Abstract

Inbate Village is located in the border area between Indonesia and Timor Leste and still experiences limitations in public service accessibility. Administrative services are mostly conducted manually, causing delays, increased workload for village staff, and difficulties for citizens in obtaining information. This community service activity aimed to implement chatbot-based digital services to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and transparency of public services in Inbate Village. The implementation method included needs analysis, chatbot development, training and socialization, implementation, and evaluation stages. The chatbot was integrated into the village website and WhatsApp platform to provide administrative information, document requirements, service schedules, and complaint services. The activity was conducted over eight months, starting from September 2025 until April 2026. The implementation schedule consisted of preparation and needs analysis in September 2025, chatbot development during October–November 2025, training and socialization in December 2025, implementation and monitoring from January to February 2026, and evaluation and refinement during March–April 2026. The results showed that the chatbot successfully improved service effectiveness, reduced queues at the village office, and enhanced digital literacy among village officials and residents. This activity also provides a model for AI-based public service implementation in border areas.

Abstract

The digital transformation in healthcare through telemedicine, electronic medical records, and application-based platforms has significantly improved access and efficiency, yet it also raises critical legal challenges related to patient data protection, professional liability, and legal certainty. Differences in regulatory approaches between Indonesia and Malaysia highlight the need for comparative legal analysis and regulatory harmonization to ensure a safe, ethical, and sustainable digital health ecosystem. This Community Service Program aims to enhance the legal literacy of students at Multimedia University (MMU), Malaysia, while strengthening comparative understanding of digital health law in Indonesia and Malaysia. The program employs an educational capacity-building approach through international seminars, regulatory harmonization workshops, and case-based academic discussions. It also produces academic outputs, including learning modules, teaching materials, scientific publications, video documentation, and intellectual property submissions. The results demonstrate both empirical success and philosophical significance. Empirically, students’ understanding of telemedicine, data protection, and professional responsibility improved significantly, as shown by pre- and post-test evaluations. Philosophically, the program reflects the lag of law, Radbruch’s triad of legal values, and Rawls’ theory of justice by promoting equal access to legal knowledge. It also embodies Roscoe Pound’s concept of law as social engineering and applies legal hermeneutics through contextual interpretation. The comparative approach underscores the urgency of legal harmonization, while the constructivist learning model strengthens critical legal awareness. Furthermore, through the Integrative-Tetradic Realism Theory, the program integrates normative, social, moral, and empirical dimensions, contributing to a dynamic and justice-oriented legal education paradigm in the digital era.

Abstract

The transformation of global tourism has shifted the paradigm from mass tourism to experience tourism, emphasizing meaningful experiences as the core value of travel activities. In this context, culture is no longer viewed merely as a tourism attraction but as a communication medium that creates memorable experiences for visitors. Tenganan Pegringsingan Village in Karangasem Regency, Bali, as one of the oldest Bali Aga communities that preserves its traditional social system, customary law (awig-awig), religious rituals, Mekare-kare (Pandan War) tradition, and Gringsing weaving heritage, possesses significant potential for the development of experiential cultural tourism. However, the growth of the tourism industry has also generated challenges, including cultural commodification, diminishing symbolic meanings of traditions, and the predominance of attraction-oriented tourism management over participatory cultural experiences. This community engagement program aims to reconstruct a cultural tourism model through the Experiential Cultural Communication approach, integrating cultural preservation, experiential communication, and community empowerment. The program employed participatory methods, including participatory observation, focus group discussions (FGDs), cultural storytelling training, cultural interpretation assistance, and capacity-building activities for local communities in managing community-based tourism communication. The findings reveal that Bali Aga culture can function as a medium of experiential communication that generates sensory, emotional, intellectual, relational, and transformational experiences for visitors. This approach not only strengthens the cultural identity of the Tenganan Pegringsingan community but also promotes sustainable tourism centered on local participation. The Experiential Cultural Communication model offers a strategic alternative for preserving cultural authenticity while enhancing educational, participatory, and sustainable tourism experiences. Consequently, this reconstruction seeks to position tourists

