Abstract

Roads are an important factor in supporting agricultural development and making it more efficient. In the construction of agricultural roads in Lama Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, the presence of soft soil is one of the problems in the construction of farm road construction. Embankments built on soft subgrade without reinforcement will experience a slide. so that it is necessary to strengthen and improve the subgrade soil to prevent road sliding. This study aims to increase the carrying capacity of water-saturated soil on agricultural land in Lama Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency. The method used in research on the improvement and strengthening of the subgrade for farm roads is cement stabilization. The variations in cement content used were 3%, 4%, and 5%. The bearing capacity of subgrade and stabilized soil will be tested using a dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP). From the research results, it can be seen that the average CBR value of subgrade is 0.65%. From the results of the comparison of soil CBR values, soil stabilization with a cement percentage of 3% shows a CBR value of 5.51%, or 6%, fulfilling the requirements to increase soil carrying capacity according to MDP 2017, where the minimum subgrade CBR for pavement design is 6%.

Abstract

Opak Desi UKM is an UKM engaged in producing opaque crackers made from sweet potatoes/cassava. However, the work environment in these SMEs still does not have a clean kitchen standard. This clean kitchen standard is known as the GMP rules (Good Manufacturing Practice). GMP is a guideline for how to produce food with the aim that producers meet the predetermined requirements to produce quality food products in accordance with consumer demands. The problem is that the production area in SMEs is less hygienic and uncomfortable for workers and the flow of materials that occur experience cross movement, which means they intersect and also occur double tracking which causes the production process to be hampered. This research was completed using the assessment of the GMP checklist to evaluate the overall work system. The results of the checklist assessment are processed using the AHP method. The results of the assessment show that the criteria for storage and material handling with a weight of 1.65658 for UKM Opak are work system improvement priorities. Some of the proposed recommendations for improving the work system are the design of the SSOP work system, GMP, and the design of a new layout adapted to food safety and hygiene standards. The recommendations are expected to be able to increase productivity in the production process as well as safer, healthier and more comfortable working conditions.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) protects the safety and health of employees in carrying out their work, and strives to control all forms of potential hazards that exist in the work environment of PT. The Tea Factory Unit of Nusantara Plantation, Tobasari Plantation, is part of PTPN IV which operates in the argo industry. The main product to be processed is the. PTPN IV Tobasari Tea Factory Unit is a very risky work environment. In the factory production process, it is also not far from risks such as large fires. During the production of PTPN IV, the Tobasari unit needed an occupational safety program to develop employee creativity so that the quality and production results of the company were good. The method used in this study was to use the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Control (HIRAC) method. Hazard Identification identifies potential hazards that may occur, and the next step is Risk Assessment Control, namely assessing risks based on likelihood and Severity. The results showed that there were 12 potential hazards identified and categorized in 3 risk ratings, of which 5% were included in high risk, 26% were in moderate risk, and 19% were in low risk.

Abstract

PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is a company engaged in the pulp and kerta production business with domestic and foreign product marketing areas. PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is one of Indonesia's largest pulp and paper producing companies. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability of the process based on existing off-grade products using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis methods to then control and analyze the causes of off-grade products and seek improvements. The results showed that there were 3 types of off-grade products: Low Brightness, Dirt Count, and Viscosity. From the calculation, the results were obtained that the largest off-grade products were X1 (viscosity) with a number of smallpox products as much as 167 tons with 26.95%, X2 (brightness) with a number of defective products with as much as 332 tons with 53.55%, and X3 (dirt count) with the number of defective products as much as 124 tons with 20%. From the FMEA results, the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value was obtained, namely 432 for the cause of failure due to irregular setting of the temperature and time of the digester and washing machine at Low Brightness failure. For continuous improvement, various aspects are carried out, namely human aspects, work environment, work methods, machines, and, materials.

Abstract

PT. PP London Sumatra is a factory that processes oil palm fruit into Crude Palm Oil (CPO). Oil palm fruit that comes from plantations is re-sorted by the sorting operator based on the level of fruit maturity. This sorting process is done manually using a gancu tool. At initial observation, it appears that workers have a poor working position so there is a musculoskeletal risk, so that data collection will be carried out using the Nordic Body Map Questionnaire, interviews, and documentation in the form of photos of the operator while working. Musculoskeletal risks were observed in several areas of the body, such as the back, waist, neck, upper arms, forearms, and wrists. Body posture analysis using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) and Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) methods was used in this study. The REBA method is used to analyze the lower and upper body postures, while the RULA method is to analyze the lower body postures. In the REBA analysis results obtained a score of 10 with a very high level of risk while RULA obtained a score of 7 with a high level of risk. Provision of repair solutions is carried out on sorting operators, namely changing body posture while working and suggestions for repairing work tools. At the analysis stage of improving posture, the REBA score fell to 7 with a mod.

