<![CDATA[Introduction. information literacy for all of the community is a condition that is predicted by the Indonesian government to be realized immediately. This achievement will create an informed society. This situation can be realized if the librarian's soul becomes the soul of the community. Therefore, two things that must be prepared are first, increasing interest in reading in the community, and second, carrying out an information literacy program.Methodology. This paper is library research. Writing analysis uses a qualitative descriptive method by capturing the fact. This study uses relevant literature to relate the research theme in formulating the problems that occur and in making final conclusions.Results and discussion. Librarians who are referred to as "guardians of knowledge", have an enlightening spirit compared to other professions. There are two guidelines that can make this enlightening soul, the first is code of ethics, and the second is the activities of the librarian's functional position. These two guidelines provide direction for librarians in carrying out sustainable activities to improve information literacy skills for the community. Many programs have been implemented to develop this information literacy program, by various librarians, but today, informed society has not created the programs yet.Conclusion. So far, this information literacy program has not realized the informed society. Information literacy programs that have been developed must not stop and must be implemented. An informed society will be formed if all levels of society reflect the librarian's spirit in life.]]>

<![CDATA[Background/purpose. This research aims to determine the quality of work-life and comfort of librarians during the Covid-19 pandemic. The intention was to provide input and reports to the leadership by mapping the performance of librarians.Methods. Consequently, thirteen informants were chosen, with the criterion that they were librarians working in the Library of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Diponegoro University. Interviews were used to collect the data, which were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods.Results. Subsequently, the results showed that ten parameters of quality of work-life affect the comfort of librarians working during the Covid-19 pandemic.Conclusions. The convenience of working was revealed as the main goal in improving the library environment. Also, working from home or the office was shown as capable of creating a sense of satisfaction, thereby improving the quality of work-life. This quality, specifically during the pandemic, has become a collection of the perceptions of a sense of comfort at work, with conditions of continued growth and development to improve performance.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on education systems around the world, including Indonesia. The government carried out temporary closure of public services to reduce the number of additional cases. One of the community services affected is the library as a support for education. As a supporter of education, the perceived impact is the non-utilization of services in the library. Efforts made by the library to continue to provide services are by changing the system and management mechanism in the library. This paper aims to find out the innovations and strategies implemented in several PTMA libraries in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.Methodology. This study uses a literature review to collect data and documentation to support the analysis.Result. The result of this paper is that PTMA library librarians must be able to use facilities or technology to serve the academic community.Conclusion. The COVID-19 pandemic has not only hurt society. The other side of the Covid-19 pandemic is being able to develop competence through online seminars. In addition, the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is gradually improving, has forced libraries to reopen services while still implementing health protocols to suppress the rate of transmission.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. During the pandemic, the Library of UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto (UIN SAIZU) run into many service changes. Libraries must think about how to communicate to users regarding the latest collections, announcements of service changes, socialization of library activities, documentation of library activities, and social-cultural activities. This study examines Instagram as a medium of communication to users.Methodology. The research method uses qualitative methods and data collection techniques using interviews and observations.Results and discussion. The results show that libraries have used Instagram to communicate library-related matters by using various features available on Instagram. Libraries also manage accounts by creating exciting content to increase engagement rate.Conclusion. Using social media as a communication medium can be utilized by libraries, both university libraries and other types of libraries. The UIN SAIZU library can disseminate information quickly, efficiently, and interestingly. It has a broad reach. Some features allow getting feedback from the audience in the form of comments, likes, and messages.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The level of public interest reading in West Java, especially in Pangandaran Regency is in the low category, this is due to the lack of facilities that support public interest reading. One of the efforts of West Java local government to increase the public interest reading is by distributing Kotak Literasi Cerdas services or Kolecer to several districts and cities in West Java, including in Pangandaran Regency. This study aims to analyze the effect of library services, namely Kotak Literasi Cerdas or Kolecer on public interest reading in Pangandaran Regency.Methodology. This research is a quantitative study that shows the effect of variable X (Kolecer service) to variable Y (public interest reading). The population in this study amounted to 500 people, with a sample of 50 respondents. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires and observation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and intervention statistical analysis, namely correlational analysis and simple linear regression. Results and discussion. This study indicates that there is a moderate positive effect between Kolecer services and public interest reading, which is 25.2%. In addition, several facilities from Kotak Literasi Cerdas service get an average mean value of 4.28.Conclusion. Reading interest influenced by the accessibility to books and other reading maerials. One of the public services offered is Kotak Literasi Cerdas which has proven to help communities build their reading interest.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Social restrictions due to COVID-19 have made it difficult to obtain research data and literature to support publication activities. Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) provides Remotex facilities or remote repository access, where academics can read and download journals of international repute. This paper aims to analyze whether there is a relationship between RemoteXs access by faculty and the number of publications on Scopus.Methodology. This study uses statistical data on the number of times the repository is accessed by the faculty. a sample of the number of papers was also taken from the Scopus website. Data were analyzed by the Pearson Correlation method.Results and discussion. The results of the study show that the number of lecturers' accesses has no correlation with the number of publications. Meanwhile, the total repository access at the faculty is strongly correlated with the number of publications.Conclusion. There is no relationship to how many times the number of RemoteXs access publications on Scopus. However, there is a relationship with the faculty, this is because of the doctoral program in the faculty that is required for publication.]]>