Abstract

Many MSMEs have not implemented adequate managerial and accounting practices, especially in management control and inventory management, making them vulnerable to cost waste, stock loss, and disruption of business continuity that threatens long-term business sustainability. A review study on management accounting practices in MSMEs confirms the important role of these practices in improving operational efficiency and managerial decision-making capabilities. The implementation of a simple and scalable Management Control System (SPM) can help MSMEs standardize processes, separate key tasks, and provide information for control and decision-making. SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis provides a simple yet powerful framework to evaluate the internal and external conditions of MSMEs before designing or adjusting SPM and inventory policies. By incorporating SWOT findings into management control design—for example, by leveraging internal strengths to implement simple record-keeping, addressing weaknesses through staff training, exploiting local market opportunities, and anticipating supply chain threats—MSMEs can design more adaptive and sustainable strategies. Through mentoring activities, Sasagu Cafe MSMEs gain an understanding of the importance of implementing a management control system that includes business planning, inventory control, financial management, division of tasks and responsibilities, and evaluation of the business environment through SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis show that this business has a great opportunity to grow if it is able to take advantage of its strengths and overcome various weaknesses that still exist.

Abstract

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has reshaped how the multimedia and education sectors operate. Even so, students in the broadcasting program at SMK Cipta Insan Mandiri Depok continue to struggle with several issues: they understand little about how AI can be applied in multimedia production, they are not yet skilled at building interactive learning content, and they rarely get to train with up-to-date technology. Such gaps may weaken graduates’ competitiveness in a job market that increasingly expects fluency in digital tools and AI-driven creativity. This community service activity was therefore intended to strengthen the abilities of broadcasting students at the school so that they can use AI to create interactive learning multimedia that is creative, fresh, and suited to what the digital industry actually needs. The approach taken was a structured plan delivered through workshops, hands-on practice, and close mentoring, with participants guided toward concrete results in the form of AI-based interactive learning media. The method itself was arranged in a systematic, participatory, and applied way to tackle the core problem, that is, the limited use of AI in producing interactive learning multimedia. Throughout the process, partners were actively involved at every step, from identifying needs to running the training and mentoring and finally evaluating the results. The material covered the basic ideas behind AI, an introduction to an AI tool (NotebookLM), techniques for producing AI-based multimedia, and the development of interactive learning media. Eighteen students took part in the session, which ran on May 19, 2026. Afterward, participants showed a clear improvement in grasping AI concepts and in their practical ability to create AI-based multimedia content. The post-activity questionnaires showed that 95.7% of participants were satisfied with the program, 31.9% strongly agreeing and 63.8% agreeing that the training lived up to their expectations. The program also yielded a relevant AI-based training module built with NotebookLM along with interactive learning products, which supports the longer-term goal of raising education quality in the digital era.

Abstract

Diaspora owned micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a distinctive role in sustaining cultural identity and economic self reliance among migrant communities, yet they frequently operate with limited financial literacy, minimal digital marketing capacity, and constrained cross cultural service skills. This article reports an international community service activity conducted on 9 July 2026 at Warung Jaya Mba Tia, an Indonesian diaspora culinary micro enterprise located near Gukje Market and BIFF Square in Busan, Republic of Korea, as part of the Mobility Program Day of INOBIST – the 3rd International Conference of Business Administration and Communication (ICoBAC). The activity was jointly organized by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA), together with delegations from Tongmyong University, Universitas Sangga Buana YPKP Bandung, Universitas Bina Darma Palembang, and Universitas Cendrawasih. Using a participatory lecture discussion method, the lecturer team delivered three modules: (1) basic financial management and bookkeeping for micro enterprises, (2) digital marketing strategy for diaspora culinary businesses, and (3) cross cultural communication in customer service. Results indicate that the activity strengthened the business owner's understanding of separating personal and business finances, simple daily transaction recording, and cost based pricing, while introducing practical digital visibility tools such as social media branding and digital map platforms. Findings are discussed in relation to the financial literacy, migrant entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and cross cultural service literature. The activity also created reciprocal benefits for the student delegation and reinforced interuniversity collaboration in international community service, illustrating a concrete model of higher education's Tri Dharma contribution to diaspora communities abroad.
