Abstract

The aims of this study were: 1) to describe the mistakes made by students in solving linear equations based on Watson's criteria in terms of students' thinking styles and 2) the factors that caused students to make these mistakes. This research is a qualitative descriptive study involving 29 students of class VIII D SMPN 5 Mataram as research subjects. Data on types of errors and factors that caused students to make mistakes in solving linear equation word problems were obtained through tests in the form of word problems and interview guides. The results showed that students with each type of concrete sequential, abstract sequential, concrete random, and abstract random thinking styles made mistakes that varied from the eight types of errors in Watson's criteria. Students with concrete random thinking styles make the most diverse mistakes compared to other types of thinking styles. Some of the factors that cause students to make mistakes in solving linear equation word problems are using the wrong formula, not mastering the concept of determining gradients and linear equations, lack of practice questions, not being thorough, having weak mastery of algebraic operations, unable to understand questions, ability to write mathematics low, and lack of mastery of the prerequisite material, namely point coordinate material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar matematika melalui metode jigsaw siswa kelas XI MultiMedia SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bima. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap data hasil penelitian dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bima menggunakan metode jigsaw dengan melakukan tindakan yaitu perubahan dalam penyampaian materi pelajaran, siswa menganalisis permasalahan , pembentukan kelompok diskusi dengan pengelompokan siswa secara heterogen, dan perwakilan kelompok siswa menyampaikan hasil diskusi di depan kelas. Langkah-langkah kegiatan tersebut dapat menguatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika dengan materi pokok matriks ( determinan, transport dan invers).Peningkatan ini terbukti pada hasil belajar siswa dari sebelum dilakukan tindakan dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 66,14 meningkat menjadi 72,26 pada siklus I dan menjadi 81,41 pada siklus II, maka sudah tercapai nilai ketuntasan yaitu sebanyak 100% siswa mencapai taraf keberhasilan. Kemudian kemampuan berpikir kritis juga mengalami peningkatan, terlihat dari hasil observasi yang menunjukkan ada peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Siklus I, presentase ketuntasan kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 52.94%, dan pada sklus II presentase ketuntasan siklus II sebesar 91.17%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the types and levels of errors made by class VIII B students of SMPN 1 Mataram when solving math word problems on number patterns based on Newman's error analysis in terms of student intelligence. The type of research used in this research is mixed methods. The strategy used in this study is the concurrent triangulation strategy. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, so that Class VIII B students were selected with a total of 36 students. Methods of data collection through intelligence tests, story tests with number patterns material, and interview tests. The researcher chose two students from each intelligence category to be the research subjects. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistics technique for quantitative data, then for qualitative data using the Miles and Huberman model. The following are the results of the study showing the types and levels of errors of students with intelligence (1) below average, (2) average, (3) above average who make errors in reading, understanding, question transformation, processing skills, and writing answers successively are (1) 15% (very low), 38% (low), 49% (moderate), 72% (high), 68% (high); (2) 6% (very low), 19% (low), 33% (low), 57% (moderate), 39% (low); (3) 10% (very low), 26% (low), 28% (low), 47% (moderate), 30% (low).

Abstract

There have been many primary studies on the application of the Problem Based Learning model to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills. All of these studies need to be identified, analyzed and concluded to produce suggestions for researchers and practitioners of mathematics education. This study aims to observe research trends by identifying and classifying studies related to the application of the Problem based learning model to improve the students' mathematical critical thinking skills in Indonesia from 2016 to 2023. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. There are 25 related articles analyzed in this study. The results of this SLR show that most on this topic were carried out in 2021 as well the research subjects were Junior High School students, dominated by build a flat side room material. The most widely used research method is the quantitative method. Based on the analysis of the research results of each article, it shows that the Problem based learning model can have a positive impact or improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills better than other learning models. The results of this study can be considered for researchers in conducting further research and for teachers in carrying out classroom learning. Abstrak Penelitian primer terkait implementasi model Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa telah banyak dilakukan. Penelitian-penelitian tersebut perlu diidentifikasi, dianalisis perkembangannya, dan ditarik kesimpulan secara umum sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai saran bagi kemajuan peneliti dan praktisi di bidang pendidikan matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tren penelitian dengan mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan seluruh hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan penerapan model Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di Indonesia pada tahun 2016-2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Terdapat 25 artikel terkait yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini. Hasil SLR ini menunjukkan penelitian implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa paling banyak dilakukan pada tahun 2021 serta subjek penelitian terbanyak pada siswa SMP/MTs dengan didominasi oleh materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Metode penelitian yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah metode kuantitatif dan secara umum hasilnya menunjukkan model Problem Based Learning mampu memberikan dampak positif atau meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa lebih baik dibandingkan model pembelajaran lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi para peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian dan bagi guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Mathematic literacy is important because mathematics is a subject that are often considered difficult by most students. Learning styles is one of the factors affecting students' mathematical literacy ability. Different learning styles can influence how a person understands and remembers information. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the learning style to the students' mathematical literacy ability. The research method used in this study is the SLR (literature review) method. Data collection is conducted by identifying or studying all articles that have the same research topic in the study. The articles used in this study were 20 journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database by using a Harzing's Publish or Perish application. The result of this study revealed that the learning style to the students' mathematical literacy ability is informed that it is discovered in a variety of learning styles that are dominated by visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles so that students in real life can use their mathematical skills to identify, interpret, and utilize the resources of daily life appropriately. Abstrak Literasi matematika menjadi hal yang penting karena matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sering dianggap sulit oleh sebagian besar siswa. Adapun gaya belajar merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Gaya belajar yang berbeda dapat mempengaruhi cara seseorang memahami dan mengingat informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan kajian literature review terkait dengan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi atau menelaah semua artikel yang memiliki topik penelitian yang sama pada penelitian ini. Artikel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 20 artikel jurnal yang diperoleh dari database google scholar dengan menggunakan aplikasi Harzing’s Publish or Perish. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa gaya belajar yang berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa diperoleh informasi bahwasanya ditemukan berbagai bentuk gaya belajar yang dalam hal ini didominasi oleh gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik agar siswa dikehidupan nyata dapat menggunakan keterampilan matematikanya untuk mengenali, menafsirkan, dan menggunakan sumber daya di kehidupan sehari-hari dengan tepat.

