Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendekatan komunikatif pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikasi pada mahasiswa Jurusan Dharma Duta Sekolah Tinggi Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. Fenomena tersebut dilandasi oleh alasan bahwa fungsi bahasa sebagai alat komunikasi, sehingga proses komunikasi dalam pembelajaran yang menggunakan bahasa Inggris lebih aktif. Penelitian ini difokuskan tiga aspek, yaitu (1) bentuk komunikasi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikasi; (2) pendekatan komunikatif pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikasi; (3) implikasi pendekatan komunikatif dan relevansi konten materi ajar bahasa Inggris komunikasi dengan komunikasi Hindu. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk deskriftif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah Teori S-M-C-R dan Teori Konstruktivisme.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk komunikasi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikasi adalah komunikasi verbal dengan menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai alat komunikasi dalam bentuk komunikasi kelompok. Pendekatan komunikatif mampu membuat mahasiswa untuk lebih aktif karena pendekatan ini lebih menekankan praktek penggunaan fungsi bahasa itu sendiri melalui keaktifan dan keterlibatan mahasiswa. Pendekatan komunikatif ini menggunakan metode diskusi dengan penugasan membuat makalah dan dipersentasikan dalam bahasa Inggris sehingga menciptakan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam berkomunikasi. Implikasi pendekatan komunikatif pembelajaran bahasa Inggris komunikasi adalah berbahasa karena bahasa merupakan aplikasi dari komunikasi. Dalam pendekatan komunikatif implikasi paling nyata yaitu harus ada interaksi verbal, baik antara pengajar dengan peserta didik maupun antar peserta didik. Relevansi konten materi ajar bahasa Inggris komunikasi dengan komunikasi Hindu adalah bahasa Ingris diajarkan untuk berkomunikasi dengan materi ajar yang berkaitan dengan Hindu, baik dari segi nilai, ajaran, dan budaya.

Abstract

The influence of media digitization has led to the development of journalistic media so rapidly. Initially only conventional media experienced disruption to digital. The birth of social media is a concrete form. Besides being used as a medium for uploading thoughts, social media is also used as a publication media such as conventional journalism media. This activity is also carried out by the pasraman. This encourages descriptive qualitative research. Research on the penetration of pasraman journalism that is studied is the activity of pasraman in West Lombok Regency through social media in the digital era. This qualitative research data obtained by the method of observation, interviews and documentation. From the research conducted, it is illustrated that pasraman activities in West Lombok Regency are not very active in social media. A total of 26 (twenty six) pasraman in West Lombok Regency. Only 46.15% use Facebook, 7.69% use Instagram and 7.69% also use Youtube. From December 2020 to February 2021 the most active pasraman on Facebook is Pasraman Yowana Dharma Sastra, on Youtube is Pasraman Widya Giri Malaka, while on Instagram no one has ever uploaded anything.Keywords: Pasraman Journalism, Social Media

Abstract

Social media is one of the new media which in addition to having a positive impact as technological advancement. The ease and speed of interacting and disseminating information is the main attraction of this service. In addition to having a positive impact, social media also has a negative impact as a medium for disseminating information. The negative side of technological progress through social media creates a new phenomenon in the midst of this digital era called post-truth. Post-truth as a new era is marked by the exclusion of truth and putting forward emotions. In simple terms, post-truth can be interpreted that people are looking for justification rather than the truth. This paper aims to find out how social media literacy is in the post-truth era. Social media literacy is a person's skill in finding, selecting, and applying information sources on social media. These skills are needed to remain able to carry out social media activities wisely and safely so that audiences are critical of the media as well as determine the information needed from the media. In addition, the government's efforts through the regulation of the ITE Law are an important way to combat post-truth on social media.

Abstract

This paper was conducted by authors based on research about the reality of the policy for handling the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, which has many pros and cons in the Indonesian people. Especially related to the existence of paid vaccinations and the issue of the PCR test business which is indicated to involve the political elite. Based on this background, the authors conducted a literature study to uncover the link between the commercialization of medical devices during the pandemic with the confusion of democratic discourses understood through a teleological perspective. The philosophical hermeneutic method is used by authors to be able to analyze in depth the implications of the confusion of democratic discourse on the existence of paid vaccines and the PCR test business. The discussion in this study resulted in conclusions, namely: (1) teleological theory is a theory that refers to purposes-oriented understanding. Its main basis is the doctrine of concequencialsm and welfarism which leads to general happiness. (2) Democracy is a discourse that describes a system of governance that idealizes social justice and people's sovereignty, but the implementation of democracy seen from a teleological perspective has always never reached its ideal purposes because it is based on public representation that does not really represent it as a whole. (3) The business issue of PCR testing and paid vaccines explains the implications of the confusion of democratic discourse, because democracy is considered as a proposition that explains the final truth and tends to be potentially used as a tool of political hegemony that reduces the interests of the people

