Abstract

An understanding of environmental literacy needs to be implemented as a form of awareness of caring for the environment, one of which is in terms of flood disaster mitigation. Comics is a learning medium that presents material in the form of illustrated stories to make it more interesting, fun, not boring and easy for students to understand. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of science comics, as well as the readability and responses of students to science comic media. This study uses the ADDIE development model starting from the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The sample used in this study was students of class VII MTs Raudlatul Ulum who were randomly selected. Based on the research that has been done, the results are: 1) Science comic media obtains a material validation score of 84% and media validation obtains a score of 93% with a very valid category. 2) Comic media obtained a readability score of 81.4% in the very good category 3) Student responses to comic media obtained a score of 82% in the very good category. Based on these results it can be seen that science comic media is categorized as very valid so it is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of students’ critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material in therm of self confidence. The study used a mixed type of research (mix method) with an explanatory sequential model conducted on students of SMP Negeri 1 Sumenep with a total population of all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sumenep and a total sample of 16 students for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through test techniques, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research data was obtained from the analysis of students' answers to the critical thinking ability test in terms of self-confidence. Indicators of critical thinking skills used are providing simple explanations, building basic skills, drawing conclusions, providing further explanations and developing strategies and techniques. The results showed that: 1) The critical thinking ability of students with low criteria was 3 students, moderate criteria were 2 students, and high criteria were 11 students. So, it can be concluded that students' critical thinking skills tend to be diverse with the category of critical thinking skills with high criteria being the most dominating ability. 2) Self confidence 9 students have a high level of self confidence, 6 students have a moderate level of self confidence, and 1 student has a low level of self confidence. So, it can be concluded that the students' self-confidence ability is dominated by having very good self-confidence.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the feasibility, student responses and produce products for integrated science module media based on mixed separation ethnoscience themes. This research is a development research that uses the 4D development modelconsisting of(Define, Design, Develop andDisseminate). However, this development only reached the development stage. The data collection technique in this research is using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the integrated IPA module based on ethnoscience of mixed separation themes that was developed is included in the criteria for use, judging from the results of media expert validation of 84.37 %, media expert reliability of 92.72, material expert validation of 89.17 %, material expert reliability as big as 96.19 %. These results get a positive response so that it can be said that the integrated science module based on ethnoscience with mixed separation themes is suitable for use by seventh grade junior high school students.

Abstract

Learning media that is less interesting and does not suit students' conditions is one of the learning problems in the classroom. This research explains the process of developing website-based learning media, the validity of website-based learning media, and the effectiveness of website-based learning media on student learning outcomes. The research was conducted at MI Al Ma'arif 07 Singosari. The research subjects were 20 third-grade students. The product resulting from this research is website-based learning media that focuses on source materials and forms of energy. This research uses the ADDIE research and development model. The percentage score from the validation of learning media is 93.3. Meanwhile, the percentage score from material validation was 90.67. Furthermore, the results of testing the product that has been developed received a percentage score of 85. Thus, website-based learning media is very effective and worthy of being tested on source materials and forms of energy.

Abstract

Waste is a fundamental problem in every region. Starting from the inappropriate construction of waste, it is hoped that the community's role in overcoming this fundamental problem needs to be aware of the importance of separating organic and non-organic waste. So that the solution to the waste problem can be resolved with high awareness by the community itself, one of the efforts, contributions and concern for waste is realized by establishing a waste bank. The purpose of this observation is to find out more about what Rumah PKD Jatimulyo does in managing organic waste after entering Rumah PKD Jatimulyo. The city of Malang knows handling strategies in managing waste starting from the community's own awareness, such as differentiating waste when they want to dispose of it by making several trash cans to differentiate organic waste from non-organic waste. The research method used is qualitative. This qualitative method was chosen because it aims to understand what phenomena occur after the waste enters the Jatimulyo PKD House from an in-depth and contextual point of view. This qualitative method includes descriptive data collection, such as observation, interviews, documentation. The results of the research can be concluded that Rumah PKD Jatimulyo contributes to organic waste management in Jatimulyo Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. Rumah PKD Jatimulyo's contribution in managing organic waste is a form of increasing the surrounding environmental resources. This can be felt by local communities who may need alternative fertilizers to grow plants at home or in community plantations.
