Abstract

Digital payments are growing along with technological developments, trends for millennials, many conveniences and advantages are felt by business people and the government, but there is still rejection from various parties, especially the elderly, this is still new and they are not used to use technology, which they consider complicated, and still consider cash more effective, is a challenge for the government to actively carry out literacy about digital payments, so that their use is more evenly distributed, no doubt a transaction solution in this day and age. This digital payment is a social fact that occurs, based on Auguste Comte's social theory that there are three stages of social development. The purpose of this research is to find out the phenomenon of digital payments and find out the advantages and disadvantages in terms of Auguste Comte's theory. This research uses qualitative research methods with library research from primary data sources of journal articles, news, documentation and observation through related social media. This phenomenon is part of the social changes that occur in the development of society. Changes are natural and driven by various factors, such as technological developments, lifestyle changes and supporting digital financial inclusion.

Abstract

Empowerment programs must be implemented in the context of alleviating poverty in coastal communities. A program to empower poor families for coastal communities that can be carried out is by using shell waste to create creative art products because shell waste is a waste that has economic value when made into crafts. This research is a case study research with descriptive research type. This research interviewed several sources such as the local community, craftsmen and distributors or traders of shell crafts. Shellfish shell waste processed and developed by the Tanjung Balai coastal community has sales value so this program is effective in helping improve the community's economy and is effective in reducing environmental pollution. The conclusion from this research is that shellfish have economic value for the coastal communities of Tanjung Balai, making this program effective in helping improve the economy of coastal communities. The suggestion is that there is a role for the government and private sector to develop this product to be better and have a higher selling price.

Abstract

Patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy who have poor quality of life tend to have higher mortality rates compared to the normal population. Quality of life can be an important measure in evaluating the effectiveness of hemodialysis; therefore, improving quality of life is a significant goal in managing patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. Generally, the quality of life of the elderly declines due to decreased physical and psychological abilities. This study aims to assess the quality of life of elderly patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at the Hemodialysis Unit of GMIM Bethesda Hospital in Tomohon. A quantitative descriptive research method was employed with 20 respondents. The results indicate that 18 respondents (90%) reported good quality of life, while 2 respondents (10%) reported moderate quality of life. It is recommended that nurses in the Hemodialysis Unit provide increased support, especially for elderly patients, to enhance their quality of life during therapy.

Abstract

Many nonspecific symptoms of illness can occur as a result of exposure to specific harmful agents at certain workplaces, which is commonly referred to as Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). Several factors may contribute to the incidence of SBS, such as an individual’s age and work period. This research aims to determine the impact of age and work period on the incidence of SBS among employees at Telkom Gorontalo’s IT department. Cross-sectional observations were carried out in this research. Researchers conducted saturation sampling (total sampling) using all of Telkom Gorontalo’s IT employees as a sample population. Following this, 35 IT employees were used as samples. According to the analysis results, among the 35 IT employees working for Telkom Gorontalo, 27 had SBS incidents. In addition, out of 35 IT employees, 28 were under 40, 27 had standard working hours (work for 8 hours), and 14 had worked at Telkom Gorontalo for less than three years. A logistic regression analysis revealed that age significantly contributed to SBS incidence among Telkom Gorontalo’s IT employees (p-value = 0,001). Furthermore, the R-Square value was calculated using logistic regression, which is 46,45%.

Abstract

The problem at SMPN Binakal Bondowoso is that several activity processes are carried out manually, namely they are still recorded in books, one of which is the management process in the extracurricular area. The impacts and consequences of using manual processes tend to require more time and effort than using automated processes or technology and can result in low efficiency in managing extracurricular activities, such as setting schedules, recording attendance and organizing events. The objectives of SMPN Binakal Bondowoso (ex-curricular) are additional activities carried out outside class hours, either at school or outside school. Extracurricular activities aim to ensure that students gain additional knowledge, skills and insight and shape their character according to their individual interests and talents. Extracurricular activities (excurriculars) are additional activities that take place outside of class hours, either at school or outside school. Extracurricular aims to ensure that students gain additional knowledge, skills and insight and help shape their character according to their individual interests and talents. The results of this research reveal that: 1) Extracurricular activities such as SMPN Binakal Bondowoso are capable of developing students' self-development. This is shown by the growth of students' self-confidence and increased communication skills. Extracurricular activities in the form of calligraphy activities can actually foster a sense of patience, thoroughness and creativity. This is proven by the ability to paint calligraphy with better, smoother patterns and various styles. 2) Increasing students' self-development, apart from internal factors, is also supported by the attention and policies of the school principal, such as providing training facilities and professional trainers. Meanwhile, the obstacles are insufficient practice time, inadequate supporting infrastructure. 3) the existence of an Extracurricular Management Information System at SMPN Binakal Bondowoso based on a website and WA Gateway provides information to parents of students that their students are taking part in extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Several factors cause damage to the watershed areas, such as changes in land cover, erosion, sedimentation, and the increase of critical land, which occurs almost throughout the Biyonga sub-watershed area. Another factor contributing to the damage of the Biyonga sub-watershed is the management of the Biyonga sub-watershed itself. The Biyonga sub-watershed is one of the priority sub-watersheds within the Limboto watershed. One proposed solution is to map the stakeholders involved in the management of the sub-watershed. This study aims to analyze the stakeholders involved in the management of the Biyonga sub-watershed. Stakeholder analysis is crucial to determine the implementation of policies and programs in the Biyonga sub-watershed area based on changes in the biophysical and socio-economic conditions of the watershed. Data collection methods include interviews and focused discussions. The analysis used in this study is stakeholder analysis and policy implementation analysis. Based on the analysis results, there are nine stakeholders involved in the management of the Biyonga watershed. These stakeholders include key players such as the Bone Bolango Watershed Management Agency (BPDAS), Sulawesi River Basin Agency II (BWS), Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Provincial Environmental and Forestry Service (DLHK) of Gorontalo, Environmental Service of Gorontalo Regency, Public Works and Public Housing Service (PUPR), and Forest Management Unit VI of Gorontalo. Meanwhile, the subject stakeholders consist of the community, NGOs, and universities.

Abstract

The utilization of solar energy as an alternative energy source is becoming increasingly important in the face of dependence on fossil fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This study analyzes the use of various energy conversion machines in solar power systems, including photovoltaic technology, thermal solar collectors, and Stirling engines. Advances in photovoltaic technology, such as the use of perovskite materials and tandem solar cells, have improved the efficiency of converting solar energy into electricity. Innovations in thermal solar collectors, including the use of nanofluids and solar concentrator designs, have also improved the efficiency of thermal energy collection. Stirling engines show great potential in solar power systems due to their high efficiency and ability to work with a v8ariety of heat sources. This research also discusses challenges and solutions in the implementation of this technology, including initial costs, efficiency affected by weather conditions, and the importance of efficient energy storage systems. Policy support, financial incentives, and collaboration between government, industry, and research institutions are identified as key factors to accelerate the adoption of solar technology. The social and environmental impacts of solar technology implementation are significant, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved energy access in remote areas, and contribution to national energy security. This research contributes to the development of renewable energy technologies and supports the transition to a more sustainable energy system.