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how the TVRI west nusa tenggara producer's strategy in presenting news on the Sudut Pandang dialogue shows the background of the number of viewers the Sudut Pandang dialogue shows an average of less than 20 viewers per day on YouTube, so researchers are interested in examining how the strategy Producer in presenting the Sudut Pandang dialogue news program on TVRI station. This study uses nonparticipatory observation methods, interviews and documentation with a descriptive qualitative approach. In this study, an analysis was carried out using interpersonal communication theory with a triadic communication pattern based on the concept of Pontoh and Novinati to TVRI Producers in presenting news on the Sudut Pandang dialogue. The results of this study are that the producer has a strategy in presenting news on Sudut Pandang where the first strategy is to make the theme as interesting as possible, maintain communication with colleagues and lastly continue to evaluate to find out the obstacles that occur. The producer's strategies are in accordance with the strategic concept, namely the planning stage, the production stage, and the evaluation stage. With these strategies, it is hoped that Producers will be able to develop new strategies that can increase the audience's interest in watching the Sudut Pandang dialogue.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the potential of Buwun Sejati tourism village in an effort to brand tourism villages to attract tourist visits. Buwun Sejati Village besides having beautiful natural potential also has its own potential, namely the life of the Buwun Sejati village community which is thick with the value of tolerance even though they live side by side with religious and cultural differences. The potential value of tolerance in Buwun Sejati village life was then written by the online media Mandalika Post in a news story. The focus of the research is to find out the branding of the Buwun Sejati tourist village as a tolerance tourism village through the Mandalika Post online media coverage. This study was designed in a qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that in carrying out a branding of Buwun Sejati tourism village as a tolerance tourism village, it was actually quite unique compared to other tourist village branding. The residents of Buwun Sejati village do not need to make major changes in community life in their village, in an effort to attract tourist visits. because the life of the people who live side by side in the midst of religious, ethnic and cultural differences, it becomes the potential advantage of the village to become a tourist attraction, but what needs to be done is to inform the potential of Buwun Sejati village as a tourism village of tolerance to the wider audience so that the existence and unique attraction of Buwun village Indeed, it is known by the wider community so that it can attract tourist visits. The branding of the Buwun Sejati tourist village as a tolerance tourism village was carried out by Mandalika Post in an online news story. In an effort to branding news writing using a 5 W + 1 H writing structure, namely What, What, Where, When, Why, and How. The structure of the news writing is done so that the wider community or readers can obtain clear information about the tolerance tourism village of Buwun Sejati. Abstract

Community Service Activities carried out by the Cultural and Religious Tourism Study Program in 2021 in Karang Kubu Hamlet, Bilebante Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency, NTB Province. This hamlet was chosen as the location of the dedication because it has the potential for local wisdom, especially for the younger generation of Hindus, besides that Bilebante village is a tourist village that has beautiful natural charm. The methods used in this service are lectures, discussions and also practices which are carried out for five days from morning to evening. As for the results of the coaching, namely the practice of praying together between the temple implementing team and community members, especially the younger generation of Hindus. Furthermore, there is development of regional dances, namely Balinese dance, yoga coaching, public speaking for dharma discourse and also master of ceremonies, and also creation of promotional video content for the Bilebante tourist village by exploring the beauty of the village with narration using three languages, namely Balinese as a regional language, Indonesian. as the national language and English as the international language. The video content is expected to become a promotional event for the Bilebante tourist village through digital media.

Abstract

One of the vital pedagogical elements that will help students master a language is interaction in the classroom. Unfortunately, the conversation quickly changed in a virtual classroom because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Quizizz is well-known for effectively facilitating remote learning as a learning platform that provides various features. This project will use Quizizz as a substitute for traditional lectures for students in non-English departments. The Quizizz platform in this study's descriptive qualitative research approach provides a deep discussion on the use of the Quizizz platform in creating interactive remote lecturing. Quizizz was found highly beneficial and engaging for many students, and they strongly supported utilizing it in other disciplines. It is also important to highlight that the students' improved motivation to learn English was aided by their increased Quizizz engagement. Furthermore, this platform specifically increased student involvement in online English education, notably for students not enrolled in the English Department. Finally, despite the outbreak, providing Quizizz to students positively affected them. Students still find motivation and enthusiasm in virtual interactive learning experiences through Quizizz.

Abstract

Kebangkitan ekonomi Nusa Tenggara Barat melalui event internasional MotoGP adalah salah satu berita yang massif diberitkana oleh media cetak, eletronik, hingga media online baik media nasional maupun media daerah. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis wacana pemberitaan kebangkitan ekonomi NTB melalui event MotoGP. Analisis Wacana Model Van Dijk pada berita online daerah rri.co.id bertemakan “MotoGP Mandalika dan Kebangkitan Sektor Parekraf NTB” berisi tentang karakteristik dan pendekatan model Van Dijk yang menggambarkan tiga elemen yaitu struktur makro, superstruktur dan struktur mikro. Pada struktur makro menjelaskan mengenai tema besar yang mengungkapkan MotoGP Mandalika sebagai event kebangkitan ekonomi NTB. Elemen yang kedua yakni mengenai superstruktur yakni skematika penulisan yang berisi lead atau kepala berita yang menegaskan tema pada alenia pertama kedua dan ketiga. Elemen yang terakhir yaitu struktur mikro yang umumnya mereprentasikan keterlibatan beberapa elemen wacana, yakni aspek semantik(latar, yang berlokasi di Mandalika kabupaten Lombok Tengah Nusa Tenggara Barat), elemen sintaksis (kata ganti dari tokoh nasional Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Salahudin Uno) elemen stilistik (leksikon megenai pemilihan kata yang digunakan dalam kalimat seperti, “dirawat, yang artinya dilanjutkan, dilestarikan. “disuguhi” yang artinya dipertunjukkan, ditampilkan.) Sedangkan aspek retoris (grafis, ditunjukkan dengan gambar bapak Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Sandiaga Salahudin Uno sedang memaparkan harapan kebangkitan pariwisata ekonomi melalui event MotoGP Mandalika (metafora terletak pada pemilihan ukuran huruf pada judul terlihat lebih besar daripada isi berita).
