Abstract

This study aims to analyze the compliance of contracts and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of financing at Baitul Maal wat Tamwil Islam Abdurrab (BMTIA) Pekanbaru with sharia principles. As a sharia-based microfinance institution, BMTIA plays an important role in providing financing that aligns with Islamic values, such as the prohibition of riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), maysir (gambling), and the application of justice principles. This research employs a qualitative approach through the analysis of SOP documents. The results show that most of the financing procedures implemented by BMTIA are in accordance with sharia principles, particularly in terms of contract selection, financing mechanisms, and supervisory systems. However, there are several aspects that still need improvement, such as transparency of information to customers and monitoring of financing implementation. Therefore, this study recommends refining the SOP to ensure better alignment with sharia principles and to enhance public trust. These findings are expected to contribute to the development and supervision of Islamic microfinance institutions in IndonesiaKeywords: SOP, Financing, Sharia Principles, BMT, Usury, Sharia MicrofinanceArticle history:

Abstract

The development of digital Islamic banking in Indonesia has grown rapidly, yet its adoption level remains below market potential. This study aims to examine the influence of trust, perceived risk, and shariah compliance on users’ adoption intention toward digital Islamic banking services. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey of 200 respondents who had used or were familiar with Islamic digital banking applications. Data were analyzed using linear regression with SPSS. The results show that trust and shariah compliance have a significant positive effect on adoption intention, while perceived risk has a significant negative effect. Shariah compliance emerges as the most dominant factor, indicating that adherence to Islamic principles remains a central determinant of users’ decisions in adopting digital financial services. These findings confirm that adoption of digital Islamic banking is shaped not only by technological aspects but also by value-based considerations, security perceptions, and trust in the service provider. Keywords: digital Islamic banking, trust, perceived risk, shariah compliance, adoption intention.

Abstract

Islamic financial literacy plays an important role in encouraging communities, particularly Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), to utilize financial institutions that operate based on Sharia principles. However, the low level of public understanding of Islamic finance remains a challenge for the development of this sector. This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic financial literacy on the utilization of Islamic financial institutions among MSME actors in Kualu Nenas Village, Kampar Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design. The sample consists of 30 MSME actors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS. The findings indicate that Islamic financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on the utilization of Islamic financial institutions, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.639. This suggests that increased understanding of Sharia principles can enhance the optimal use of Islamic financial products and services by MSMEs. The study recommends more extensive and structured Islamic financial literacy education, especially in regions with a predominantly micro-economic base. Keywords: Institusions, Islamic Financial Literacy, Regression, MSMEs
