Abstract

In today's modern era, students are required to become learning centers. Thus, students must have prior experience and knowledge in order to be able to connect with the next concept (material). However, because the differences between the nature of elementary schooler and mathematics, teacher needs to structure learning that can be a bridge to neutralize these differences. One way to structure the learning is make a learning design such as Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT). HLT is an alleged learning process as an anticipation of things that might happen, both students' thinking processes and other things in the learning process. The term HLT refers to the teacher's lesson plan which is designed not only to consider the material, but also the level of understanding, knowledge and student characteristics of the material being studied, so that students experience the learning process from the beginning to achieving the expected mathematics learning goals for students. This article is a literature study that aims to discuss HLT in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to k now verbal ability in mathematical linear program solving word problems in class XI IPA MAN 2 Kota Bima spread over 5 classes. The subject determination technique used purposive sampling with a total of 52 students out of a total of 211 students. The criteria for determining the subject with the following considerations: 1) Students have received learning about linear programming; 2) Students have potential verbal abilities which are assessed based on the results of the verbal ability test in the linear program as a requirement in determining the subject group. The analysis technique in this study uses descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the level of mathematical verbal ability in solving story problems in the linear program of class XI IPA MAN 2 Kota Bima was in the medium category. Students' mathematical verbal ability shows that the higher the level of students' verbal ability, the easier it is for students to understand and solve math problems or questions with the right answers.

Abstract

Evaluation is the process of collecting and analyzing in determining the achievement of learning objectives. Evaluation is a priority that must be carried out by a teacher in carrying out learning. but there are still obstacles experienced by teachers in evaluating, one of which is in choosing the method to be applied. this study aims to look at teacher perceptions of evaluation in the effective learning process of mathematics. this research is a descriptive qualitative study where this research will analyze the opinions of 27 teachers who were sampled. in this study, using a questionnaire as a tool to collect data on teacher perceptions to examine data descriptive methods were used. Based on the results of the study, it is known that teachers' perceptions of evaluation in the effective learning process of mathematics are at a good level where 63% of teachers agree that evaluation can help teachers in knowing the success of learning objectives. In addition, 66.7% of teachers think that evaluation can help teachers in determining more effective learning methods, however, evaluation should not be carried out without any strategy or method that has not been prepared. Where 70.4% of teachers said that before carrying out the evaluation they need to use an evaluation method to measure students' ability to understand mathematics material. Therefore, the existence of an evaluation is very helpful, especially in supporting the ability of students to what extent they understand the learning that has been delivered.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the professionalism of teachers in the learning process and students' perceptions of the professionalism of teachers in the learning process at school, because the professionalism of teachers guarantees the objectives of education. This research is a descriptive qualitative research where this research will analyze the opinions of 25 students from various schools sampled. The questionnaire used in this study is to obtain information related to students' perceptions of teacher professionalism in the learning process. Based on the results of the study, it is known that 96% of students agree that teachers have competence in teaching. In addition, 92.3% of students stated that teachers have a good understanding of the material presented. 100% of students also feel that teachers have excellent classroom management skills, 96.2% of students also feel that teachers have a friendly and open attitude towards student questions. Students also felt that the teacher gave positive feedback and was willing to help students' difficulties during learning very well (92.3%). Students also feel that teachers motivate students to learn effectively (96%) and students feel that teachers pay attention to students' needs well where 80% agree with the statement. Students also feel that teachers use various and interesting learning methods (92%), students also feel that teachers have the ability to manage and utilize technology well in learning (96.2%), students also feel that teachers have a strong commitment to helping students in learning (96%). Therefore, it can be concluded that teachers can be said to have good professionalism in learning.

Abstract

Network utilization to support learning activities is one of the innovations that must be developed by educators as part of the current education system that places them as facilitators. This study aims to look at students' perceptions of face-to-face and online-based learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research is in the form of questionnaires taken from 35 people as samples. Based on the results, it is known that a student's perception is not the same about face-to-face and online learning, where 82.9% feel it is easier to understand mathematics material when learning face-to-face while the rest choose online learning, so 77.1% of students consider that teachers, students and classmates have low interaction. In addition, 88.6% of students find it easier to develop social skills when learning face-to-face than online. 85.7% of students still need the teacher's role in person as a result of not maximizing online learning (60%). On the other hand, 60% of students find it easy to concentrate when learning online. Another view is that 68.6% of students think online learning is not more effective than face-to-face learning. The data exposure identifies that students' views prefer face-to-face learning compared to online, this implies that it is important for educators to offer a balanced choice between the two learning methods, paying attention to individual needs and students' learning styles.

