Abstract

There is a phenomenon that accurs in society, namely the use of identical hijabs used by Muslim Women an there are Muslim wpmen, although not so many of them are athletes. This research is motivated by the phenomenon where an athlete using the hijab is still considered to be difficult to get acceptance from his surroundings. In fact, there are still those who think that if an athlete uses the hijab, it is stil considered a layman and it will even make it difficult for them to get achievements. The purpose of this study was to determine the motives and communication experiences obtained by athletes wearing hijab at the Tengkorak Sport Community in Karawang City. This study uses a qualitative method with a Alferd Schutz Phenomenology. The results of the study were various motives obtained, namely because of religious law, the influence of the environment & support, as self-protection, and feeling calm. Positive experience such as support & appreciation, encouragement in oneself, accountability, self-confidence, and example. Negative experiences such as prejudice and intimidation. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effects of pump and dump, sentiment and market rumors on the decision of GIS UINSU investors to invest in the Indonesia capital market. The data collection technique used is by distributing questionnaires. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling. The analytical techniques used in this research are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 25. The results of this study indicate that pump and dump and market rumors have no effect on investment decisions, while sentiment affects the decision to invest in the capital market. Then the results of the F test are obtained which show that pump and dump, sentiment, and market rumors simultaneously influence the decision of UINSU GIS investors to invest in the Indonesia capital market simultaneously. Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis method. The theory used is the Communication Accommodation Theory from Howard Giles, which explains how and why a person adapts his communication behavior to the actions of others. The results of this study are (1) the average value of student communication skills is 65 with a percentage of 41% which is in the "Very High" category. (2) the average score of success in implementing Young Fighters program of the Ministry of Social is 84.6 with a percentage of 34% being in the "High" category. (3) there is a positive and significant influence between student communication skills on the success of implementing Young Fighters program of the Ministry of Social. It is proven from the results of a simple linear regression test showing a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 then Ha is accepted. The correlation coefficient of 0.746 indicates the relationship between variables in the "Strong" category is positive. The magnitude of the influence of student communication skills on the success of implementing Young Fighters program of the Ministry of Social is 55.6%. While the remaining 44.4% is influenced by factors other than those studied. The regression equation Y = 18.225 + 1.026X. The higher the student's communication skills, the higher the success of implementing Young Fighters program of the Ministry of Social. Abstract

This study focuses on the impact of early marriage on the communication patterns of parents and children which aims to investigate the communication patterns between parents and children, and investigate the impact of early marriage on the communication patterns used by parents and children, especially in Bojong Indah Village. The method used in this study is qualitative, by conducting direct observations, face-to-face interviews with informants and online through WhatsApp social media. This study explains that there are 3 communication patterns used by parents who marry early and children in Bojong Indah Village, namely: permissive communication patterns (liberating), authoritarian communication patterns (restricting) and democratic communication patterns (directing). Of the 3 communication patterns that exist between parents who marry early and their children have an impact, such as permissive communication patterns have an impact on children, namely: children feel given freedom, there is no direction from parents to children, children communicate with parents freely without feel wrong, children can do anything freely because parents always allow. The impact of authoritarian communication patterns such as: children become more closed, children are reluctant to express their wishes, children prefer to follow the wishes of their parents forcibly, children become more distant from their own parents. With the exception of democratic communication patterns that have a positive impact on children, because parents always provide direction to children without restraining the child's desires. Abstract

The relatively fast population growth in urban areas causes various problems such as a decrease in the quality of public services, reduced availability of residential land, congestion on highways, difficulty in getting parking spaces, increased crime rates and other social problems. These problems will continue to increase as the population increases and cannot be solved quickly and precisely. Therefore, smart solutions are needed so that solving these problems can be done faster than the growth of the problem itself, one of which is the application of city ecosystem collaboration in the Smart City concept. Bekasi City, is one of the cities that received assistance from the central government to participate in the Movement Towards 100 Smart Cities in Indonesia. The public's understanding of the existence of Bekasi Smart City is not yet known in its entirety, both in the fields of industry, education, services, and others. Therefore, it is necessary to provide counseling and publications to make people aware that this is an important step in overcoming various urban problems. This study aims to find out how the communication carried out by the Chairperson of RW 010, Kaliabang Tengah Village to the community in the process of developing the Bekasi Smart City program. By using qualitative research methods with descriptive types, researchers conducted interviews with informants related to the research. The results of the study indicate that the communication made by the RW leader to its citizens meets the element of openness, which is one of the requirements for an effective interpersonal communicator to be open to the people he invites to interact with, empathy, supportive attitude, support. positive attitude, and equality. Abstract

