Abstract

Penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kesadaran bahwa pentingnya etika berbicara dalam perspektif Islam bagi mahasiswa millenial. Adapun etika berbicara dalam perspektif Islam yaitu 1) Jujur dalam berkata, 2) Melihat wajah atau mata lawan bicara, 3) Berbicara yang baik atau diam, 4) Tidak menggunjing (Ghibah), 5) Tidak memotong pembicaraan, 6) Menunjukan sikap atusias saat berbicara, 7) Berusaha menghindari perdebatan, 8) Menghindari perkataan sarkasme (berkata kasar) dan Perkataan kotor. Pelaksanaan penyuluhan ini dilakukan secara online melalui video conference zoom meeting pada hari Senin, 01 November 2021, pukul 13.00 WIB s/d selesai. Partisipan penyuluhan ini sebanyak 44 partisipan dengan 21 diantaranya sebagai responden. Hasil penyuluhan menunjukan bahwa ada 21 responden yang mengisi angket dari 44 partisipan dengan 95,2% mahasiswa 4,8% umum, penyuluhan ini memberikan kesadaran akan pentingnya etika berbicara dalam perspektif Islam dengan hasil 100% partisipan menjawab ”Ya”, materi yang disampaikan mengenai etika berbicara dalam perspektif Islam ini 95,2% respoden menjadi tahu bagaimana cara berbicara yang baik dan santun dalam pandangan agama Islam, dan sebesar 14,3% responden menyatakan bahwa berbicra dengan santun masih sulit untuk diimplementasikan.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pendampingan Pengolahan Pangan dan Pengemasan Produk bagi Pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) Bidang Pangan di Kecamatan Bua Kabupaten Luwu bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada pelaku UMKM khususnya di bidang pangan terkait pentingnya pengolahan pangan yang baik serta pengemasan produk yang baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan minat konsumen. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 2bulan secara luring dan daring. Kegiatan luring berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan produk yang memenuhi standar Cara Pengolahan Prodak Pangan yang Baik-Industri Rumah Tangga (CPPB-IRT) berdasarkan standar yang ditemtukan oleh Badan Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (BPOM). Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan mengenai cara pengemasan prodak yang baik sehingga dapat meningkatkan minta konsumen yang dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan bagi pelaku UMKM. Adapun kegiatan daring yang direncanakan berupa pendampingan dan pembinanaan kepada para peserta melalui WA Group. Adapun hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah berupa kemasan produk pangan dari pelaku UMKM yang siap dipasarkan, serta jurnal pengabdian yang diteribkan di jurnal nasional serta sertifikat HKI.

Abstract

The key to inspiring pupils to study and communicate in English is to provide engaging educational media and effective learning methods. One of the most intriguing is the use of cinema media as a teaching medium. The film tells an intriguing story in the style of graphic animation and includes auditory sound to captivate students who want to learn English. Furthermore, effective learning strategies can help students understand what they are being taught. One of the learning approaches that can be utilized to urge students to communicate in English is to use dubbing and subtitling. Dubbing is a technique for imitating the voices of actors in films who perform certain parts. Because they appear to be acting out film dialogue scenes depicted by actors, this helps increase pupils' interest in conversing in English. The method of showing film dialogue at the bottom of the screen is known as subtitles. In other words, as a tool for students to absorb the material supplied, teaching media and learning methods are linked and mutually beneficial. Students can be helped to engage in language learning while also being motivated to speak in English using effective and efficient media and approaches.

Abstract

The service team provides solutions based on the results of an analysis of the situation and problems faced by partners to increase opportunities for youth members to be immediately accepted to work after completing their education at vocational high schools. In terms of the solution's form, namely training and mentoring for youth members to practice spoken English using the drilling and repetition method, the results obtained at the end of this service were: (1) positive and enthusiastic response from members of the youth organization; (2) increased awareness of the importance of spoken English proficiency; (3) willingness to take risks in order to participate; (4) increased spoken English vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation; (5) greater access to recorded voices of foreign speakers; and (6) more opportunities to practice speaking English in dynamic and enjoyable (but not monotonous) settings. (7) the availability of foreign speakers' voices in the form of mp3 recordings; (8) in their spare time, members of the youth organization are encouraged to listen to foreign speakers' voices, imitate them, and practice independently; and (9) after the training and mentoring is completed, the future availability of online sites for accessing and downloading learning media files.