Abstract

Audiovisual learning media is one of the teaching media used by teachers to make learning easier to understand. This research aims to see students' perceptions of the application of audiovisual learning media in mathematics learning subjects. This research is descriptive qualitative where this research will analyze the opinions of 28 students who were sampled. In this study, questionnaires were used to collect data on students' perceptions. Examining the data descriptive method was used. Based on the results of the study, it is known that students' perceptions of the application of audiovisual learning media make it easier for students to understand mathematics learning concepts are at a good level where 64.3% of students agree that the application of audiovisual learning media makes it easier for students to understand mathematics concepts. In addition, 78.6% of students also stated that the use of audiovisual learning media can make learning more interesting, and also 71.4% of students stated that the use of audiovisual learning media can provide a clearer picture of mathematics learning material. Therefore, the existence of audiovisual learning media is very helpful for a teacher during the teaching and learning process so that learning becomes fun.

Abstract

This article examined the English numeration conditions in the elementary school in Duyu, Palu, Central Sulawesi where the lack of learning media for numerical development. This highlights the need to combine visual learning approaches, such as the use of pictures related to numbers, to facilitate numerical mastery. While numeration is vital to life, many students still face the challenge of learning numeration and especially in English. The study involves qualitative descriptive methods. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of digital books and the impact they have on numerical cultures in today's era. The study suggests that the use of illustrated digital books has a positive effect on the ability to understand arithmetic. Students involved in illustrated digital books show an increased understanding of numbers, as interactive features and multimedia elements provide context, support, and involvement during the learning process. The integration of digital books means to improve student literacy not only enhances reading comprehension and language development but also tackles urgent problem of alignment and access to education.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study which is systematic literature review (SLR) method which can produce whether there is an influence between mathematical ability and creativity. This research use 20 articels. The purpose of this study is to describe creativity that influences the development of students in overcoming difficulties in problem solving activities. The results of the study were founs to show students’ creativity, namely fluency, flexibelty, novelty and elaboration.

Abstract

Education is the process of promoting and developing independence, and the capacity to support oneself without the help of others. Because the search for truth must be supported by theorems, properties, and postulates once established. Another science that can be learned through reason is mathematics, which carefully, precisely, and accurately defines its terms. Based on the trial tests given to class II students at SDN 1 Trayu, Singorojo District, Kendal Regency regarding fractional material, it proves that students still have limited knowledge about the material in these subjects. The research was conducted to increase students' understanding and interest in learning fractional material through demonstrative techniques using cardboard models and colored pencils. The research was conducted in two cycles, starting with planning, implementing actions, observing, reflecting, and ending with the preparation of the next cycle. There were 21 grade II students at SD N 1 Trayu who were the research subjects. The results of the research are evident from the increase in student learning outcomes which were originally in the pre-cycle the percentage of completeness was only 33.33%, then in cycle 1 the percentage of completeness was 52.38% and in cycle II it increased significantly to 90.47% the percentage of completeness.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy has not been applied optimally so that the numeracy literacy score of students from PISA is low. The low numeracy literacy skills can be overcome by organizing learning that facilitates students to have numeracy literacy. The research objectives in this study are: 1) to describe mathematics learning strategies in numeracy literacy habituation. 2) to describe the interaction of students and teachers in habituation of numeracy literacy. The type of research used by researchers is qualitative research. This research was conducted at MA Al-Mahrusiyah class X (Phase E) in the first semester of the 2022/2023. Data collection techniques were carried out by collecting documents, collecting theories, interviewing math teachers, direct observation and administering questionnaires. Data validity with triangulation. Data analysis techniques using two ways, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) numeracy literacy habituation has been running following three stages of literacy, namely: habituation, development and learning. Learning activities have implemented a variety of models. The learning modules prepared can facilitate students in the learning process and find concepts. The evaluation questions used focus on HOTS with various forms of questions, (2) habituation of numeracy literacy requires the activeness of students and the creativity of teachers in designing learning. In math learning activities, there are two activities, namely independent controlled training and group controlled training. Abstrak Literasi numerasi belum diterapkan secara maksimal sehingga skor literasi numerasi peserta didik dari PISA rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi bisa diatasi dengan penyelenggaraan pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk berliterasi numerasi. Tujuan penelitian pada penelitian ini yaitu: 1) mendeskripsikan strategi pembelajaran matematika dalam pembiasaan literasi numerasi. 2) mendeskripsikan interaksi peserta didik dan guru dalam pembiasaan literasi numerasi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MA Al-Mahrusiyah kels X (Fase E) pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dokumen, mengumpulkan teori, wawancara guru matematika, observasi langsung dan pemberian kuesioner. Keabsahan data dengan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan dua cara yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) pembiasaan literasi numerasi telah berjalan mengikuti tiga tahapan literasi, yaitu: pembiasaan, pengembangan dan pembelajaran. Kegiatan pembelajaran telah menerapkan model yang bervariasi. Modul pembelajaran yang disusun dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik dalam proses belajar dan menemukan konsep. Soal evaluasi yang digunakan terfokus pada HOTS dengan berbagai bentuk soal, (2) pembiasaan literasi numerasi membutuhkan keaktifan peserta didik dan kekreatifan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran matematika terdapat dua kegiatan yaitu pelatihan terkontrol mandiri dan pelatihan terkontrol kelompok.
