Abstract

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a disease that can be transmitted to humans through the bite of Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus mosquitoes. Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is still one of the most common diseases in PB Selayang II Health Center, Medan Selayang District, Medan City, in addition to upper respiratory tract infections (ARI) (Widiastuti, 2008). The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of health education (counseling method) on dengue prevention on the knowledge of the elderly in the working area of the Pb Selayang II Medan Health Center in 2023. This type of research is a type of Quasi-Experimental research with a Pre-Experimental research design, with the research design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population used in this study was all elderly at Puskesmas Pb Selayang II Medan with a sampling technique using a total of 56 people. Based on the results of the study, it shows that providing counseling on dengue prevention on the knowledge of the elderly in the working area of the PB health center in 2023 can increase knowledge by 8.50, from 9.46 during the pre-test to 17.96 during the post-test. The results of the T test obtained a P-Value value of 0.000 (<0,05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge before and after counseling. These results show that counseling methods can increase the knowledge of the elderly about DHF prevention. The hope is that health counseling activities like this can be carried out in a sustainable manner, in order to increase knowledge and the public about health.

Abstract

Stigma is a negative label that is a sign for someone given by someone else or yourself. Stigma is influenced by the environment and becomes a barrier for that person to get attention, opportunities and social interaction and becomes one of the inhibiting factors in improving the quality of life of PLHIV. The purpose of this research is to find out the life story, stigma and its impact, and the factors that influence acceptance of stigma. This type of research is qualitative research and data collection uses the interview method. The informants in this study were divided into 2, namely 4 key informants and 4 respondents as triangulation informants. The results of this study indicate that there is a life story effect with the causes of key informants being exposed to HIV. Stigma obtained by key informants can be categorized into several levels of stigma, namely self-stigma, family/community stigma and also institutional stigma. Furthermore, there are 2 factors that affect the acceptance of stigma for PLHIV, namely external factors and also internal factors. Based on this, it is suggested to the family that it can be a place where children can get education and love. People also need to understand more about HIV so that stigmatization can be reduced. Medical personnel must also improve services for people living with HIV so that they can also get proper services, and the local government must be able to assist HIV-related programs so that they can run smoothly.

Abstract

ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) is a common disease in the community, especially infants and children caused by rhinoviruses, RSV, adenovirus, influenza virus or parainfluenza virus. Most people do not know what are the symptoms arising from ARI suffered by children. Pediatricians have data on the symptoms caused by ARI, with which the data can identify the child's disease. However, the public must go to the doctor first to find out what ARI diseases are suffered by children based on the symptoms felt. Checking the symptoms of ARI disease is diagnosed directly by the medical party, namely the doctor by recording and analyzing manually. With conditions like this, of course, there are many obstacles that do not even rule out the possibility of different diagnoses of diseases experienced by patients. The expert system that will be built is intended to make it easier for someone to diagnose ARI disease by adopting human knowledge into the computer system so that the expert system is able to solve existing problems. This study aims to diagnose ARI in children using the certainty factor method based on the symptoms felt and find a solution or obtain confidence in the percentage of the disease suffered. The expert system is created by utilizing PHP and MySQL programming languages as databases. Data collection was carried out starting in August 2022, followed by data processing and analysis. The sample in this study was patients with ARI disease in children at RSU Imelda Pekerja Indonesia Medan. The sampling technique in this study is purpose sampling. Statistical analysis used one sample T-test. The targeted output is scientific publication in nationally accredited journals. TKT research proposed is as a technological research or experiment from existing theories in diagnosing ARI disease in children based on websites.

Abstract

Indonesia, known for its remarkable cultural diversity, encompasses many ethnic groups, each preserving its distinct cultural heritage. Among Indonesia's cultural treasures is the ancient art of traditional mask-making, referred to as "topeng." Bali, in particular, stands out as a hub for topeng artistry, with roots tracing back to prehistoric eras, serving as a profound representation of Bali's rich cultural values. Bali showcases a broad spectrum of traditional dances incorporating masks as props. The use of shows in these performances often piques the curiosity of residents and tourists, prompting questions about the symbolism and cultural context surrounding their use. People recognize the physical appearance of masks but need to gain knowledge of their names and deeper cultural meanings. The inherent similarities among mask forms further confound both locals and foreign visitors in distinguishing between various types of Balinese masks. This research endeavors to tackle this issue by developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system that is integrated into a mobile application using the CNN (VGG-16) method. The primary objective is to introduce and promote the captivating Balinese mask culture and artistry, bolstering cultural tourism through cutting-edge mobile technology. The anticipated outcomes include a nationally accredited journal publication, a user-friendly mobile application, and the acquisition of intellectual property rights. This research constitutes a transition from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 2 to TRL 3, wherein the AI framework will be rigorously validated, incorporating accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score assessments, all seamlessly integrated within the mobile system.

