The diagnosis of MFS in this patient is based on a clear history supported by supporting examinations such as electrophysiological examination and CSF analysis. CSF analysis is often unsupportive at the onset of the disease, in which case the validated Brighton criteria may serve as a reference for establishing the diagnosis of GBS and its variants.

Abstract

Ichthyosis is a group of various inherited and acquired keratinizing diseases with generalized scaling characteristics. Lamellar ichthyosis (IL) lasts a lifetime and almost always involves the entire skin surface. The diagnosis of IL in this patient is based on anamnesis history of premature birth covered in collodion membrane all over the body, physical examination for the presence of all-over sheet-like scales, slight erythema and fissures, family history, skin biopsy and laboratory findings for analysis of gene mutations. In this case of IL, pharmacological management, namely topical administration, in the form of albumin Vaseline as hydration after bathing is very useful for skin with ichthyosis; administration of tretinoin (0.025-0.05%) is an irritating keratolytic after several applications showing better skin barrier but can cause very painful fissures; and the use of antiseptics, eg antibacterial soaps, chlorhexidine, or iodine can help control bacterial colonization.

Abstract

Telemedicine has revolutionized healthcare delivery by providing remote medical consultations. This study explores the role of cloud computing in enabling telemedicine, with a particular focus on the utilization of medical image compression techniques and ensuring robust security and safety measures. The integration of cloud computing with telemedicine offers numerous advantages including scalable storage, flexible computing resources, and improved accessibility to medical data and applications. One critical aspect of telemedicine is the transmission and analysis of medical images such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs. However, the large size of these images can pose challenges in terms of the transmission speed and storage capacity. To address this, medical image are employed to reduce the size of images without a significant loss of diagnostic information. Security and safety are paramount in telemedicine systems, particularly when dealing with sensitive patient data and medical images. Cloud computing provides a robust infrastructure for ensuring data security and privacy, enabling the secure transmission and storage of medical images. This abstract discusses the implementation of encryption, access-control mechanisms, and authentication protocols to safeguard patient data during transmission and storage in the cloud. By leveraging cloud computing technologies, telemedicine can overcome geographical barriers and enhance healthcare accessibility for patients and healthcare professionals. Exploration of these topics will contribute to improving the efficiency, reliability, and quality of telemedicine services, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes and increased healthcare accessibility in both urban and rural settings.

Abstract

Student engagement is one of the important factors in learning to create enjoyable and high-quality learning. The issue frequently faced by lecturers or teachers in the classroom is how to encourage students to actively participate in learning, especially during the month of Ramadan fasting. With the characteristics of Generation Z students, the use of web-based or cloud-based applications can be utilized, such as Trello, Padlet, Miro, Kahoot, and Quizzes. To enable the lecturers at Esa Unggul University to provide enjoyable and high-quality learning, the Research and Community Service Department (LPPM) of Esa Unggul University conducts community engagement activities in the form of counseling or sharing sessions. This activity runs well and smoothly, yielding quite positive results as well. This evident can be seen from the evaluation results, which indicate that the scores obtained from the comprehension evaluation are as follows: 34% of participants scored 100, and 29% scored 75. Moreover, 85% of participants are also confident in applying or using these applications for student engagement and teaching assessment in the future. However, the rest are still uncertain, possibly due to their current job not aligning well with the implementation of these applications. The applications most chosen by participants to be used in their classroom learning are Trello with 39%, Padlet with 20%, and Miro with 7%.
