Abstract

Currently, there is a significant demand from Gen Z for specialized learning from social media influencers, especially in the field of investment. These investment classes indirectly form communities within them. Besides the existence of communities, Gen Z individuals must also instil the concept of a love for money within themselves. Due to their young age, Gen Z individuals find it challenging to set aside their money. However, a substantial amount of capital is not necessary for investment purposes, especially in the capital market. This research aims to determine how investment communities, the love of money, and financial literacy influence on the investment interest in the Capital Market of Gen Z in West Kalimantan. The addition of the minimum investment capital variable as a mediating variable is to understand its influence on the three independent variables. The research used the Likert Scale to assess perceptions, views, and attitudes through questionnaires. The results from 209 respondents indicate that investment communities and demographic factors positively and significantly influence investment interest. The love of money variable shows non-significant results on investment interest. The mediating variable of minimum investment capital indicates that it does not directly affect the three independent variables.

Abstract

Human development, which is an integral part of a country's financial cycle, would not be ideal without being supported by a high quality of life. Research on personal satisfaction has evolved long before the World Health Organization proposed the concept. This study aims to examine the comparative picture of post-COVID-19 frugal lifestyles on the inclusive economic development index in Bekasi and Karawang, two of the largest industrial cities in Indonesia. One of the methods used in this article is an illustrative quantitative methodology (Subagyo, 2017). According to the research findings, the inclusive economic development index (IPE) in Karawang and Bekasi has been increasing year by year. In 2023, the IPE in Karawang reached 69.2, while the IPE in Bekasi reached 69.9.

Abstract

This study uses the SmartPLS method to analyze the effect of taxpayer moral strength, tax authority strength, and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance at the Bengkulu Primary Tax Office. Respondents as many as 109 taxpayers were the subject of the study. The results showed that the moral strength of taxpayers and the strength of the tax authority have a significant positive effect on taxpayer compliance. This means that the stronger the morale of taxpayers and tax authorities, the higher the level of taxpayer compliance in the region. However, interesting results emerged in the tax sanction independence variable, which turned out to have a significant negative effect on taxpayer compliance. This finding indicates that the more independent the tax sanctions, the lower the level of taxpayer compliance. The results of this study are expected to make a significant contribution to the understanding of the factors that influence taxpayer compliance

Abstract

The impact of handling the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically increased the realization of the 2020 state budget deficit to 6.13%, which exceeds the normal limit. This has caused a slowdown in the Indonesian economy.  The government needs to mitigate risks through fiscal consolidation policies. Therefore, this research aims to find a fiscal consolidation policy that significantly impacts the acceleration of national economic growth. The analytical method employs multiple linear regression,  and observation period between 1997 and 2021. The variables that used in this research are  the changes in GDP for the current year (d_pdbt), the changes in Government Expenditure for the current year (d_goext), the changes in tax revenue for the current year (d_taxt), the changes in Trade Balance for the current year (d_tbt), Unemployment changes for the current year (d_umt), government expenditure in the current year (goext), Tax Revenue in the current year (taxi), and the difference in changes in tax revenue in the current year minus government expenditure in the current year (d_taxt - d_goext). Data analysis results show that two variables have a significantly positive impact on the current year's GDP changes, namely (i) d_taxt, and (ii) goext. Meanwhile, three variables exhibit significantly negative impacts: (i) d_goext, (ii) d_umt, and (iii) d_tax_d_goex)t. Additionally, two variables show insignificant impacts on economic change, namely: (i) d_tbt, and (ii) taxt..

Abstract

The realization of expenditure related to the revenue-sharing fund for tobacco excise (DBH-CHT) has not been maximized. This study examines the strategic planning and effective distribution of cigarette tax revenue, emphasizing the importance of reducing the adverse health impacts of cigarette consumption. This study highlights the relationship between health funding allocations and improved health services funded by DBH-CHT and local cigarette taxes, with the aim of improving the quality standards of health services in specific areas of need. Increased allocation of health personnel, improved health infrastructure and facilities, and improved standards of health services were identified as key elements to achieve this improvement. Using a qualitative approach through focus group discussions, with the assistance of NVIVO 14 software, this study advocates a comprehensive strategy of firstly, optimizing resource allocation for health services, by incorporating information technology through the ASPAK health application, improved human resources and institutional capacity. Secondly, the comprehensive improvement of health facilities was recognized, focusing on the critical role of medical infrastructure and equipment, effective management, and standardization to optimize health service delivery. In addition, the study underscores the importance of budget harmonization, resource optimization, and capacity building of health workers to improve health service delivery. In addition, this study also proposes the utilization of the Tobacco Excise Revenue Sharing Fund for health infrastructure improvement and medical equipment procurement. The results emphasize the need for a careful approach in allocating aid, taking into account financial dynamics and differences in financing mechanisms between public and private health facilities. Furthermore, the findings emphasize the importance of careful planning, standardization, and collaborative efforts to ensure accessibility and sustainability of health infrastructure, especially in geographically isolated areas or areas with limited access to health facilities