Abstract

Primary research related to the implementation of the STAD type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes has been widely conducted. These studies need to be identified, analyzed development, and drawn conclusions in general so that they can be used as suggestions for the progress of researchers and practitioners in the field of education. This study aims to see research trends by identifying and classifying all research results related to the application of the STAD model to student learning outcomes in Indonesia in 2016-2022. This study used the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. There were 20 related articles analyzed in this study. The results of this SLR show that research on the implementation of the STAD type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes was most carried out in 2018 and 2019 and the most research subjects in elementary / MI students dominated by science and mathematics subjects. The most widely conducted research method is the classroom action method and in general the results show that the STAD model is able to have a positive impact or improve student learning outcomes better than other learning models. The results of this study can be a consideration for researchers in conducting research and for teachers in carrying out learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Education is a systematic learning process that aims to develop individual abilities in all aspects of life. One of the important subjects in education is mathematics. To achieve maximum math learning outcomes, an effective and efficient learning model is needed. There are various kinds of math learning models that can be used, such as cooperative learning models, inquiry learning models, and so on. The purpose of this study was to determine the STAD type cooperative learning model and math learning outcomes. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Data collection is done by documenting all articles that have similar research in the research report. The articles used in this study were 20 journal articles and Scopus indexed proceedings using the Publish or Perish application. The results showed that the STAD type cooperative learning model was able to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning media is one means that can increase effectiveness and efficiency teaching and learning activities. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of media use learning on student learning outcomes in mathematics. Data collected through related journals for review. The method used in this research is SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. Researchers collect accredited national journal articles sourced from Google Scholar. Articles that 18 national journal articles were used in this study Obtained from google scholar. Articles that are collected are only articles that published in the period 2015-2023. The results of the research show that the use of media learning in learning mathematics is very influential to arouse interest and motivation of students and have an impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Research that is directly related to the effect of the jigsaw cooperative learning model on improving student learning outcomes has been widely carried out. These studies still need to be identified, reviewed, and generalized concluded so that they can be studied better. This study aims to analyze and examine research by identifying and classifying all research results related to the influence of the jigsaw cooperative model on improving mathematics learning outcomes in Indonesia in 2015-2022. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. There are 20 related articles analyzed in this study. The results of this SLR indicate that there is research on the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Most article publications occurred in 2020 and most were implemented at the SMP/MTs level. Research using quantitative methods is the dominating method and flat shape material is the material most taught to students. In general, based on the research results, it shows that the jigsaw cooperative learning model has a very positive impact on improving mathematics learning outcomes. The results of this study can be a consideration for researchers in conducting research and for teachers in implementing classroom learning.

Abstract

Pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran merupakan tujuan utama dari proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung di kelas. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut, maka dalam pembelajarannya sangat diperlukan kreatifitas dari pendidik untuk dapat meningkatkan minat serta motivasi siswa untuk belajar. Terlebih di era modern saat ini dimana guru dituntut agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuannya untuk memanfaatkan berbagai teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis android merupakan salah satu cara yang tepat sebagai alat bantu teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Artikel ini merupakan study literature yang membahas tentang pemanfaatan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis android dengan menggunakan software ispring quizmaker untuk membuat soal latihan dan evaluasi yang modern, menarik dan interaktif. Ispring quizmaker merupakan software yang terintegrasi pada powerpoint yang kemudian dapat diekspor ke dalam bentuk HTML dan dapat diakses melalui android. Lebih lanjut, terkait bagaimana desain media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android ini dapat memfasilitasi hasil belajar matematika siswa juga akan dibahas dalam artikel ini.
