for bladder stone removal in children—reported in up to 99% of pediatric cases (Abarchi et al.)—transurethral cystolithotripsy is increasingly being adopted in selected cases. In female pediatric patients, transurethral cystolithotripsy offers several advantages, including shorter hospital stay, reduced catheterization duration, and lower procedural morbidity. Bladder stones are a rare condition in children. In our case, the most likely underlying cause falls into the secondary category, namely recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). Preventive measures include improving hygiene, adopting a high-protein diet, ensuring proper hydration, and providing adequate water sanitation. However, with appropriate management and surgical intervention, good outcomes can be achieved. In this case, transurethral lithotripsy was used as a common technique, and fortunately, the stones were successfully removed in small fragments. No complications were observed in this patient.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the E-Kinerja policy as a digital system for reporting and developing teacher performance through the Ruang GTK platform in Kotamobagu. The research is important because nationally scaled digital systems often overlook technical readiness, human resources, and local conditions. The method applied is a qualitative approach using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis with 15 key informants, including education officials, supervisors, principals, and teachers. The results show: (1) varied understanding of policy objectives among implementers, (2) unequal access to infrastructure and technical training, (3) implementation that remains largely administrative, and (4) limited use of Ruang GTK, especially among senior teachers. In conclusion, the CIPP-based evaluation reveals a gap between policy design and field implementation, with inconsistencies between input, process, and product that reduce effectiveness. While the system promotes accountability and measurable reporting, challenges such as digital literacy and server reliability remain significant barriers. The impact of this research lies in its contribution to digital education governance studies, emphasizing the need for adaptive, participatory, and context-sensitive policy design. The findings suggest strengthening infrastructure, expanding training, and simplifying applications to improve the effectiveness of digital platforms like Ruang GTK in diverse regional contexts.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) remains a global health challenge characterized by chronic hyperglycemia due to insulin resistance and impaired insulin secretion. Glycemic control, measured by glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), is a crucial indicator of therapeutic effectiveness. This systematic review and meta-analysis aim to compare the efficacy of Ertugliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, with Metformin and Placebo in reducing HbA1c levels among adults with T2DM. Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published between 2015 and 2025 were identified through PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane databases. Data extraction and quality assessment followed PRISMA guidelines. The pooled analysis demonstrated that Ertugliflozin significantly reduced HbA1c levels compared to placebo, with mean differences ranging from −0.6% to −1.0% (p < 0.001). When compared to Metformin, Ertugliflozin showed comparable glycemic efficacy, with additional benefits in weight reduction and blood pressure control. Heterogeneity among studies was moderate (I² < 50%), and no severe adverse effects were reported. These findings suggest that Ertugliflozin is an effective and safe alternative or adjunct therapy for adults with T2DM, offering multifaceted metabolic benefits beyond glucose control.

Abstract

The phenomenon of consumerism in the modern era has influenced various aspects of human life, including Christian spirituality. Consumerism places the value of life on material possessions, luxury, and personal achievement, often shifting the understanding of faith to merely a means of obtaining physical blessings. This poses a challenge for the Evangelical movement rooted in the doctrine of sola fide, namely the belief that salvation is obtained only through faith in Jesus Christ, not through human effort or achievement. The main problem examined in this research is how the relevance of sola fide can be understood and lived out in a society dominated by a consumerist mindset. The purpose of this research is to explain the theological meaning of sola fide according to the Bible, analyze the influence of consumerism on Evangelical spirituality, and emphasize the practical relevance of the doctrine for the life of faith today. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach and Evangelical hermeneutic analysis of the biblical text and the thoughts of Evangelical theologians. The results show that sola fide rejects spirituality that is centered on achievement or material wealth, affirming that the believer's identity is entirely rooted in God's grace in Christ. Consumerism has been proven to weaken the sense of faith by replacing God's grace with worldly values. Therefore, sola fide has contextual relevance for correcting and renewing evangelical spirituality, guiding the church to teach a simple lifestyle, pure faith, and a focus on Christ as the center of salvation.
