Abstract

Puppet art has many types, one of which is Wayang (puppet) Lemah as a sacred performance that is used as an accompaniment to a yad ceremony. As the name implies, Wayang Lemah should be staged during the day and in line with the yad accompanied, but if the ceremony takes place at night, still use the Wayang Lemah Show, because its main function is accompanying the Panca yad namely: Manusa yadnya, Pitra yadnya, Dewa yadnya, Bhuta yadnya and yad receipt. This study seeks to examine more deeply the elements of Wayang Lemah Show from philosophical aspects. The data of this study were obtained through observation, interviews with five Puppeteer masters and looking for additional data through library studies. This research shows that every element (people, puppets, gamelan and supporting property) has interconnected philosophical meanings. Keywords: Philosophy, Wayang, Wayang Lemah

Abstract

The cultural manifestations carried out jointly, especially by Hindus in Bali, are demonstrated through this local wisdom to express gratitude to God or Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Titib (2007: 41) states that local wisdom gives a hue and coloring the life of Hinduism and Balinese culture. Hinduism gives enlightenment to Balinese people while still preserving existing beliefs and traditions. Every region in Bali has its own religious tradition that is characteristic of one of them in the village of Giri Mas, which is an ancient ceremony that takes place from generation to generation namely the Ngusaba Bukakak Ceremony conducted by the community in Giri Emas Village. Subak is a Balinese cultural heritage in the form of an irrigation system that regulates the distribution of water management based on patterns of harmony and togetherness based on formal rules and religious values. The management of conventional irrigation systems tends to only be based on the concepts of efficiency based on formal rules, with an economic mindset. Meanwhile, the concepts of effectiveness, religious values, and management of irrigation systems based on harmony and togetherness, are well-organized and flexible in this subak system in Bali. The background of the establishment of this organization was several thousand years ago because of the steep topography and conditions of the rivers in Bali. This causes the water source in a farmer's rice complex is generally quite far and limited. To be able to channel water to a rice field complex, they must make a tunnel through the rocky hills. This condition caused the Balinese farmers to gather themselves and form a Subak organization. Keyword : Ngusaba Bukakak, Community Contestation, Tourist Attraction

Abstract

Religious moderation is our perspective in moderate religion, which is to understand and practice religious teachings in not extreme way. To minimize religious conflict, religious moderation is the solution. Religious moderation can be realized by applying theology of harmony. Theology of harmony is how each religious adherent comprehends the religion that they believes in comprehensively and then seeks to find common ground in the values of other religions, not in the domain of religious beliefs they wants to unite, what they wants to unite are the values of togetherness not the values of the differences. Harmony among religions is one of the main sticks in maintaining good, peaceful, united and agreed relations between religious communities of different religions to live in harmony. Keywords: Religious Moderation, Theology of Harmony.

Abstract

Balinese people believe they live in the world to create goodness, which is called dharma. However, if the Balinese make mistakes, then when they die they will be reincarnated to cleanse their sins until they become one with God. This is the Balinese cosmological concept adopted in Balinese architecture. Traditional Balinese architecture is defined as a spatial layout that accommodates the life of the Balinese people who have developed from generation to generation with rules inherited from ancient times to the present. Balinese architecture is a vernacular architectural style designed using local materials to construct buildings, structures and houses, as well as reflecting local traditions Traditional Balinese architecture is inseparable from the existence of a Hindu script called Lontar Asta Kosala Kosali which contains the rules for making houses or puri and rules for places of worship or temples. In Asta Kosala Kosali it is stated that the rules for building a house must follow the anatomical rules of the house owner's body with the help of undagi as a holy person who has the authority to help build a house or temple. This paper aims to examine the philosophical aspects of Balinese buildings related to Balinese architecture; reintroducing Balinese buildings which are now becoming scarce. This is a qualitative research with a functional and philosophical approach. The data collection method is literature study. The results of the study were to determine the philosophical aspects of Balinese buildings and the tipes of Balinese buildings. Keywords: Balinese Architecture, Philosophy

Abstract

The existence of subak in Bali has been very well known to foreign countries, even one of the subaks in Tabanan, namely the Jatiluwih Subak, designated as the World Cultural Heritage (WDB). But behind subak's fame, there is a lot of land use change that causes the subak area to narrow from year to year. In addition, the interest of the young generation to become rice farmers is very small, they prefer to work in the service sector, which provides a more certain income. This caused most of the subak manners to be classified as old. The small interest of the young generation to become rice farmers, followed by the decreasing implementation of tradition / culture carried out by subak manners seen from the tri hita karana aspect. In the aspect of parhyangan, most of the subak traditions / cultures are rarely carried out and instead are no longer implemented. In the Pawongan aspect, today there is almost no more working relationship between subak manners based on mutual cooperation and mutual assistance, only laborbased relations, measured by the value of money. Likewise in the aspect of Palemahan, most of the traditions / cultures that were formerly carried out, are now no longer implemented.Keyword : Subak, Culture dan Tri Hita Karana

Abstract

Hindu religious counselors in providing Hindu religious education to millennials require a new and unique strategy to deal with the dynamics of the times. Comic media, such as @bogbogbalicartoon and @pinsianart as a means of counseling Hinduism, can turn out to be a tool in socializing Hindu teachings because they are expected to be able to convey information effectively and efficiently. Comics are tools that have the function of conveying a message. As a media, messages conveyed through comics are usually clear, coherent, and fun. For this reason, comic media has the potential to become a source of learning. In this case, learning comics play a role as a tool to convey learning messages. Comics are a form of visual communication media that has the power to convey information in a popular and easy to understand way. This is possible because comics combine the power of images and writing, which are assembled in a storyline making images more easily absorbed. The text makes it more understandable, and the flow makes it easier to follow and remember.Keyword: Online Comics, Media for Extension of Hinduism, Millennial Generation
