Abstract

Proper knowledge and attitudes regarding genital hygiene can help young women maintain overall reproductive health. This is because proper hygiene practices can also protect the genital area from infections and other disorders, as well as promote general health and comfort. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about maintaining genital hygiene with the incidence of fluor albus in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta, Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia. This study is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional approach. This study uses primary data obtained from the research subject interview process. A total of 211 research subjects took part in this study. In conclusion, no relationship between knowledge and attitudes about maintaining genital hygiene and the incidence of vaginal discharge in adolescent girls at SMA Negeri 1 Purwakarta, Purwakarta Regency, Indonesia.

Abstract

The effleurage technique can increase blood circulation to the area being massaged. Increasing blood flow to the uterus and lower abdominal area can help in postpartum recovery and reduce the pain of uterine involution. This study aimed to determine the effect of effleurage massage techniques on reducing the scale of uterine involution pain in postpartum mothers on day 1 in the Cikadu Health Center Working Area, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia. This research is an experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. It uses primary data obtained using an assessment instrument, the numeric rating scale (NRS), to determine the level of back pain in pregnant women. A total of 30 research subjects participated in this study. This study shows that effleurage massage intervention effectively reduces the intensity of uterine involution pain in postpartum mothers. There was a decrease in pain intensity after massage effleurage, and it was stated to be statistically different, p<0.05. In conclusion, there is an effect of the effleurage massage technique on reducing the scale of uterine involution pain in postpartum mothers on day 1 in the Cikadu Health Center Working Area, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia

Abstract

Baby spa is a series of treatments designed specifically for babies, providing gentle massages, immersion in warm water, and other sensory stimulation. This method is believed to help babies relax more, relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation, and reduce colic. Gentle massage and immersion in warm water can help babies feel relaxed. This study aimed to determine the effect of baby spas on the sleep duration of babies aged 3-12 months at independent midwife practice (TPMB) Mrs. S, Karawang Regency, Indonesia. This study is experimental research with a pre-post-test approach with the control group. This study uses primary data, namely measuring the length of sleep of babies aged 3-12 months. A total of 30 research subjects took part in this study. In the intervention group, it was found that most babies slept in the range of 14-16 hours, which is considered the standard duration. Meanwhile, most of the control group had less than 14 hours, which is classified as a short sleep duration. In conclusion, baby spa influences the sleep duration of babies aged 3-12 months at independent midwife practice Mrs. S, Karawang Regency, Indonesia.

Abstract

knowledge about reproductive health and actively participate in family planning. Couples can plan pregnancies according to their wishes, avoid unwanted pregnancies, reduce the risk of reproductive health complications, and create an environment that supports optimal development of children. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family planning knowledge and attitudes of reproductive health couples regarding reproductive health with the husband's participation. This study is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional approach. This study uses primary data obtained from the research subject interview process. A total of 211 research subjects took part in this study. In conclusion, there is no relationship between family planning knowledge and attitudes of couples of childbearing age regarding reproductive health with the husband's participation.

Abstract

Effleurage massage has several potential benefits that may help reduce symptoms of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls, such as increasing blood circulation to the abdominal area, relieving muscle tension, and promoting relaxation. This study aims to determine the effect of effleurage massage on reducing dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls in Sukarama Village, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia. This study is experimental research with a pre and post-test approach. This study uses primary data obtained from direct observation of respondents. A total of 30 research subjects took part in this study. This study shows that massage effleurage intervention reduces pain intensity in dysmenorrhoea sufferers. There was a decrease in pain intensity after effleurage massage, and it was stated to be statistically different, p<0.05. In conclusion, effleurage massage has an effect on reducing dysmenorrhea in young women in Sukarama Village, Cianjur Regency, Indonesia.