The phenomenon of hate speech against religions including Islam in Indonesia is a serious problem. One of the ways to spread hate speech against Islam is by using social media such as YouTube. This problem is already regulated in Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE (Information and Electronic Transactions) in Article 28 Paragraphs 1 and 2 and Article 45A Paragraph 2. This study aims to observe the phenomenon of hate speech in general and hate speech against Islam in particular, on YouTube social media in Indonesia during the period January-June 2021. This study is qualitative in nature and based on library research. The study found that the phenomena of hate during the period under study, in general, increased. However, such an increase is not stable. It highly increases during the General Election season in 2019. During the period January-June 2021, the study at least three accounts which directly attacks Islam, namely, Muhammad Kece, Joseph Paul Zhang, and Saifuddin Ibrahim. The nature of hate speech against Islam carried out by those three accounts comes in the form of insulting, harassment, slander, provocation, and hoaxes. Islam prohibits hate speech and stipulates it as a criminal act with the category of ta'zir. The Indonesian government has also taken firm steps to eradicate hate speech on social media. However, this problem has not been resolved properly due to the difficulty of controlling the use of social media. Keywords: Hate Speech; Islam; YouTube

Abstract

Social relations are ties of relationships or behavior between individuals. Social relations are formed differently according to the environmental conditions. The Social Distance Film Series which was produced during the Covid Pandemic makes the depiction of social relations in this film interesting, where this film is made with real-life conditions that are filled with lockdown regulations and also distance restrictions between individuals. In this study, researchers used John Fiske's semiotics research method, and collected data through documentation of scenes in the film and also literature study. Then the data will be analyzed through three levels of John Fiske's semiotics, the Reality Level, the Representation Level, and the Ideology Level. Abstract

Writing is one of the journalistic skills that have a great influence on students so they are expected to disseminate information and even express feelings to the public through written language. Journalistic media for schools is a means of information about schools, education, entertainment, and persuasion. So, with journalism training, someone will be helped in honing creativity and talent. This study aims to observe the development of journalistic insights of students through journalistic training and provide solutions to the problem of lack of journalistic insights by motivating MAN 2 Tangerang students, especially members of the Broadcasting Extracurricular Lensa Manduta to be skilled in the field of writing. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques and observations that researchers use include observation by observing and recording activities carried out by the journalistic division of Lensa Manduta and interviews with the head of the journalistic division and the general chairman of Lensa Manduta. The results of this study are that the journalistic training was opened interactively, the members listened to the material presented, and were quite responsive in practice to the field. In addition, they are quite familiar with the terms in journalism, such as journals, and codes of ethics, as well as a very good understanding of news, it's just that they don't know the whole, such as the types of news consisting of hard news, soft news, and straight news. Abstract

In the current era of openness, the presentation of data and information is very important to convey the widest possible information to the public. Due to the diversity of information needs, limited information resources and changing behavior of information users, no information organization can meet all user needs. To meet user needs and provide optimal service to users, there must be cooperation and networks between information institutions. One of these information institutions is the library, which will be the subject of this article. This article will discuss developments, forms of cooperation, development situations and inhibiting factors of library and information cooperation networks. The data collection method uses library research, both printed and online. The results of this study are to provide data and information on the development of library collaboration networks, as well as information that can be used to provide input to libraries and other information media in collaboration. Abstract

In January 2017, the Medan Regional University Library (UMA) officially implemented an integrated automation system. The system is a migration from the old system that was used previously. Integrated library automation system using SLiMS Acacia version 8.3.1. With the implementation of this integrated automation, users can borrow, return, and expand their loan collection from the Medan University (UMA) branch library. Automated systems can also improve service quality and bring libraries closer to users. This study uses qualitative methods to conduct descriptive research. Descriptive research describes a picture or painting in a systematic, correct, and accurate manner, describing the facts, and the nature of the relationship between the phenomena studied. The technique of collecting data and information about all collections by researchers is in the form of observations by University librarians in the Medan area. The purpose of this research is to communicate to users what library materials the library has, provide bibliographic information, and document the characteristics of each library material, which are needed to identify and distinguish one library material from another. This will certainly help in the search for library collections, and the catalog serves as an important search tool. Keywords: UMA Library, Integrated Library System.
