Abstract

Literary works are created from intuition and expressed in the form of ideas by authors who convey messages to the entire community. In addition, Hindu literary creations contain various moral messages. However, there needs to be an in-depth study to understand the moral message contained in it. Geguritan's Pengajaran is one of the traditional Balinese literary works, the author tends to tell stories well based on the conditions of existence of a literary work. Therefore, this Geguritan Pengajaran is very important to learn because it contains very noble Pengajaran as guidelines in living religious life. Pengajaran Geguritan's is a classic (traditional) literary work that uses pupuh, namely pupuh jerum. Poetry consists of 111 stanzas, each of which consists of 8 lines. Pengajaran Geguritan's presents fictional stories that contain ethical values. The ethical values shown were so much respect byparents I Nengah's for a child that wanted to propose in the end Ni Wayan. However, attitude I Nengah's towards his parents was not praiseworthy because his words were tinged with anger and accompanied by a raised hand. The value of Hindu religious education is very relevant to Geguritan Pengajaran. Keywords: Geguritan Pengajaran, Ethical Value

Abstract

Balinese people believe they live in the world to create goodness, which is called dharma. However, if the Balinese make mistakes, then when they die they will be reincarnated to cleanse their sins until they become one with God. This is the Balinese cosmological concept adopted in Balinese architecture. Traditional Balinese architecture is defined as a spatial layout that accommodates the life of the Balinese people who have developed from generation to generation with rules inherited from ancient times to the present. Balinese architecture is a vernacular architectural style designed using local materials to construct buildings, structures and houses, as well as reflecting local traditions Traditional Balinese architecture is inseparable from the existence of a Hindu script called Lontar Asta Kosala Kosali which contains the rules for making houses or puri and rules for places of worship or temples. In Asta Kosala Kosali it is stated that the rules for building a house must follow the anatomical rules of the house owner's body with the help of undagi as a holy person who has the authority to help build a house or temple. This paper aims to examine the philosophical aspects of Balinese buildings related to Balinese architecture; reintroducing Balinese buildings which are now becoming scarce. This is a qualitative research with a functional and philosophical approach. The data collection method is literature study. The results of the study were to determine the philosophical aspects of Balinese buildings and the tipes of Balinese buildings. Keywords: Balinese Architecture, Philosophy

Abstract

The law is a kind of nature of God's power that is shown in a form that can be seen and experienced by every living being without exception. This pure and eternal form of God's law, in Hinduism is called the Rta. The Law of Apostates is a pure law that is absolute transcendental with its legal form called Dharma. Rta in Hinduism became the basis of karmaphala teachings. It is this rta that regulates the consequences of human behavior as a unity invisible to man and the universe is controlled by the laws of birth (Utpeti), life (Stiti) and death (Pralina), and no one can avoid the law. If this Rta is violated or not obeyed according to its rules then there will be disharmony in this life, disasters will occur everywhere, and destruction will come again and again. people who follow the law taught by sacred libraries and follow sacred customs gain notoriety in this world and after death receive infinite happiness. Keywords: Rta, Law, Brahman, Consciousness

Abstract

Lontar Bubuksah as a creation or the heritage of Hindu culture contains a story about the moral preaching of priests, philosophy of life and syncretism between the preaching of Shiva and Budha thus it is clear that the manuscript contents of the Lontar Bubuksah are about religion. Through the two main figures of Gagakaking and Bubuksah brothers each chose a different path in realizing their ideals.Even the way carried out each seemed very contradictory. However, both of them hold one concept that is successfully believed and implemented consistently and consequently The value of holiness is played by the character of Gagakaking with all his behavior based on spiritual purity. While the value of lascarya is played by Bubuksah in his tyaga pati and all manner of behavior in carrying out his brata bherawa. Different behaviors have a connecting line that can be drawn is the value of a satya; loyalty to the choice of beliefs that are considered true with all the consequences, as well as being faithful to both achieve the realm of freedom (moksa). This research uses a qualitative research method about the Bubhuksah lontar text. Therefore, from the research standpoint it is an exploratory research (explotrative research) in this case the research and study of the Bubuksah lontar text with primary data namely the Bubuksah lontar and secondary data of this study were obtained from two sources namely documents and through discussions with informants and in the form of literature, references and books. Keywords: Phylosophy, preaching of priests, Lontar Bubuksah and Gagakaking, goal of life.

Abstract

This paper describes comprehensive the communication that is communal in the form of community interaction in the ngedeblag tradition carried out by the people of Kemenuh Village as part of respect for tradition and maintaining the balance of the energy of the universe. The presence of modern life, does not necessarily only affect the life of urban communities which tend to be heterogeneous. However, through cultural and market expansion, massive economic growth, and social mobility, a civilization that can generalize all aspects of life can even form the individualistic and materialistic side of each individual. Uniquely, the presence of a tradition in the life of people in Bali can become a fortress for this form of generalization. As seen in Kemenuh society, it is related to the ngedeblag tradition which is believed to be part of a ritual to drive out evil spirits or negative forces, and to restore the balance of the great bhuwana. In ongoing observations, the tradition of ngedeblag is actually a reflection of the life of the communal community. This is indicated by the process of interaction through community communication patterns that occur from the beginning of preparation for the implementation of the ngedeblag tradition to the end of the tradition. Not only in the aspect of social interaction, the communication of this tradition also has implications for the next generations of the existence of the ngedeblag tradition as part of cultural heritage and understanding the expression or intent to be conveyed through the ngedebalag tradition. Keywords: Ngedeblag Tradition, Communal Communication, Modern Life
