Abstract

This research aims to analyze logistics planning at community health centers with a focus on the methods used to determine logistics needs, monitor stock of goods, as well as procedures for handling sudden requests and writing off goods. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews and observation methods at several community health centers in Medan City. The research results show that logistics planning at community health centers is carried out using a standard format provided by the Health Service every year, which includes estimates of drug needs based on previous usage data and disease patterns. The stoc monitoring process for logistics goods is carried out periodically with drug usage reports (LPLPO) which record stock, remaining stock and expenditure. Handling sudden requests is done by making special requests to the warehouse, although sometimes drug procurement cannot be fulfilled on time. The main challenges in logistics planning are budget limitations and ineffective coordination with related parties. Removal of expired or damaged goods is carried out using a procedure that includes separating the goods and making an official report. This research provides recommendations for improving coordination between parties, using technology in stock monitoring, and more efficient budget management so that logistics planning at community health centers can be more effective and support optimal health services.

Abstract

Anemia occurs due to various causes, such as iron deficiency, folic acid deficiency, vitamin B12 and protein. Anemia is directly caused by insufficient production/quality of red blood cells and blood loss either acutely or chronically. The formulation of the problem is whether there is a relationship between nutritional status, physical activity and the length of menstruation with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Boliyohuto. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional status, physical activity and menstrual duration with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Boliyohuto. The type of research is observational analysis with a research design using Cross Sectional. The population is active students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Boliyohuto with a purposive sampling technique totaling 124 students. Data analysis uses Spearman Correlation. The results of the analysis of nutritional status in adolescent girls were the most common nutritional status, which was 63 students (50.8%). The most physical activity in adolescent girls was moderate physical activity as many as 82 students (66.1%). The duration of menstruation in adolescent girls was 70 students (56.5%). The results of Spearman's Correlation analysis for nutritional status were obtained with a p-value of 0.000 (p value < 0.005) with a value of r = 0.437, a physical activity p-value of 0.010 (p value < 0.005) with a value of r = -0.230 and a duration of menstruation with a p-value of 0.020 (p value < 0.005) with a value of r = 0.209. The conclusion was that there was a relationship between nutritional status, physical activity, and the duration of menstruation with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Boliyohuto. It is hoped that this research can increase the knowledge of adolescent girls about the relationship between nutritional status, physical activity and menstrual duration and have a positive impact.

Abstract

The transformation of state universities operating as work units (PTN-Satker) into state universities with public service agency status (PTN-BLU) is expected to enhance the quality of both academic and non-academic services. Consequently, this transformation will improve the performance of polytechnics, ultimately having a direct impact on students, society, and industry. The McKinsey 7S Framework is used to analyze organizational effectiveness through seven key elements: strategy, structure, systems, style, staff, skills, and shared values. These seven elements within the McKinsey 7S Framework play a crucial role in building strong organizational management. Organizational change is a process in which an organization transitions from its current state to a desired state to enhance its effectiveness. Throughout this transformation process, organizations inevitably face various challenges, obstacles, and constraints. This study utilizes the McKinsey 7S Framework to analyze an organization's readiness for change. This study was conducted by distributing questionnaires both online and offline to respondents comprising academic and administrative staff at PTN-BLU. 57 Respondents' responses were measured using a Likert scale ranging from one to seven. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression with SPSS version 27 and tabulation with Microsoft Excel. The findings indicate that the McKinsey 7S Framework has a positive and significant influence on organizational change readiness, with a contribution of 71,8%. Furthermore, the results of the simple linear regression analysis produced the equation Y=-4.502+0.170., meaning that every one-unit increase in the McKinsey 7S Framework variable will be followed by a 0.170 increase in organizational change readiness.

Abstract

Introduction: Obesity and related chronic health conditions pose significant financial and healthcare implications in workplace settings worldwide. The objective of this study is to examine the economic impact of weight gain among full-time employees working at the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA) in Alhasa and Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Methods: In order to achieve the research objective a drawing from cross-sectional datasets, the research was done to estimate the healthcare costs associated with each additional kilogram of weight gain and to explore its link to the occurrence of chronic illnesses such as Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, Asthma, and Depression. Traditional and machine learning models were used to estimate the approximate cost of weight gain per kilogram. The models include Linear, KNN, Random Forest, Decision Tree, Linear SVM, and RBF SVM applied on both SAS 9.4 and Python. Models were evaluated to select the most suitable model. Results: Hypothesis testing and correlation showed a significant difference between work schedules, age, and year of experience. The model estimated that with every one-kilogram gain in weight, the total burden increases by 676 SAR. Conclusion: This study clearly showed that incremental weight gain among MNGHA employees contributes to a significant financial burden on healthcare costs.
