Abstract

Household organic solid waste is a type of waste that comes from leftover food, vegetables, fruit, dry leaves and other organic materials resulting from daily activities. Household organic waste can cause environmental problems if not managed properly. Eco-enzymes are a mixture of enzymes made from organic materials such as food waste, fruits, vegetables and water. Eco-enzymes can be used as household cleaners, organic fertilizers, or even as medicines. Therefore, this service activity aims to introduce the processing of domestic organic waste into eco-enzymes. The method used is an experiment in making eco-enzymes as well as a scientific approach to what mothers need to solve household waste problems. Eco-enzymes use the principle of a fermentation process over a period of 3-6 months. The service was carried out in the women's yasinan group consisting of around 47 members in Karya Maju District. Based on a preliminary survey, it was discovered that the domestic organic solid waste there had never been processed and was simply thrown away. For this reason, the service team provides counseling and workshops regarding the management of organic solid waste into multi-purpose eco-enzymes. Apart from that, the team also provided equipment to make eco-enzymes. Based on survey results before and after socialization, there was an increase in residents' knowledge and desire to process organic waste into eco-enzymes

Abstract

Berdasarkan data Bandar Udara Internasional Sulthan Thaha, tercatat jumlah penumpang terus mengalami peningkatan dari tahun ke tahun. Sebagai salah satu bandara utama di Provinsi Jambi, Sulthan Thaha memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung mobilitas penumpang dan perekonomian wilayah sekitarnya. Kapasitas terminal penumpang saat ini mampu melayani hingga 1,6 juta penumpang per tahun. Namun, dengan tren pertumbuhan penumpang yang terus meningkat, diprediksi dalam jangka waktu 10 tahun mendatang kapasitas terminal akan mengalami kepadatan (masalah kekurangan kapasitas). Untuk itu diperlukan analisa prediksi jumlah penumpang hingga tahun 2032. Metode prediksi tren serial-waktu digunakan berdasarkan data historis penumpang dari tahun 2013 hingga 2022. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan 3 model teknik serial-waktu, yaitu: 1) tren linier, 2) tren eksponensial, 3) tren polimnomial. Hasil prediksi menunjukkan bahwa pada akhir tahun 2028 jumlah penumpang diperkirakan akan mencapai antara 2,1 hingga 2,5 juta penumpang, dan pada tahun 2032 akan meningkat menjadi 2,7 hingga 3,2 juta penumpang. Dengan tingkat kesalahan prediksi (MAPE) antara 2,3 hingga 8,5 persen. Disimpulkan bahwa dalam waktu 10 tahun mendatang, kapasitas terminal Sulthan Thaha perlu ditingkatkan untuk mengantisipasi kelebihan kapasitas hingga 50 persen.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sampah yang efektif di perguruan tinggi sangat penting untuk memastikan kelestarian lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi timbulan dan komposisi sampah, menilai pengetahuan dan praktik pengelolaan sampah oleh mahasiswa, dan mengusulkan fasilitas pengolahan sampah 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) yang terintegrasi di STTIND Padang. Sebuah survei diberikan kepada 100 mahasiswa yang terdaftar di empat program studi yang berbeda, disertai dengan pengukuran sampah selama delapan hari. Temuan menunjukkan rata-rata timbulan sampah harian sebesar 0,0145 kilogram per orang, atau 0,00015 liter per orang. Komposisi sampah ini terdiri dari 47% sampah organik, 24% kertas, 14% plastik, dan 13% botol. Para siswa menunjukkan pengetahuan yang cukup (skor rata-rata: 3,01-3,25 pada skala 4,0), terutama yang berkaitan dengan pentingnya pengelolaan sampah dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan. Namun, praktik mereka, khususnya pemilahan sampah dan penerapan 3R, ternyata masih kurang optimal (nilai rata-rata: 2,58-2,81). Ketidaksesuaian ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya peraturan dan infrastruktur yang tidak memadai. Fasilitas pengolahan sampah seluas 109,25 meter persegi, menggunakan desain berbasis 3R, diusulkan untuk mengubah sampah organik menjadi kompos dan mengolah sampah anorganik untuk dijual.

Abstract

Meuraxa District is highly vulnerable to tsunamis. Although designated as a disaster-prone area, it is also designated as a tourism destination in Banda Aceh City. Furthermore, Meuraxa District has been designated as a coastal green open space (RTH) as a protective belt or buffer zone that absorbs the energy of tsunami waves from the coast. Green Open Space (RTH) plays a crucial role in urban life and the environment, including its economic function. This study aims to examine the patterns of economic and recreational activities within the RTH, which serves as a buffer zone in Meuraxa District, and the impacts of these activities. Observations indicate that economic and recreational activities can coexist, with each activity operating without interfering with the other.
