Abstract

Early childhood has a unique character, both physically and mentally, therefore Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher needs to be adapted a set of teaching strategies and teaching methods for early childhood that should be adjusted to the unique characters which are owned by early childhood students. Because that teaching methods that applied by teacher will strongly affect to the success of the teaching and learning process. The use of teaching methods that appropriate to the characters of the childrens will be able to facilitate, not only the optimal development of potentials and abilities of childrens, but also the positive growth of attitude and behavior of childrens. According to al-Ghazali, there are two ways in teaching morals. They are first, mujahadah as the habituation to practice in righteous deeds and second, istiqomah as the act was done in repeated.

Abstract

Character education is the main foundation to increase the human dignity. The good characters are well formed from an early age, which is when the potential of children grow rapidly. In the character building of children, parents and teachers have a very significant role. Therefore, the parents and the teachers should be the good example (uswatun hasanah) in that character building. Character is the values of human behavior that must be build through sustainable development process, including knowing the good, loving the good, desairing the good and acting the good.

Abstract

The responsibility of Islamic education cannot be carried out unilaterally. Ki Hajar Dewantara stated that it requires the cooperation of three components which called as tripusat pendidikan education (center of three in education), they are families, educational institutions, and society. Those three components are one unit and complement each other. This is what happened at MTs Zainur Ridla (Islamic Junior High School Zainur Ridla) and MTs. Bustanul Ulum (Islamic Junior High School Bustanul Ulum), both of them are in Nonggunong District, Sumenep Regency. The findings in this research indicate that student’s guardians in MTs Zainur Ridla and MTs Bustanul Ulum Nonggunong have awareness about the responsibility of Islamic education. Second, all teacher councils in those two Islamic Junior High School stated that educating responsibility was on their control with habituation for their students in the form of reciting Shalawat Nariyah, reciting short surahs before the lesson began, praying before and after the lesson, shaking hands with teacher councils when coming and going home. Third, the participation of the society in realizing the responsibility of Islamic education through the media and the tradition of Kompolan. Fourth, the pattern of cooperation between madrasah (school) and student’s guardians in the form of: Home visits, inviting student’s guardians, forming madrasah supporting body, and report cards. While the pattern of cooperation between madrasah and society is their involvement in PHBI (Commemoration Islamic Feast Day) activities, their involvement in camp activities, their involvement in accepting new students, and their involvement in enforcing the discipline and regulations at madrasah.

Abstract

In Natural Sciences (IPA) there are three aspects of learning, they arenatural sciences as product, process, and strengthening attitudes. This natural sciences learning classification found relevance with Islamic education learning in the aspect of fiqh, theseare fiqh as a product and fiqh as a process. The types of humanistlearning arelearning other than as a product, because this learning is not just transfer of knowledge without rationality, so that the lesson is not able to take part in the real life of humanity. In the implementation, humanist learning can be carried out using several scientific approaches such as problem based learning, discovery learning, social interaction, role playing, team research, and other forms that are oriented to students involvementdirectly.

Abstract

The idea of Islamization was triggered by a dichotomy. This dichotomy is not only extendsin the realm of science, but also extends in domain of religion in the context of state. From the first dichotomy generated the stigma of religious and general knowledge, while from the second dichotomy, it caused a secular attitude. As a result of this dichotomy, most Muslims keep far themselves from general science and government which results in their backwardness in the development of science and technology. On the other hand, Islam itself has the concept of tauhid in its faith. This concept was used as the foundation by Ismail Raji al-Faruqi in carrying out and succeeding the idea of Islamization of science in order to catch up Muslims’ backwardness for centuries

Abstract

This study is a Library Research written based on the results of studies of various library materials, both in the form of books, journals, articles and so on related to schools and communities that are collided with multicultural terms. In line with the method, the data collection techniques used in this study are documentary techniques, in the sense that data is collected through documents as referred to as library material. The data collected in this study is then analyzed using content analysis. The results of the discussion are that multicultural-based schools and communities are formal educational institutions and community environments that uphold and recognize the existence of plurality of identities in the community and willing to accept all forms of diversity

Abstract

Sustainable improvement should be the principle in management, including in the world of education. Within school organizations and other institutions there are two different elements which need to be managed. The first are personnel in the structure of school (structural) and teacher (functional), while the second is facilities and infrastructure in the form of software such as curriculum documents and so on or hardware such as rooms and all of their contents. All needs to be managed properly to achieve the purposes, either institutional purpose or instructional purpose. In carrying out development management, headmaster at school level and teachers at classroom level must go through three stages. They are careful planning, system organizing, and program implementation.

Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) are the oldest educational institutions and the oldest center of Islamic preaching in Indonesia. Its existence is in accordance with the development of Islam in Indonesia, because pesantren are the results of stub of Walisongo in spreading Islam throughout Indonesian’s archipelago. There ismuch uniqueness in it asthe characteristic of pesantren. Simplicity and traditionalism do not hamper the growth of pesantren in globalization. With all limitations, pesantren are able to adapt development of science and education in this country, for example in the use of yellow books and the method of memorizing, students master the exact sciences, because they are also introduced to ‘general’ sciences according to people’s needs and future demands.

Abstract

The social-emotionaldevelopment of children is important to be developed from an early age. The emotionaldevelopment in early childhood, takes place simultaneously with their social development. Even there is claim that their emotional development is influenced by their social development. Itcaused by the emotional reactions displayed by early childhood as a response to the social relationships that they live with other people. The emotional development of early childhood can also affect the sustainability of social relationships. Stimulation is an important thing to give by early childhood educators and parents so they can optimize their social emotion development. With this treatment, they can grow into the life ready person in facing the complex future.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in changingsociety. Thereforewhen there is a deviation, always folowed by criticism in the practice of Islamic education. Deviations are not identical with the concept of education. Conceptually, any education - including Islam - has the concept of benefit. The purpose of education is to spread the benefits to the people. To realize these noble ideals, so there is no destructive material. Reciprocally, the methods used in conveying messages are not bad, even those methods have the function of developing positive attitudes in each student, for example the group discussion method that emphasizes caring for others in achieving the same goals. In Al-Qur’an and Hadits there is the concept of children’s education that needs to be systematically reviewed. This article contains several verses in AlQur’an and Hadits that underlie children’s education, both from the objectives, methods, or educational material.