Abstract

UD. Mariadi Rangka is a business engaged in furniture, precisely in the manufacture of sofa frames. For optimal productivity results, employees who have expertise and work discipline are needed. In this case the company UD. Mariadi Rangka has not implemented a Performance Appraisal system, therefore it is necessary to assess the performance of employees to assist the company in making decisions such as promotion of positions, giving bonuses, wage increases, and termination of work. The conclusion of the results of this study is that there are 5 weight criteria that will be used as a reference in employee performance assessment, namely attendance with a weight of 30, ethics with a weight of 15, time discipline with a weight of 20, work quality with a weight of 20, and quantity of results with a weight of 15. From the calculation of Sugeng are employees best in UD. Mariadi Rangka with a Preference value of 89,9.

Abstract

PT. Torganda PKS Rantau Kasai is one of the palm oil processing plants that produce crude palm oil (CPO), and palm kernel (kernel) products. As the production process progresses, there is a problem with the sterilizer, namely downtime. The purpose of this study is to calculate the effectiveness of the sterilizer machine and provide a proposal for machine maintenance planning. The methods used are the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Six Big Losses methods to calculate the effectiveness of the machine and find out what losses are the largest. The results of the calculation of the effective value of the sterilizer machine from May 2021 to April 2022 the average availability ratio value is 96.33%, the performance efficiency of 64.40%, and the rate of the quality product is 100%. o the value of Overall. Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is 62.04%. This value is still below the predetermined World OEE standard of 85%. The value of six big losses that had the biggest effect on the decline in the effectiveness of sterilizers was reduced speed losses, which was 82.46%. The proposed maintenance planning carried out is to improve the maintenance of the sterilizer machine on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, apply preventive and corrective maintenance on the sterilizer machine, and conduct periodic inspections on the sterilizer machine.

Abstract

Research at the Harun Kuala Tanjung clinic conducted an analysis of the level of satisfaction of BPJS patients with the quality of service, which so far in the service activities carried out there are still complaints. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the interests or satisfaction of patients who can use the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. Based on the results of the calculation of the satisfaction level, it got a score of 8720 and obtained an average satisfaction score of 87.2. As for the results of the calculation of the improvement ratio, the value taken to be the basis for improvement in the analysis of the level of patient satisfaction with the quality of service, the value obtained was 1.3744, namely in statement/statement number 15 which contains, Knowledge and the ability of the doctor to establish the diagnosis of the disease. The value that is getting closer or the value that is most obtained means the value or statement that must be corrected. The results of the improvement rating use the calculation of the level of absolute importance and relative importance, namely conducting health training and seminars, maintaining good relations with patients, serving patients in accordance with existing procedures, being fast and responsive in handling patients, not Differentiating patient status, improving the ability to resolve patient complaints, explaining information in easy-to-understand language, being meticulous when examining patients seeking treatment, adding parker land and parker facilities. Next came the establishment of the House of Quality house.

Abstract

The New Sustenance Trading Business is a business engaged in snacks, precisely making cassava chips. In this business, there is a residue and insufficient use of supplies of supporting raw materials such as cooking oil, garlic, and table salt. Therefore, it is necessary to control inventory with a method, namely Just In Time (JIT). Based on the results of the research by applying Just In Time (JIT) to get the total cost of cooking oil inventory of Rp. 1,174,888, garlic Rp. 272,673, table salt Rp. 516,218 and when applying the Just In Time (JIT) method there was a saving in the cost of cooking oil inventory of Rp. 1,206,705, garlic Rp. 1,550,542 and table salt Rp. 668,048.

Abstract

The current performance measurement conducted by PT. Torganda PKS Rantau Kasai is a traditional performance measurement method that only focuses on the financial aspect as s benchmark for measuring performance. However, performance measurement ignores other company stakeholders such as employees and suppliers. Performance Prism is used for performance design and measurement. Performance measurement in this study is also supported by several methods including weighting with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the priority value scale of each KPI, Scoring System with Objectives Matrix (OMAX) method, and Traffic Light System to determine the total index value of the company. This research is classified as descriptive research, data collection techniques are carried out by conducting direct interviews with the company and distributing open questionnaires to selected sources, and distributing AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) questionnaires. The results of the measurement analysis of PT. Torganda PKS Rantau Kasai has achieved the expected performance with a total index of 7.1307. In this study, there are 3 stakeholders, namely investors (head office) with 10 KPIs, employees with 10 KPIs, and suppliers with 10 KPIs. In total there are 30 KPIs as performance indicators of PT. Torganda PKS Rantau Kasai found 6 KPIs in the green category, 16 KPIs in the yellow category, and 8 KPIs in the red category.