Abstract

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Politeknik Pariwisata Bali as a State University implements E-Government through the implementation of electronic administration in the E-Office application. E-Office facilitates the issuance of assignment letters, the reporting of tasks, the application for leave, and the recording of daily performance through E-Logbook. Despite the fact that E-Office has been adopted since 2020, it is known that user resistance to the system persists. In this study, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model is employed to characterize the factors that influence the acceptance and utilization of E-Office at the Politeknik Pariwisata Bali. In this analysis, the employment status variable was added to the UTAUT model. It is anticipated that the uniqueness of employment status contributed to the development of the UTAUT model will be a novel aspect of this research, allowing it to make a significant scientific contribution, particularly to the study of the UTAUT model. The five stages of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), namely model specification, model identification, model estimation, model testing, and model modification, will be applied to model development. A total of 158 respondents with ASN and PTT employment status at Politeknik Pariwisata Bali have completed the questionnaire to capture data. The results indicate, based on the t-statistic value, that performance expectations (PE), effort expectations (EE), social factors (SI), and facility conditions (FC) have a significant impact on system utilization behavior (UB). While employment status has a positive but insignificant effect on user desire (BI), this effect is insignificant.

Abstract

The beauty business has become a huge industry that effects the daily life of many people. Every company competens to provide quality products, satisfactory service, maintain the expected brand imagein order to retain its customers. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, service quality and promotion on customer loyalty through brand image. The research sample was 269 respondents who were clients who had done treatment at least 2 times with consultation (with best-selling products/drugs) or only buying best-selling products without consulting. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis which is processed using software SmartPLS 3.4.3. The results of the study prove that product quality, service quality and promotion have an effect on brand image. Likewise, product quality and service quality have an effect on customer loyalty, but promotions have no effect on customer loyalty. Brand imageitself influences customer loyalty. Then brand imagesucceeds in mediating the effect of product quality on customer loyalty and the effect of service quality on customer loyalty and can also mediate the effect of promotion on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Traffic density can be controlled by obtaining and managing vehicle volume data on the road. In general, the process of acquiring data on the volume of vehicles passing on the highway is still carried out manually, namely by assigning several people to the field and counting each vehicle that passes, then dividing it by a certain time period. In manual calculations there are still many weaknesses such as data collection taking a long time, and the large amount of human resources required. Based on these conditions, an accurate automatic vehicle counting and detection system is needed as a traffic control monitor and traffic analyzer.Currently, a vehicle detection system has been developed using sensors, Radio Frequency Identifiers or other hardware which is integrated by software on a microcontroller and works automatically to detect speed and count the number of vehicles passing on the highway. The weakness of this detector is that it can only detect a narrow range, the system design and operations are complicated, and the operational costs are large. Based on these several things, this research was developed with a focus on designing a vehicle detection and counting system using the Kalman Filter and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) methods. This research intends to design and create a program that is able to identify the type of vehicle in a video input and calculate the number of vehicles detected based on their type. Users simply enter traffic recording videos into the Car Detection program. Later, the program will process the input video and produce a .txt file as output. This file contains the types of vehicles detected along with the number of vehicles detected based on their type. Using the Kalman Filter and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) methods, the most accurate results were obtained in the morning (lighting 10,000-25,000 lux) with an F1 Score of 0.91111, while the least accurate vehicle counts occurred in the evening (lighting 0.27 -1.0 lux) with an F1 Score of 0.16071

Abstract

The LPG gas stove explosion was the result of an LPG gas leak and an increase in the temperature of the gas stove frame. In this research, an early warning system is needed regarding the dangers of using LPG gas stoves. this paper discuseed about a gas stove safety device designed based on the Atmega 8 microcontroller through gas flow. The use of several sensors such as a gas sensor to detect LPG gas content with a concentration range of 200 – 10,000 mg/L, and a Selenoid Valve which functions as a gas flow breaker to the stove. Also a buzzer as a warning tool when a leak occurs. Apart from that, a timer with a maximum working process of 15 minutes will automatically turn off the stove when the desired time is reached. The entire system can work automatically or manually depending on your needs. After testing it turned out to be true when a gas leak occurred, the system can turn off the stove automatically. Likewise, it shows that if the gas leak detection distance is farther, the system response time will slow down.

Abstract

Work stress in nurses, such as burnout, anxiety, and depression, can interfere with the performance of nurses due to reduced physical and cognitive abilities due to mental health disorders. The research objective was to determine the factors that influence the work stress of nurses at Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga, Samosir Regency, 2023. The research design used a cross-sectional study. The research population is all nurses who work in RSUD, Dr. Hadrianus Sinaga, Samosir Regency, consisting of 144 people, with the total sample being the total population. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The results showed that the individual factors, namely age, gender, education level, status, and length of work, did not show a significant relationship (p> 0.05). The work factors, which include workload and work conflict, also did not show a significant relationship (p> 0.05). Likewise, the supporting factors did not show a significant relationship (p> 0.05). Although it did not show a significant relationship, the proportion of work stress was higher for nurses who received less support from the hospital than nurses who received good support. For this reason, the hospital continues to support nurses, including certificates of appreciation or incentives/medical services according to the hospital's capabilities.