Abstract

Adolescents are in a phase of rapid growth and development physically, psychologically, intellectually, socially, and sexually. This gives rise to great curiosity and a tendency to take risks without consideration. This causes various consequences, including sexual transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies. This research aims to explain the effectiveness of reproductive and sexual health education using counselling and small group discussion methods on adolescents' level of knowledge and attitudes. This research is a quasi-experimental study with two treatment groups and one control group. A total of 154 teenagers from 556 respondents were involved using the proportional random sampling method. Each treatment group was treated with different learning methods, namely the lecture and small group discussion methods, totaling 154 respondents. Data was collected using a before and after questionnaire, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney Test with a significance level of p<0.005. The results of the research show that the effectiveness of the lecture method and small group discussion is: 1) knowledge about the small group discussion method and the lecture method have the same significance value p=0.000 (<0.05), 2) attitudes towards the behavior of the counselling method are significantly different compared to small group discussion p=0.000 (<0.05). In conclusion, small group discussion method is better used to increase knowledge and attitudes towards sexual and reproductive health behavior in adolescents.

Abstract

Menopause is a time in a woman's life when menstruation or menstruation stops. Menopause occurs naturally after the age of 45 years. During menopause, a woman will experience various kinds of changes within herself. The changes that arise, both physically and psychologically, such as anxiety, can disrupt a woman's daily life, and this can cause anxiety for women facing menopause. One way to reduce anxiety is to use classical music therapy distraction techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of classical music therapy on anxiety levels in menopausal women in the Pisangan Region, East Ciputat, South Tangerang. The research method uses a pre-experiment method with one pre-and post-test design group. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 22 respondents. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) is used to assess anxiety. The research data were analyzed using statistical tests, namely the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study show an effect of classical music therapy on the anxiety level of menopausal women with a value of (p=0.000).

Abstract

University is one of the educational facilities in order to equip oneself with the knowledge and skills needed to face the future. There are several factors that underlie prospective students in determining the major they want to enter at university. This study aimed to describe the factors for selecting a medical records and health information study program for new students at Universitas Esa Unggul, Jakarta, Indonesia. This research is a descriptive observational study. The inclusion criteria for this research were new students from the Universitas Esa Unggul medical records program class of 2023 who were willing to take part in this research process. The research subjects were carried out using proportional random sampling techniques. A total of 129 students participated in this research. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The study results showed that most of the students were teenagers (58.1%) and women (67.4%) and chose the regular program (76.7%). The highest factors influencing new students' decisions are accreditation (university image) (90.31%) and employment availability (89.73%), while the lowest is the interest factor, namely the dream of becoming a medical recorder (76.16%). In conclusion, the study program image factor (accreditation) is the underlying factor in selecting a medical records and health information study program for new students at Universitas Esa Unggul, Jakarta, Indonesia.

Abstract

Sustainability awareness is students' continuous awareness to protect and respect the environment and life surroundings. Awareness of environmental sustainability is one of the prerequisites for environmental attitudes and behavioral changes in caring for the natural environment in the face of climate change and global warming. Higher education holds the responsibility to form students with environmental awareness and change the attitudes of future generations towards the importance of preserving the natural environment. Sustainability awareness is influenced by critical thinking. Critical thinking is the process of making judgments based on the processes of analysis, interpretation, evaluation, inference, explanation and reflection. This research uses simple regression analysis techniques. The research results prove that critical thinking influence on sustainability awareness.

Abstract

Efforts by the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of Central Java Province aims to improve public services and the operational efficiency of the state civil apparatus. Based on data related to primary and secondary law, legislation and policy, this research uses a qualitative normative juridical approach. This research emphasizes several important points, including improve public service quality and operational efficiency of state civil servants; BKD's efforts to improve services through the placement of employees in accordance with their competencies; implementation of SINAGA to improve personnel administration; and the performance of the Central Java BKD. strategic planning for the future that focuses on the industrial revolution 4.0. This study shows that BKD Central Java is trying to improve service quality by increasing employee competency, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and utilizing information technology by introducing the SINAGA application. However, there are several obstacles and difficulties to overcome, such as a lack of adequate human resources and difficulties related to changing regulations. The Central Java Province BKD must continue to develop innovation and technology for personnel administration, strengthen a fair performance evaluation system, and ensure that employee needs are met. With this improvement, it is hoped that personnel services in this field will continue to improve.
