Abstract

The amount of violence and harassment that women still experience in the workplace shows that there is no safe and comfortable place for women in the public environment, especially the workplace. The 2023 International Labour Organisation (ILO) Survey results also indicate that Indonesia is among the nations experiencing an emergency scenario of workplace violence. Based on this background, the research aims to shed light on the reality of workplace violence and harassment against women from a gender perspective. The literature review method was employed in this study. This approach uses numerous references from books, articles, and earlier research journals. This study used secondary data for its data collection. International journal databases like Google Scholar, Pubmed, Researchget, and Crossref were used for journal searches. The terms "violence and harassment of women in the workplace" and "violence against women at the workplace" are used in the search for data sources. The findings of the research point to the complexity of the issue of violence and harassment against women in the workplace, which is influenced by a variety of individual factors, structures, and norms. Through the individual aspect, it is understood that women are always portrayed by inherent gender stereotypes that can lead to violence and harassment. Meanwhile, through the aspects of structure and norms, it is understood that there is a role of power relations and hierarchical structures attached to gender identity in shaping an environment that allows violence and harassment to occur. A strategic step that can be taken is to incorporate the institutionalisation of gender issues coupled with an understanding of gender from the human side to place every gender, both women and men, together to feel safe.

Abstract

Women presently lead 37.5 percent of districts/cities in Banten Province. Additionally, in the previous government position, the figure reached 50%. Similarly, women won two elections at the provincial level in the four gubernatorial polls that were held. The substantial participation of women in Banten's election campaign is fascinating to investigate. This research aims to determine the contestation of women in the Political Islamic law and gender in Banten Province, as well as a review of Islamic law political on women's contestation in election political maps. This study employs a qualitative method of content analysis. This study's findings reveal that women's engagement in the political map of the regional election in Banten was due to the freedom, opportunity, and chance for women to participate in the political sphere. Furthermore, the family's involvement and participation were significant owing to their typical family background as politicians who previously served in the same position, known as the relay and inheritance of family leadership. Some refer to it as a familial political dynasty. According to an examination of Islamic law, women's participation in the political map of the regional elections in Banten does not contravene the siyasa syar'iyyah because it is included in the siyasa dusturiyyah. Furthermore, Islam does not forbid women from participating in politics

Abstract

Negative self-esteem is one of the effects of female victimization by violence. The manifestations of violence are physical, sexual, and psychological. This study seeks to determine the relationship between various forms of violence and negative self-esteem among female victims in Makassar. This research employs quantitative methods. 350 women who had experienced physical, sexual, or mental violence were the subjects of this study. The scale of violence and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) were used as measuring instruments in this study. The Spearman Rho test was utilized to conduct a nonparametric statistical analysis of the data. The results of this study indicate that physical, sexual, and psychological forms of violence have a positive correlation with negative self-esteem in female victims in the city of Makassar (r = 0.299 and p = 0.000; physical: r = 0.128 and p = 0.016; sexual: r = 0.227 and p = 0.000; psychological: r = 0.302 and p = 0.000). This means that the greater the frequency of physical, sexual, and psychological violence, the higher the negative self-esteem of female victims. Psychological violence exerts the greatest influence on negative self-esteem (r=0.300). It is anticipated that the research can serve as a foundation for the treatment of female victims of violence, including the provision of self-esteem-related interventions

This virus can attack anyone, from the elderly (old age groups), adults, children and babies, to pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers. Abstract

Leadership can be done by everyone. Leadership that can be clearly observed in life is leadership that is implemented in the political realm, such as involvement in the regional representative council as a leader and representative of the regional people. However, women's involvement in politics is still quite lacking for several reasons. This research was conducted to analyze the role of women starting from the problem of women's involvement in the political realm with a case study of women's involvement in the District DPRD. Sukoharjo. By combining analysis of Feminism Theory and Leadership Theory: genetic, social, ecological using interview methods and literature studies, women's involvement in the legislative realm can be analyzed. The results of the analysis found the fact that there is minimal representation of women in Indonesia and the Sukoharjo DPRD. The biggest factor in the lack of women's representation in Indonesia is the lack of interest from women themselves due to limited understanding and lack of courage

Abstract

Masculinity is the result of gender construction originating from societal culture, where each society has a different culture. So these differences blend and create diverse types of masculinity. This research discusses two types of masculinity, namely soft masculinity and ubersexual. Soft maculinity emerged as a reaction to traditional, rigid masculinity norms. This type of man prioritizes empathy, emotional sensitivity, and also the courage to express his emotions openly. The TikTok content creator represents soft masculinity is Fahmi Nasrulloh who challenges patriarchal norms by showing that men can cook too. Meanwhile, ubersexual desribes men who are intellectual, confident, principled, as seen in Irwan, who is a TikTok content creator in the fields of politics, economis, and business. Through his TikTok content, he voiced his concern about corruption in Indonesia which is increasingly becoming an emergency. This research uses a critical discourse analysis methode with a qualitative approach. This type of research is descriptive, located on the tikTok platform. The results of the research show that the differences between the two types of masculinity lie in the approach to appearance, the values adhered to, behavioral patterns, relationships, and emotional expression. These two types show an evolution in the understanding of the role of men in society, and provide an idea of how a man should behave and interact in his environment. This research was conducted to determine the development of the construction of masculinity and see how the differences between the types of masculinity between soft masculinity and ubersexual are described

Abstract

This study aims to critique the claim of neutrality in qualitative social research methodologies, which have long been considered objective and value-free. Through a feminist epistemological approach, this research demonstrates that the claim of objectivity often conceals masculine dominance and power relations in the construction of scientific knowledge. Using a descriptive qualitative method and a critical discourse analysis approach along with feminist reflection, this study analyzes literature and case studies that represent gender bias in social research design. The findings indicate that conventional methodologies tend to overlook the complexity of women's experiences and other marginalized groups. In response to this, the study proposes alternative, more gender-inclusive qualitative methodologies, such as gender-sensitive interviews, feminist autoethnography, and reflective narrative methods, which allow for more equitable representation in the knowledge production process. Findings reveal gender bias in research that neglects women’s perspectives, alongside three proposed inclusive methodologies to address this imbalance.
