In Indonesia, screening using the IVA technique is only performed by 6.83% of women aged 30-50 years. The coverage of cervical cancer screening in Indonesia is still below the target of 70% in 2023, which is only 7.02%. This study aims to compare the frequency of visits by women of childbearing age for IVA and sadanis examinations before and after the innovation of the IVA and sadanis examination movement at the mobile Posbindu. The sample for this innovation was 55 through simple random sampling. The results of data analysis using the t-test obtained sig = 0.000, this means it is smaller than α = 0.05. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. There is an increase in visits by women of childbearing age for IVA and sadanis examinations before and after the innovation of the IVA and sadanis examination movement at the mobile Posbindu.

Puberty is a critical phase in a child’s development requiring physical, psychological, and social readiness. Mothers, as primary caregivers, play an important role in accompanying and providing education during this transition. Inaccurate perceptions by mothers may affect the quality of their supportive behavior. This study aims to examine the relationship between mothers’ perception and behavior in preparing children for puberty. This analytic observational study used a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 45 mothers with preadolescent children at MI Sunan Kalijaga Mergan, Malang City, selected by purposive sampling. Perception data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire (1–4), while behavior was measured through narrative observation sheets. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test. Results showed that most respondents had positive (55.6%) and moderate (37.8%) perception categories, and behaviors in moderate (62.2%) and good (31.1%) categories. Statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between perception and behavior (p = 0.002; r = 0.455). The more positive the mother’s perception, the better the supportive behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of improving mothers’ perceptions through appropriate education to enhance supportive behavior during their children’s puberty transition.

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication that can cause maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality if not properly managed. The high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) highlight the importance of early detection through predictive biomarkers that can serve as both preventive and monitoring tools. This study aims to evaluate various recent biomarkers that have the potential to serve as alternative supports for the diagnosis and monitoring of preeclampsia. The method used was a literature review with the application of inclusion and exclusion criteria to obtain relevant articles. The review identified ten articles that met the criteria, reporting several biomarkers that are relatively easy to perform, including hematological parameters (platelets, PLR ratio, hematocrit), serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), urea, creatinine, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, soluble Suppression of Tumorigenicity 2 (sST2), and Placental Growth Factor (PlGF). These biomarkers have shown diagnostic potential, although most still require further research to confirm their validity and sensitivity. The conclusion of this study is that hematological, biochemical, and placental growth factors may serve as alternative supportive examinations to facilitate early detection and monitoring of preeclampsia in the future.

More than 50% of respondents in outpatient clinics at five Community Health Centers (Puskesmas) in the working area of Sampang Regency were not aware of the availability of integrated traditional health services. This study aims to increase public knowledge of integrated traditional health services and to increase the number of visits to these units. The research method used was Research and Development. Subjects were selected using simple random sampling with a total sample of 175 participants. The analysis in this study was designed using the ADDIE model. The results showed an increase in public knowledge and an increase in the number of visits to the service units, reaching an average of 3–29 patients per month at each Puskesmas. To increase viewership and interest in TikTok content, it is recommended that Puskesmas develop more engaging animated video content, rather than relying solely on videos containing e-leaflets.

During the transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life, newborns require support to meet their needs for stimulation and play (ASAH), affection and emotional support (ASIH), as well as physical care, nutrition, and hygiene (ASUH). Mothers, as the closest caregivers, are expected to provide daily newborn care. This study aimed to analyze the effect of health education using animated video media on the behavior of primiparous postpartum mothers in caring for their babies, including bathing, umbilical cord care, and breastfeeding. The study employed a one-group pretest–posttest design with a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The population consisted of 15 primiparous postpartum mothers in June–July 2024, selected through total sampling. Instruments included a demographic questionnaire and a self-assessment checklist on newborn care practices. The intervention was delivered through animated video media accompanied by a brief demonstration by the researcher to clarify parts that mothers did not fully understand. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, which showed a significant difference (p = 0.001). The results demonstrate that animated video education supplemented with a brief demonstration effectively improved maternal newborn care behavior. In conclusion, health education combining animated video and brief demonstration significantly enhances the ability of primiparous postpartum mothers to perform daily newborn care.

Hypertension is a major risk factor contributing to cardiovascular disorders, including left ventricular hypertrophy, making early detection through an ECG crucial for preventing complications. This study aimed to assess the relationship between hypertension duration and LVH/RVH findings and the overall interpretation of the ECG.The method used was a clinical experiment with a quantitative approach involving 67 hypertensive patients with disease duration of ≤5 years and >5 years. ECG data were analyzed to identify changes in patterns related to hypertension duration, and the Pearson correlation test was used to assess the relationship between variables. The sample was predominantly adult to elderly and predominantly female, with a relatively balanced distribution of hypertension duration. The analysis revealed a significant negative association between hypertension duration and LVH/RVH findings (r = –0.255; p = 0.038) and a weak but significant positive association between hypertension duration and overall ECG abnormalities (r = 0.285; p = 0.020). This pattern indicates that although cardiac structural and electrical changes tend to increase with hypertension duration, the limited sensitivity of the ECG results in a non-linear relationship. This study concludes that hypertension duration is associated with ECG changes, although the strength is weak, necessitating additional evaluation for a comprehensive cardiac assessment.

Social changes have led to delayed marriage and pregnancy planning due to higher educational attainment, career demands, and economic considerations. This shift has increased the number of pregnancies among women with Advanced Maternal Age (AMA), which is associated with a higher risk of miscarriage. This study aimed to analyze the risk of miscarriage among pregnant women with Advanced Maternal Age (AMA) at RSUD Kota Malang. This study employed a retrospective case-control design using medical record data. The study population consisted of pregnant women with gestational age <22 weeks during August 2024–July 2025. Purposive sampling was applied to obtain 108 respondents, including 54 cases and 54 controls with a 1:1 ratio. Maternal age was defined as the independent variable, while miscarriage was the dependent variable. Data was analyzed using the chi-square test to determine the association between variables, and odds ratio (OR) with a 95% confidence interval (CI) was calculated. The incidence of miscarriage among women with AMA was 73.7%, compared to 37.1% in women aged 20–34 years. Statistical analysis showed a significant association between AMA and miscarriage (p=0.001). Pregnant women with AMA had a 4.7-fold higher risk of miscarriage (OR=4.738; 95% CI: 1.986–11.307) than those of reproductive age. Advanced Maternal Age significantly increases the risk of miscarriage, indicating the importance of preconception counseling and intensive antenatal monitoring for women of advanced age.

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in Indonesia. One simple and self-administered method of early detection is Breast Self-Examination (SADARI). However, women’s skills in performing SADARI remain relatively low, including among PKK mothers, who play a strategic role in community health education. This low level of skill is caused by lack of information, minimal hands-on practice, and the absence of ongoing training. Health education is one intervention believed to improve these skills. This study aimed to determine the effect of health education on the skills of PKK mothers in performing SADARI in Rampal Celaket Subdistrict, Malang City. The research used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. A total of 35 respondents were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an observation checklist for SADARI skills covering 20 indicators. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed a significant improvement in skills after the health education intervention, with a p-value < 0.05. Before the intervention, most respondents were only able to perform around 6–7 out of 20 SADARI steps, whereas after the intervention, the majority were able to perform all 20 steps correctly and sequentially. It can be concluded that health education significantly improves the skills of PKK mothers in performing SADARI. Therefore, a structured and sustainable health education program should be considered as a promotive strategy to encourage early detection of breast cancer in the community.
