Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic situation causes many people to be confined at home and triggers people to tend to spend more time accessing social media. Social media basically shows activities carried out by other people and this can trigger the phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO). The purpose of this study is to know the level of knowledge of the Indonesian society about the FoMO and how to overcome it in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study is a type of descriptive survey study; it describes the level of society knowledge about FoMO through webinars during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample is 779 people who have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was obtained through a google form which was distributed to webinar participants, then processed and described in the form of a distribution table of respondents along with the average post-test results on a scale of 7 and 100 for the age group. The collected data were 779 respondents from different age groups (12-55 years). All existing age groups can answer more than half of the questions correctly. The average of questions answered correctly was almost the same in all age groups, with the 41–45-year-old group being in the top position. The average post-test result from all age ranges was 69.57. The average level of society knowledge about the FoMO phenomenon and how to solve it through webinar in the COVID-19 pandemic which was known from the post-test scores did not show much different results between each age range. This shows that all age ranges have the same susceptibility to experiencing FoMO.

Abstract

Background: one of the effects or impacts arising from the implementation of health service activities is the emergence of medical waste. Medical waste generated can be at high risk of causing negative side effects for health if not handled properly. In Indonesia itself, it has implemented regulations related to medical waste management in health facilities listed in the region-based medical waste management program. Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the target areas in this program, however, there are still some shortcomings in the implementation of medical waste management and disposal so it still poses a high health risk. Method: The method used is qualitative, with the collection of literature sources that meet the criteria for analysis. Objective: To determine developments in the management and disposal of medical waste on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. Results: From the results of 3 literature reviews, it is shown that not one hundred percent of the management and disposal of medical waste in health facilities on the island of Lombok has been carried out in accordance with government recommendations. Regarding the separation of medical and non-medical waste, sharps waste and general waste are still not appropriate. Disposal of medical waste is not in accordance with the specified quality standard threshold. Conclusion: Medical waste management at Lombok Island Health Facilities needs to get further attention related to sorting to proper management and disposal.

Abstract

Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a life-threatening condition characterized by poor oxygenation and non-compliant or "stiff" lungs. The disorder is related with capillary endothelial harm and diffuse alveolar harm. Once ARDS develops, patients ordinarily have changing degrees of aspiratory artery vasoconstriction and may along these lines create pulmonary hypertension. ARDS carries a tall mortality, and few viable restorative modalities exist to enhance this dangerous condition. This movement audits the clinical introduction, assessment, and administration of intense respiratory trouble disorder and highlights the significance of facilitated interprofessional cooperation in caring for patients with this condition. Objective: To know more about acute respiratory distress syndrome. Knowing the characteristics of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Know how to treat patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Design and Method: Literature-review Conclusion: ARDS proceeds to be associated with a high mortality. In spite of multiple randomized controlled trials, as it were lung defensive ventilation strategies, neuromuscular blocking operators, and inclined ventilation have been appeared to diminish mortality. Numerous trials are underway looking at nebulized heparin, aspirin, stem cell therapy, growth factors, interferon-?, and vascular endothelial growth figure. The unused Berlin definition of ARDS may help future trials of novel treatments by making strides diagnostic reliability and allowing more exact stratification of patients according to severity.