Abstract

Pammana is a village in Kabupaten Wajo, Sulawesi Selatan, where the majority of the residents work as farmers. With a low income, parents' capacity to send their children to a higher level of education is always hampered. Based on the aforementioned circumstances, the writer and team are interested in delivering English language training for the youth organization utilizing an audio-visual medium. The goal of this program was to make the training sessions more exciting and accessible to the participants through the use of audiovisual media. This English training exercise has a positive impact on the Pammana village youth group. These favorable effects might be seen as a result of the training. The learning results of the training participants improved after only a few months of following the training procedure using the audio-visual medium. Before attending the training, the trainees thought English was a difficult language to learn; however, after attending the training utilizing audio-visual media, the trainees began to feel more at ease, and they thought learning English through audio-visual media was enjoyable.

Abstract

Academicians or lecturers are responsible for a variety of topics in villages in order to tackle society's difficulties. Anabanua is a village with the distinction of being a developed village in terms of both natural and human resources. Even though society has a poor income, the spirit of society is strong. As a result, a community service team in Anabanua, Kabupaten Wajo, has begun to assist children and teenagers in learning English. Collaborative learning is one of the approaches utilized in this community service activity because it engages and gives learners plenty of opportunities to share and discuss information and solve problems. As a result of using the collaborative learning strategy, learners are expected to be more engaged in learning and cooperating, allowing them to apply their learning and collaboration habits in the workplace. The outcomes of the community service reveal that assistance and empowerment in learning English have a beneficial impact on learners and a positive response from the community. Learners' empowerment has a critical role in boosting their motivation and raising their achievement levels. The community service activity is anticipated to be sustainable and to develop into a partnership between institutions and villages, allowing the institutions to contribute to the shaping of a smart, wise, and prosperous society.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi saat ini sangat dimungkinkan berpengaruh terhadap bidang-bidang kehidupan lainnya, salah satunya dalam bidang pangan. Kemajuan teknologi ini bisa menjadi salah satu solusi ketahanan pangan masyarakat di masa depan, seperti pada kelompok masyarakat budidaya ikan di Kelurahan Larangan Indah. Mereka mencoba mewujudkan ketahanan pangannya dengan memelihara ikan melalui teknik Budikdamber. Selain itu, kemajuan teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memasarkan produk yang dihasilkan yaitu melalui media sosial. Media sosial telah menjadi alat penting bagi bisnis pemasaran. Dengan pemasaran lewat media sosial ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi pada Kelompok Masyarakat Larangan Indah saat ini. Tentunya penerapan teknik budikdamber dan pemasaran melalui media sosial ini membutuhkan serangkaian pemaparan dan pelatihan untuk dapat mempraktekkannya. Kebutuhan akan pemaparan dan pelatihan ini direalisasikan melalui kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa sebagai salah satu Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor rendahnya mutu pendidikan disebabkan oleh proses pembelajaran yang masih sederhana dengan menggunakan media yang tidak bervariatif. Selain itu belum diterapkanya media pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan penyerapan informasi dalam ingatan dengan baik. Salah satu cara untuk menyimpan informasi didalam ingatan diperlukan media pembelajaran yang tepat. Dimana cendrung selama ini proses belajar yang tidakmenggunakan media yang bervariatif, sehingga masih terdapat beberapa guru yang menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap rendahnya kemamupuan siswa untuk mengingat dan memahami materi. Media pembelajaran powerpoint dirasa sangat tepat untuk mengatasi hal tesebut, karena media ini memberikan informasi secara audiovisual sehingga siswa dapat menyerap informasi dengan melihat, mendengar, dan merespon, dengan kemampuan mengingat siswa masing-masing pesan informasi secara visual mudah dipahami oleh siswa, lebih merangsang siswa untuk mengetahui lebih jauh tentang bahan ajar yang sedang disajikan, objek yang ditampilkan terlihat kongkrit (nyata). Penyajian powerpoint yang bervariatif karena terdapat aplikasi gambar, animasi, sound, video sehingga membuat proses belajar tidak menjenuhkan.

Abstract

The Wajo Regency administration is currently concerned about the development of tourism attractions; tourist attractions are being refurbished and renovated in order to attract tourists from within and beyond the Regency, as well as the local government expecting tourists. tourism enhancement program must be complemented by an increase in human resources, particularly in the field of English, because regional advancement continues to increase, as evidenced by improvements in the city of Sengkang in terms of better structuring specific tourist sites. Human resource development can take the form of English classes in addition to building a responsible workforce and developing regional potential (becoming a tourist guide), as well as encouraging adolescents to participate actively in government tourism programs.

Abstract

For the majority of students, English is a dreaded subject. Mastering English necessitates the repetition of patterns used in daily speech, as our pupils are more likely to communicate in regional languages and Indonesian. It is almost always tough for English teachers to urge their students to learn English. As a result of this occurrence, we as English lecturers are committed to giving students with learning options that allow them to enjoy learning English while being focused on the goal. We introduce technology-based English classes and educate this subject to MTs teachers around Wajo Regency, who will later serve as the students' learning relay.
