Abstract

Plastic is an alkene polymer compound with very large molecules. The more people use it, the more waste is released. One way to reduce plastic waste in Indonesia can be done by recycling. In this way, you can minimize HDPE waste that is no longer used.Processing plastic waste in industry can be done by making 3D printing filaments. With 3D printing technology, companies can make a prototype without having to spend raw materials or materials. This research aims to analyze the thermal test results of waste HDPE bottle caps and thermoplastics which are used by utilizing recycled bottle caps as a thermoplastic mixture with different formulation variations. The research method that will be used consists of several stages, namely: 1). Sorting of HDPE plastic bottle caps; 2) Grinding; 3) Extrusion process 4) 3D Printing filament diameter measurement test 5) Test run..

Abstract

The development of information technology has now reached all fields, both in the security sector, education sector, and office sector, as well as other aspects of human life. The need for accurate, precise and fast information in presenting very complete data is one of the important goals, for this smartphone plays an active role in all fields and will make human work easier. One of the assessments of employee performance is absenteeism. Currently there is a Finger Print-based attendance system that is running at the Rejang Lebong District Land Office, but there are still problems with attendance, where employees who are on duty outside the city/field find it difficult to attend because attendance can only be done in the office. Therefore an Online Presence System was created using Geolocation and Digital Signature at the District Land Office. Rejang Lebong as a solution to this problem. This system was created using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The data analysis methods in this research are Descriptive Analysis: Summarizes the general characteristics of attendance data, Digital Signature Usage Analysis: Measuring the extent to which employees adopt and use digital signatures, Geolocation Accuracy Evaluation: Measuring the accuracy of the location provided by the system, Attendance Pattern Analysis: Knowing the pattern employee attendance, Digital Signature Security Test: Ensuring the security and integrity of the digital signature, User Satisfaction Analysis: Evaluating user satisfaction with the system, and Digital Signature and Geolocation Integration Analysis: Assessing the contribution of the integration of these two features to the success of the system. After testing, it can be confirmed that the system that has been created can work well.

Abstract

Forecasting is an important part of every business organization and for every very significant management decision. The purpose of forecasting is to reduce the risk or uncertainty faced by a company in making short-term operational decisions and in planning for long-term growth. The company that is the object of this research is a company operating in the printing sector. Focus on observing receipt products because receipt orders are the highest every month. In the implementation of the production process, there are often shortages of raw materials such as NCR paper or non-carbon required paper so that delivery times are late to reach consumers. The effort used to eliminate/reduce the gap between production and sales is to use a forecasting method which aims to determine product quantity adjustments and when they are needed. Based on data processing using cyclical and linear methods, the method used in calculating the next month's forecast is the Linear method. The linear method has the smallest error values, namely SEE = 1100.57, MAD = 871 and MAPE = 26.34. The total forecast demand for receipt products in November is 4839 pieces

Abstract

Selling physical tickets at tourist destinations is often a problem in the world of tourism. The number of brokers and fake tickets is always the main problem. Physical tickets are very easy to counterfeit and very easy to distribute to irresponsible brokers. As a result, many tourists are deceived and often have to pay twice or even more just because they bought fake tickets. This research analyzes the problems caused by physical tickets and analyzes alternative security printing solutions that can be applied to ticketing systems using descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of this research are that ticketing using security printing will require greater costs and still pose a risk of ticket counterfeiting. Security printing might have benefits if it were given more value, such as embossing for braille letters aimed at blind tourists. However, for greater benefits, digital ticketing will have a smaller risk of counterfeiting and have greater profits.

Abstract

The carbon content in coffee grounds can be utilized as a base material or organic pigment in making ink. Organic pigments are made by refining and reducing the particle size of coffee grounds using a screen mesh, and mortar and pestle. The process of making ink is done by mixing coffee grounds with ink-making materials such as distilled water, gum arabic, and arrowroot flour. The process of making this ink is  carried out with 4 variations of the composition of coffee grounds, which are  15, 20, 25, and 30 grams. The purpose of this study is to  determine the effect of variations in the composition of coffee grounds on the physical properties of the ink, namely viscosity, and on print quality, such as density and L*a*b. The results showed that the addition of coffee grounds pigments affected the density, L*a*b, and viscosity values. The higher the composition of coffee grounds, the higher the density, L*a*b, and ink viscosity values.

Abstract

A 3D Printing machine is a machine that is capable of printing objects in 3 dimensions, made layer by layer by melting/melting a predetermined material. The material used to make specimens is Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament which has good strength and is easily decomposed in the environment. The resulting specimens were subjected to tensile tests with 3 different thickness variations, namely 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm. The results from the tensile test of the 2 mm thickness specimen had the greatest results of up to 43.29 MPa because the layers of the specimen were denser than the 3 mm and 4 mm specimens.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide the public with an understanding of the important role of printing techniques in the past time. The methodology used by author is based on literature studies, The results of this research reveal, books and posters are two secondary communication media that record printing techniques at important times in history of the world, namely when the European continent experienced what is called a rebirth or renaissance, and the starting point for the birth of the Industrial Revolution which has continued to this day. The author found that during the excavation of ancient knowledge, printing techniques contributed to the dissemination of various ancient literature which was redesigned with text arrangements and graphic elements in the form of literacy which was read by the public, studied, and ultimately was able to rebuild a more modern and modern civilization collective. Even during the Industrial Revolution, printing techniques were used on posters to disseminate commercial and informational messages. Thus, the author concludes that printing techniques are important not only in disseminating knowledge and creating art work as the the books and posters, but also as an interesting historical study for the wider public to understandKeywords: Printing techniques, books and posters, renaissance and industrial revolution

Abstract

The development of printing machines has undergone an extraordinary transformation along with advances in technology. One of the biggest advances in printing machine technology is the transition from traditional printing methods to digital printing. The production process becomes faster and more efficient. Today's printing machine technology is equipped with advanced features that improve print quality. Modern machines are equipped with intelligent control systems with operating language and instructions in English, human involvement in the production stage is absolute. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis methods. The comparative study used two countries, Indonesia and Malaysia. As a result, Malaysian students who use English as the medium of instruction have the ability to understand printing machine operating instructions better than Indonesian students. Operating a printing machine has similar abilities to students from two countries. This study underscores the importance of integrating English into engineering curricula, with recommendations for improving Indonesian students' command of English.
