Abstract

Today's impact of technical assistance in improving organizational performance, its people, practices and mechanisms, and the organization itself is far more important than before. The study sought to determine the efficacy of technical assistance in crafting and appraising the E-SIP in the district. The study's participants were the school heads in the district holding different positions. Specifically, the participants were profiled in terms of years of experience, the number of leadership training attended, position, and years in school. The appraisal rating of the E-SIP was utilized, and it was found that there was a significant improvement in the ratings after the TA was provided. Further, paired t-test was used to test the significant difference between the appraisal rating before and after the TA was provided and revealed a significant difference characterized by the p-value of 0.000. It was found that when given appropriately and proactively, technical assistance has a long-term impact on school heads, TA providers, policymakers, and program implementers in improving organizational performance.

Abstract

Investor decision behavior in any pandemic, Covid-19 always goes through rationally. In reality or practically, the investment decisions made by millennials (generation Y) are not always rational. The sole purpose of the topic under study is to investigate a spectrum of millennial (generation Y) investors’ behavioral factors that affect investment decisions during a pandemic. This study adopted secondary sources for data collection. The secondary data is gathered through published research papers in peer-reviewed journals, scholarly journals, magazines, news, and books, as well as published data from the government. The major findings reveal that millennials (generation Y) financially deal with more confusion and disagreements when dealing with various patterns of informed conduct or behavior in contrast to other generations. Also, if taken a step further, the outcomes imply a much more important aspect regarding investors' behavior, financial investments, and economic growth: that they were all affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. It caused anxiety and uncertainty among players in the market. Behavioral factors and heuristics like the overconfidence and attitude effect, and herding factors are considered to have also influenced investors' decisions. Furthermore, the market behavior factors of price change, market information, past trend, customer preference, and underlying stock fundamentals have an impact on individual investor decision behavior.

Abstract

Physics is a difficult subject for the vast majority of Filipino students to learn. It is also a challenge for educators worldwide to create learning media that makes it easier to explain the material especially in learning fields that require a reasonably high level of understanding, such as Physics. The use of high-quality instructional materials facilitates and improves the teaching and learning process. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a supplementary learning resource package in Physics for Grade 10 Science. Descriptive method of research was used in this research. The respondents of the study were the thirty science teachers and fifteen science experts who evaluated the materials based on the set standards. The study showed that the supplementary learning resource package is acceptable for use by teachers and students for independent learning particularly in the new normal education. It is recommended that the supplementary learning resource package be further validated in order to provide more effective instructional materials to both learners and teachers, and that other science teachers be encouraged by their school heads to develop similar learning packages.

Abstract

Co-teaching is becoming prevalent in meeting the needs of students with disabilities in the general education classroom. Co-teachers face more challenges in collaboration, relationships, and defining roles. Collective teacher efficacy is the shared belief that a team of co-teachers can make a positive difference in student achievement and school culture. This quantitative study aims to assess the teachers' self-efficacy and the collective efficacy of the co-teaching team to develop cohesive and working relationships to benefit students in inclusive middle classrooms in a suburban school district in the United States. Bandura’s (1977) social cognitive theory and efficacy as a set of proximal determining factors of teachers’ affect and actions theoretically framed the study. The research questions used focused on understanding the kinds of things that create challenges for teachers. Also, they considered the combination of the current ability, resources, and opportunities for teachers and the co-teaching team. The data from the instruments were collected, categorized, and tabulated for interpretation and analysis. The findings show correlated efficacy factors in student engagement, instructional practices, and classroom management. The results recommended for same planning time, collaboration, and understanding of shared roles of the co-teaching team.

Abstract

The Department of Education implemented gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) to assist the government in reducing malnutrition in the country. DEBESMSCAT-Cawayan Campus assessed the state of gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) of all public schools in Cawayan, Masbate as part of the evaluation technique to establish the suitable and needed extension services to be delivered. The study employed a descriptive research approach and purposive sampling. In the study, a structured survey questionnaire was used to collect data on the status of the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) program in the schools. Data showed that the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) initiative had not yet been adequately implemented for a variety of reasons. Schools utilized bolo to prepare the land, which took several months to complete. Planting supplies and other inputs were unavailable at all times, causing the output to be delayed. The lack of Department of Agriculture assistance for inputs, as well as the lack of training/seminars related to the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) program, are factors that impede the program's implementation and sustainability. Since school heads did not appropriate funding from the MOOE, all coordinators were obliged to pull money from their purses to fund the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) initiative. Due to low vegetable output, the gulayan sa paaralan (school garden) program in Cawayan public schools does not make a substantial contribution to combating school malnutrition. The implementing agency should explore a holistic strategy for GPP implementation in schools, with close collaboration with related agencies, stakeholders, and religious monitoring of the program should be strictly observed. The capacity of the school heads and coordinators to lead is a key element to the program's success.

Abstract

This paper aims to portrait the contemporary situation of Indonesian local game industry regarding the working-class issues and state approach to the development and sustainability. As Indonesian local game industry began a new era after state recognition in 2014, the industrial durability in the national creative sector is often questioned. A case study method is applied to response and diagnose one of the newest creative economic sectors in Indonesia. Interviewing various parties such as two related state ministries, twelve founders of local game studios, ten local game workers, and representative of labor union. The result exposes a liberal approach from the state in nurturing local game industry such as free-market competition, nescience, and quasi-patronage. This particular style of state’s cultural policy to local gaming industry has resulted in precarious situation among local game labors as the state’s instruments in contemporary creative industry.
