Abstract

Programs (EDP) which main purpose is to accelerate learning process for fresh graduate new employees in the first five years of their career. Based on the survey result and the focus group discussion, there are two valid root causes of the problem, which are training planning process quality and training execution quality. The focus group discussion also resulted in business solutions to solve the problem by considering KM Metrics (Participation, Capture and Reuse) including: improve planning process and availability of training information by improving web-based information system, add more Guided Experience (GE) program and utilize IBU Subject Matter Expert (SME) to reduce dependency on overseas instructor as well as to encourage participation, capture and reuse of information within business unit, and using technology for implementing long distance learning (tele-conference training, etc).

Abstract

Background: Relapse during orthodontic treatment often occurs. Herbal ingredients have many benefits, one of which is propolis extract which contains flavonoids, saponins and CAPE, which can increase the number of fibroblasts and osteoblasts in the traction area which play a role in bone remodeling, thereby preventing relapse during orthodontic treatment.Purpose: to find out more about herbal ingredients that can prevent relapse during orthodontic treatment.Methode: analyzing research journals from the Google Scholar and Research Gate databases. The research analyzed was the effect of using the herbal ingredient propolis on tooth movement in preventing relapse in orthodontic treatment carried out on animals. Conclusions: This report reveals that the use of propolis at a certain concentration and in combination with HBOT can prevent relapse in orthodontic treatment by accelerating the formation of osteoblasts and fibroblasts.

Abstract

Background: The use of orthodontic appliances for a long time makes it difficult to maintain oral hygiene, so that patients are more susceptible to caries and periodontal disease. Currently, natural ingredients have been used to accelerate tooth movement, one that can be used is the caffeine contained in cocoa. Caffeine can reduce the levels of osteoblasts, Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP), and Osteoprotegerin (OPG) where OPG can inhibit the differentiation and activity of osteoclasts. In addition, caffeine can increase the Receptor Activator of Nuclear factor-Ligand (RANKL), which functions to form and activate osteoclasts, thereby accelerating tooth movement. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of caffeine content in cocoa on tooth movement in orthodontic treatment Methods: Analyzed three (3) journals from Google Scholar, PubMed, and ResearchGate. The journal analyzed was the effect of caffeine content in cocoa on tooth movement in orthodontic treatment and the effect of dose and duration of caffeine consumption from chocolate on alveolar bone mineral density on orthodontic tooth movement. Conclusion: This review proves that cocoa contributes to active orthodontic treatment by modulating the rate of tooth movement, inducing osteoclast genesis, and ultimately shortening the duration of orthodontic treatment. Further studies are needed at the clinical level to confirm the efficacy and potential of cocoa in accelerating tooth movement in orthodontic patients.

Abstract

Background: Halitosis is an unpleasant mouth odor exhaled during breathing. Approximately 80% of halitosis can originate from the oral cavity, while about 10-20% may arise from sources outside the oral cavity. Halitosis has psychological impacts on individuals, leading to poor social communication and reduced social activities. Objective: To assess the overview of knowledge and information regarding halitosis among employees in the environment of Faculty of Dentistry, Moestopo University. Methods: This study employs a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique employed is Purposive sampling, the sample size consists of 58 respondents who participated in the study through a questionnaire distributed using Google Forms and paper-based formats, consisting of 15 closed-ended questions. Respondents’ knowledge is categorized into three levels: good, fair, and poor. Results: Based on the distributed questionnaires, 30 respondents (51.7%) demonstrated good knowledge, 18 respondents (31%) had fair knowledge, and 10 respondents (17.2%) exhibited poor knowledge of halitosis. Conclusion: the analysis data concerning the overview of halitosis knowledge among employees in the environment of Faculty of Dentistry, Moestopo University, it can be concluded that the knowledge of halitosis among employees in the Faculty of Dentistry, Moestopo University environment is categorized as good, with a percentage (51.7%).

Abstract

This study considers Transformative Learning Theory of online students. This research aims to evaluate the level of student satisfaction with online learning platforms and learning experiences during the novel coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through a quantitative study applying online questionnaire carried out in December 2022 – August 2023, using a representative sample (N=104). Findings showed students highly satisfied with the online learning environment and with the school support during COVID-19 pandemic. This study also found that most of the students highly preferred the online learning or the blended learning classroom. The students highly preferred with Zoom as the learning platform and as a course delivery tool. The findings has contributed to the evolving of the Transformative Learning Theory, particularly in online learning in developing contries like Indonesia. This study provides implications to e-education, educators, education institutions, and website system developers of online learning sites dealing with materials and services.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis demands solutions that are not only rooted in science and policy but also address spiritual and ethical dimensions. Various religious traditions emphasize human responsibility in maintaining ecological balance. This study explores the concept of ecotheology within religious texts—Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism—to understand how religious values can synergize in responding to environmental challenges. Using a religious hermeneutic approach, this research analyzes verses from the Qur'an, the Bible, the Vedas, and the Tripitaka that discuss the human-nature relationship. The findings reveal that all four religions share fundamental principles that emphasize ecological balance, such as the concept of khalifah in Islam, stewardship in Christianity, karma and ahimsa in Hinduism, and the interdependence of living beings in Buddhism. The synergy of these values can serve as an ethical foundation for faith-based environmental movements and sustainable policies. Furthermore, this study examines the role of religious institutions in promoting ecological awareness through education, preaching, and social action. It recommends efforts to reinterpret religious texts to be more contextual to modern ecological challenges and to encourage interfaith collaboration in environmental advocacy. Thus, ecotheology can serve as a multidisciplinary approach that integrates religion, ethics, and ecosystem sustainability in contemporary society.