This article explains how the Bangka Belitung University Library optimizes open access scientific information sources in supporting the learning process at Bangka Belitung University during the Covid-19 pandemic. As is known, during the pandemic, it is impossible to access services face-to-face at the library.Methods. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative research method. The instrument in this study was the researcher himself. This research was conducted at Library of Bangka Belitung University, the data in this study were collected with observation techniques and documentation related to the optimization of open access scientific information sources in support of the learning process at Bangka Belitung University.Results and discussion. Optimizing the use of open access scientific information sources can be done by, firstly making selected information services from open access scientific information sources, secondly providing search assistance services and downloading electronic books and journals, thirdly through socialization through webinars, social media and user education.Conclusions. The many and varied sources of open access scientific information can be optimized for use in supporting the learning process at Bangka Belitung University, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic]]>

<![CDATA[Background. Gallery, Library, Archive, and Museum (GLAM) for biodiversity is a documentation center for research institutions on biodiversity as a means of transferring information and knowledge to the public. The functions of education, research, preservation, information, and recreation can be obtained from GLAM. The goal of this study is to inform the potential and form of GLAM innovation in the Cibinong area so that it can become a National Documentation Center for Biodiversity.Methods. The research method uses the observation method by looking at facts in the field and literature studies to support this research.Results and discussion. This study describes the Cibinong Science Center area has five libraries of various disciplines. Regarding biodiversity, the Cibinong area has a biology library with a collection of more than 10,000 books. In the zoology building, there is an animal biodiversity gallery located under the library building. In addition, the Research Center for Biology has a collection of animal specimens in the zoology building, a collection of herbarium specimens at the Botanical Building and the InaCC Building (Indonesian Culture Collection) to store microorganisms.Conclusions. The concept of developing GLAM for Biodiversity in Cibinong Science Center can be applied. Collaboration with other documentary unit manager such archivist and specimen curators must be carried out in order to create GLAM for Biodiversity. The concept of innovation in the development of GLAM is to integrate it in one building and management.]]>

<![CDATA[Background. The implementation of preservation at The Library and Archives of East Java Province is less than optimal. This study aims to determine the strategies and efforts to develop the preservation of library materials at the Office of the Library and Archives of East Java Province, especially in the preservation of ancient manuscripts that are threatened with damage or loss due to physical damage.Methodology. This research is a descriptive research method with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The selection of informants in this study used the entire population of librarians in the field of preservation.Results and discussion. The results of this study show that the IFAS matrix shows that the strength and weakness factors have a total score of 2.28. Because the total score is above 0.73 it means that it identifies a strong internal position, where this strength has good strengths in terms of product. Furthermore, the EFAS matrix shows that the opportunity factor with a value of 0.68 and the threat has a value of 1.17. The total score between opportunities and threats is 1.85, with this identifying that responded that it was known after using strengths with SO opportunities and strategies.Conclusions. The right development strategy is SO and WO. SO strategies include improving the quality of deposit services, ancient manuscript services, and adding information repackaging services. And the WO strategy includes conducting conservation training for librarians, recruiting expert librarians with preservation qualifications, recruiting philologists, procuring preservation equipment, constructing standard preservation rooms or buildings.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Library repositories are indispensable for academics during a pandemic. This study aims to analyze citation trends during a pandemic.Methodology. This study uses bibliometric methods to analyze metadata of publications on the Web of Science page. The samples collected were around 481 in the range of 2020-2022. Data were analyzed using Biblioshiny in R Studio.Results and discussion. The results found that the most citation trends were in journals with a medical scope. The journals with the most manuscripts are journals with a library scope. Meanwhile, the keywords with the most citations relate to the research methodology. Meanwhile, the number of citations during the pandemic is actually high, and even in journals with a medical scope, it can reach thousands every year.Conclusion. The citations related to repository publications in libraries are not only focused on journals with a library scope, but also focused on journals with non-libraries. ]]>
