Abstract

In 2013 curriculum contains four types of core competencies. The core competencies include spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Competence of social attitudes is an important aspect which needed to develop in teaching materials of physics. The purpose of this research was to determine the practicality and the effectiveness of physics teaching materials with the content of social intelligence values on teaching matter of vector addition and linear motion. The type of this research was Research and Development (R & D). The development method which used was Sugiyono R & D model. The object of this research was the teaching material with the content of social intelligence values that was tested to grade X students in SMA Adabiah Padang. The instruments which that used in this research were practicality test sheet and effectiveness test sheet. The form of the effectiveness test sheet were test result sheet and attitude assessment sheet. Data analysis techniques which used were descriptive statistics analysis and comparative test of one group of sample. Based on data analysis, there were two results of this research. First, the use of teaching material with the content of social intelligence values was practice according to physics teachers and students were 91.1 and 76.2 respectively. Second, the use of teaching material with the content of social intelligence values was effective in scientific approach to improve knowledge and attitudes competence of students.

Abstract

The achievment of Students Competence still becomes a problem that is caused by several factors. Therefore this research is conducted to give solution. The solution is using interactive electronic teaching material based character value with scientific approach that aims to improve student holistic competence in tenth garde of SMA N 13 Padang. The type of this research is quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The sample of this research is taken using cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis techniques are adescription in graphic form for character competences, equality test of two averages for skill and knowledge competences. The result of this research shows that the average value study result competences and observation of experiment class is higher than control class in all sectors. The data analysis result of sample class is normaly distributed and homogenous thus it is used t-test with ttable = 2,00. The averages of skill competences in experiment class is 78,03 and control class is 72,88 statisticaly tcount=4,93, the averages of knowledge competences in experiment class is 76,84 and control class is 66,72 statisticaly tcount = 7,21, the averages of skill competences in experiment class 69,54 and control class is 61,03 statisticaly tcount =3,52. From t-test, it can be seen that tcount < ttable so that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted, it can be concluded that there is an significant impact on the using of interactive electronic teaching material based character  with scientific approach  on work and energy  to the achievement holistic competence of student is 0,05.

Abstract

Student worksheet have been applied at school but it’s implementation in the learning is not optimum yet. Hence, the students competence are still low. The result of the students learning will be more optimum with the implementation  of teaching material which is able to increase students motivation to study. Hence, this research aims to see the effect of  student worksheet implementation with generative learning model material to the students competence at SMPN 7 Padang. The Type research of Quasi experiment with Non Equvalen Control Group design. The population of this research are the VIII grade students of SMPN 7 Padang in the 2017/2018 academic  year. The sample taken with Purposive Sampling Technique. The instrument of this research is the objective tes for the knowledge competence, attitude competence, and the assignment sheet for work and skill competence. The hipotesis of this research tested with test the similarity of two average. The Type of this research result are : 1) the average of the knowledge compentence in the experiment class is 82.82, is higher than the control class 76.53. 2) the average of the manner compentences in the experiment class is 82,71is higher than the conrol class 80,09. 3) the average  of the creativity competence in the experiment class is 84.00, is higher than the control class 79.00. to conclude the result of this study is there are several significant influence of the students worksheet implemention with the generative leaning in the students of SMPN 7 Padang compentence.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is designed in order that the students have all competencies, which include spiritual competency, social attitude, knowledge, and skill. Social competency is an important competency to be developed in learning the physics materials. In the process of learning physics, it is required learning materials contain social intelligence values. However, learning materials at schools have not put the values of social intelligence based on the 2013 curriculum. This study aims at producing physics teaching materials with content of social intelligence on parabolic motion, circular motion and Newton's law. The type of research is research and development (R & D). The object of this study is teaching materials with the content of social intelligence in physics learning in grade X high school students. These research and development steps consist of ten steps. However, in this research was limited to the sixth step that is until the trial of the product. The instrument used are validity test sheet and effectiveness test sheet. Based on data analysis, there are two conclusions obtained. First, the teaching materials of physics with contents of social intelligence values developed in accordance with the structure of teaching materials and have a high value. Based on the value given by the validator obtained an average of 85.5 with very high category. Second, teaching materials of physics with the content of social intelligence values developed effective used in the study physics. This can be seen from the increased aspects of knowledge after using the teaching materials of physics with the content of social intelligence values.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of Curriculum 2013 on the four dimensions of knowledge taught in physics learning. At the Curriculum 2013 known metacognitive knowledge includes factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge. Metacognitive is the ability of students to control cognitive aspects. From the results of previous research, metacognitive knowledge of students is the lowest than the other three knowledges. Based on observation and interview in the school, the achievement of competence of students is still low, one of the causes is not much effort by teachers to develop metacognitive of students. Efforts to develop metacognitive of students can be done with metacognitive strategies. Learning that involves metacognitive is important to improve thinking ability and ability to solve the problems of students. One solution is to develop LKPD (worksheet student) oriented metacognitive strategy. The purpose of this research is to produce LKPD which is can to be used in physic learning, so that it is hoped that the competence of student can be achieved.Research conducted is research and development (R&D) using ADDIE development model that is reduced to the analysis, design and development. The research subjects consisted of three experts as a validator, physics lecturer FMIPA UNP, and two physics teachers to test the practicality of LKPD and one class X MIPA 4 SMA Adabiah Padang as practitioners to give response to LKPD.The result of research shows that LKPD oriented metacognitive strategy is in very valid category by experts with validity value 85,1%, and very practical according to teacher with practicality value 85,4% and is in practical category according to students with value 79,9%.

