nterdisciplinary Social Studies (ISS) is an interdisciplinary publication of social studies and writing which publishes papers to international audiences of social researchers. ISS aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of social studies and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulated knowledge, values, and skills are transmitted from one generation to another; and making methods and contents of evaluation and research in social, available to socialist and research workers. The journal encompasses a variety of topics, including education, management, cultural studies, law, social health, psychology, and geography, to economics belonging to the social context. Abstract

Half of all falls result in injury, of which 10% are seriously impacted. Direct medical expenses resulting from falls amount to nearly $30 billion annually. Nurses must engage cognitive, affective, and actions that put patient safety first. The breadth of the nurse's role can allow for the risk of errors in service. This scoping review is prepared to discuss the effect of nurse workload in screening the risk of falls on patients. The method used here is scoping review which is used to develop a 'map' regarding the effect of nurse workload in screening the current patient's fall risk. The search databases used in this writing include: SINTA, PubMed, EBSCOhost, and SagePub. The search was conducted on October 16, 2023 and the included studies were research taken in 2013-2023. The authors found seven scientific journals that discuss the effect of workload in screening patient fall risk. The four journals came from Indonesia, one journal each from Brazil, Taiwan, and Canada. Workload is consistently associated with suboptimal fall risk screening. This is because nurses will be busy doing other things, so screening and monitoring patients from the risk of falling cannot be done properly.

Abstract

Inpatient satisfaction is influenced by the quality of services provided by the hospital. The quality of service in question consists of Reliability, Assurance, tangibility, Empathy and Responsiveness. The aim of this research is to estimate and analyze the influence of the quality of inpatient services on patient satisfaction in hospitals. This research is a systematic review and metaanalysis research using the PRISMA diagram. Article searches were carried out based on the PICO Model eligibility criteria. P= InPatient; I = Good service quality; C= Poor Service Quality; O= Patient Satisfaction. Electronic literature was searched in 4 databases : Google Scholar, Research Gate, PubMed and Elsevier, for articles published on 2020-2023. With keywords including "service quality" AND "patient satisfaction" AND "Inpatient" AND "hospital" AND "cross sectional". Articles were analyzed using the PRISMA diagram and the Review Manager application. An article with a cross sectional study design that will be used as a source for meta-analysis of the influence of inpatient service quality on patient satisfaction in hospitals. The factors of service quality studied consisted of Reliability (reliability), Assurance (confidence), Tangible (physical appearance), Empathy (attention) and Responsiveness (responsiveness) which were proven to be able to influence patient satisfaction. The most dominant factors are Reliability, Empathy, and Responsiveness where the Sig. value is 0.000. Based on the research presented, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction. All aspects of service quality, namely tangible, reliability, assurance, empathy, and responsiveness, are significantly related to patient satisfaction.

Abstract

This research discusses how the Cilacap Polresta's strategic intelligence in dealing with conditions where there is a Nusakambangan Prison where terrorism convicts are detained. there are prisoners of terrorism convicts and families and organizations affiliated with terrorism in the jurisdiction of the Cilacap Polresta. Based on the background, there are 2 main problems that underlie this title namely 1) What is the pattern of the spread of radicalism in Cilacap? 2) What is the Cilacap Police intelligence strategy in preventing radicalism? The theory that underlies the research is the theory of strategic intelligence and national resilience. Strategic intelligence in law enforcement agencies, is carried out as planning without considering and studying the crime problems faced by the agency and without adequate operational input, while national resilience is a dynamic aspect of a nation that includes all aspects of national life to remain victorious in the midst of regularity and change that always exists. The research method design used to analyze this research is descriptive qualitative, the data collection techniques used are interviews and literature studies. Then where the data collected is then analyzed with theories related to strategic intelligence and national resilience. The results of this study are expected to be one source of information about the pattern of the spread of radicalism, as well as understanding the mechanism of intelligence strategy in preventing radicalism in society.

Abstract

This study focuses on the complex dynamics of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and its relationship with Indonesia. Looking back over 30 years reveals the dual role of RCEP member countries as FDI sources and beneficiaries. The study identifies various factors that compel RCEP countries to invest abroad, including profitability institutional and strategic incentives. This study examines Indonesia's attractiveness as a foreign direct investment destination, considering the country's significant needs, natural resources, strategic location, and improved ease of doing business and analyzing the transformative impact of the RCEP agreement's implementation on reducing trade barriers. The study foresees positive trends in FDI dynamics in Indonesia, which it attributes to the continued profitable growth and indigenous integration of RCEP countries. The focus is on the policy framework within the RCEP and the critical role of bilateral agreements, highlighting the importance of structural development in Indonesia. Challenges remain, especially in remote areas, and bureaucracy and policy capacity improvements are needed. This study provides comprehensive insights into the interconnected dynamics of foreign direct investment between RCEP member countries and Indonesia. This highlights the need to improve the investment environment, develop infrastructure and ensure policy coherence for Indonesia to realize its full potential for foreign direct investment under RCEP. These results have important implications for science, policymakers, and international economic actors.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse language use in Village Parks Depok City, West Java. The problem raised is the issue of language signs and cultural symbols in Village Parks area of Depok City. This research used a qualitative approach. Data was collected using the observation method through photography techniques. Photos from the photo shoot function as image data. Photos are classified into three taxonomies of sings from Polsky and Cooper (1991), namely information signs, warnings and prohibitions, and warning signs. Data were analysed using a landscape linguistic approach. From the data analysis, the conclusion is obtained: the park is open to the public from 06.00 to 17.00 WIB, the park provided a children’s playground, outdoor gym, and park benches. The language displayed in the park area is in the form of writing, pictures, and writing accompanied by pictures. Writing words, phrases, and sentences complies with Indonesia language rules; the Depok City Government conveyed messages to viators in the form of warnings and prohibitions. Landscape linguistics in Village Parks Depok City tends to use monolingual Indonesian.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control and online shopping consumptive behavior in students of the Faculty of Economics and Social Affairs at Jenderal Achmad Yani University Yogyakarta. The method used in this study is quantitative. The data collection method used is questionnaires or scales compiled by researchers, consisting of consumptive behavior and self-control scales. This research was conducted on 132 Faculty of Economics and Social Affairs students at Jenderal Achmad Yani University. The sample criteria in this study are aged 18-21 years where respondents are active students of the Class of 2020 of the Faculty of Economics and Social Affairs at Jenderal Achmad Yani University Yogyakarta and actively use online shopping platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Bukalapak, Tokopedia, and others. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and the data analysis technique used is the Pearson Product Moment analysis technique.

Abstract

In order to increase the productivity of the sugar business performance as well as assist the Government in realizing national sugar self-sufficiency, PT. XYZ restructured the sugar business. The business restructuring will certainly bring about significant changes in each business area, including organizational changes. The condition of business restructuring requires employees to be adaptive, resilient and proactive or in other words have good workforce agility. In addition, employees' organizational commitment and employees' job involvement in business restructuring conditions are a key variable for the business restructuring process to be successful. For this reason, this study aims to determine the effect of these two variables on employee work agility. The method used is a survey method by distributing three scales (OCQ, JIS, and WAS) online to research participants who are Management Employees of PT. XYZ working in Sugar Commodity. The analysis used in this research is a quantitative method using simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that first, there is a significant and positive effect of organizational commitment on workforce agility as evidenced by the t-value of 8.818 and a significance of 0.000. Second, job involvement also has a significant and positive effect on workforce agility as evidenced by the t-value of 10.399 and a significance of 0.000. Third, from the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it can be concluded that organizational commitment and job involvement have the influence on workforce agility of 29.1% and 36.4%, respectively.