Abstract

Multiple representations are recommended for the better understanding of the concepts of physic. One of the concept that we can use is Free Body Diagram (FBD). Free body diagram is a diagram that describes all of the external forces that work on an object in x and y direction. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of the application of free body diagram towards high school students’s abylity to solve physic problems about Newton’s Law. This research used Quasi Experiment Research with Randomized Control-Group Only Design as research design. The population of this research is all of the first grade student of SMA N 14 Padang in 2017/2018 year study. The result of this study showed there is the difference of Mean between sample classes significantly. The coefficient of correlation between the application of free body diagram and high school student’s ability to solve physic problems is about 0,71. It means the correlation is strong. The determination coefficient of this research  is 51,01% or the influence of the treatment is 51,01% toward the ability of student to solve physic problems about Newton’s Law.

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 has four core competencies to be achieved consisting of spiritual competence, social attitude competence, knowledge competence, and skill competence. But in reality it is not as expected. One factor is the lack of use of learning resources that can improve the competence of studens in accordance with the demands of the curriculum 2013. This study aims to design a product in the form of learning materials that contain content of emotional intelligence values on Physics materials about addition vectors and linear motion. The type of research is research and development (R & D). In this study there are 10 steps, namely potential and problems, data collection, design, product testing, design revision, trial usage, product revision, mass product. However, in this study only done until the third stage, the product design is doing research to make the product design but not followed by making and testing the product. The results of this study based on the analysis that has been done is a descriptive product of physics learning materials that are charged emotional intelligence values based on the meaning of materials and concepts of Physics on the topic of vector and linear motion for the imple- mentation of curriculum 2013 on the learning of class X / SMA / MA students.

Abstract

The process of nuclear physics learning at this time has not fulfilled the desired learning outcomes. Based on the observations, most of the nuclear physics topic is abstract and nuclear physics learning has not been supported by laboratory activities. The solution of this problem is to do laboratory activities with virtual laboratory activities. The application that will be used in this activity requires a guide that matches the characteristics of students. This research aims to develop valid and practice student worksheets (LKM) as a support for virtual laboratory activities on the topic of nuclear fission reactions. The LKM was developed using the ADDIE method that is limited to the development stage. The object of this research is an LKM used as support for virtual laboratory activities. The data collection instrument used in this research is a validity questionnaire and practicality questionnaire. Based on the research that has been done, the conclusion is the LKM has been valid and practice to be used in the nuclear physics learning on the topic of nuclear fission reactions.

Abstract

The achievement’s competence of physic’s from the student is still slow. Some of the causes are limited implementation of the scientific approach in learning. Limited ability to think from student’s in answering questions that are creative, and limited learning resource that apply aspects of the scientific method. This study aims to produce LKS oriented scientific method’s are valid and practical to improve the achievement’s of student competence in physic lesson’s. The knowledge obtained by student’s in the form of scientific knowledge as obtained throught the steps of scientific methods.The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation) which is reduce into the develop stage.  The reasearch subjects consisted of three lectures of FMIPA UNP as a validator. Three teachers of physic and one student class X MIA 5 SMA 16 Padang as a practitioner.The LKS validation test result that is 81,05% are on very valid criteria. The result of practice test result of LKS by teacher that is 88,33%  are on very practical criteria, while the result practice test by student that is 84,07% are on very practical criteria. The result of this study indicate that LKS oriented scientific method worthy of use in physic learning for SMA/MA in term’s of validity and practicality.
