Abstract

The rhizosphere is a soil zone surrounding plant roots characterized by high microbial abundance, including organic matter-decomposing fungi. Trichoderma sp. is recognized as an antagonistic fungus effective in controlling plant pathogens and playing a role in cellulose degradation. This study aimed to explore and identify Trichoderma sp. isolates from the rhizosphere of crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia speciosa) as biocontrol agent candidates. Soil samples were collected in June 2023 at three locations in Lampung University: Department of Biology (JB), Faculty of Agriculture (FP), and Faculty of Engineering (FT). Fungal density analysis was conducted quantitatively, while isolate identification was based on macroscopic and microscopic morphological characteristics. The results showed that the highest fungal density was found at the FP location (5×10⁷ CFU/g) and the lowest at JB (3×10⁷ CFU/g). Density variation was influenced by vegetation diversity and soil organic matter content. The obtained isolates were identified as Trichoderma sp. with characteristics of dark green colonies, erect conidiophores, and vertical branching. Trichoderma sp. from the crape myrtle rhizosphere has potential to be developed as a biocontrol agent for plant pathogens and organic matter decomposer.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between online gaming addiction and mental health, quality of life, psychosocial well-being, and the spiritual dynamics of individuals in maintaining worship consistency in the digital era. It also examines psychological factors that act as mediators and moderators in the development of online gaming addiction while identifying theoretical approaches and intervention strategies reported in recent studies. A qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA guidelines was conducted. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database using keywords related to online gaming addiction, digital spirituality, religiosity among online gamers, and psychological well-being. The selection process resulted in 16 articles that met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that online gaming addiction is significantly associated with increased psychological distress, loneliness, depression, reduced quality of life, impaired social relationships, and decreased consistency in worship. Psychological factors, including self-control, gratitude, emotional schema, meaning in life, responsibility, and school belongingness, were found to either exacerbate or mitigate the risk of gaming addiction. The novelty of this study lies in providing a comprehensive literature synthesis that integrates the relationships between online gaming addiction, mental health, quality of life, psychosocial well-being, and spiritual dynamics, particularly worship consistency in the digital era, while systematically identifying psychological factors that function as mediators and moderators in the development of gaming addiction. These findings demonstrate that online gaming addiction is a multidimensional phenomenon requiring integrated psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual perspectives to support the development of more comprehensive prevention and intervention strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Educaplay on the science and social studies (IPAS) learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDN Jatibening 4 Bekasi. The background of this research is the low IPAS learning outcomes of students who were still below the minimum completeness criteria (70) with an average score of 58, as well as the learning process that still used conventional models, causing students to tend to be passive and less actively involved. This study used a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental Design of the post-test only control design type. The research population was all students in grades III-A and III-B at SDN Jatibening 4 Bekasi, totaling 60 students, with a saturated sampling technique so that the entire population was used as samples. Class III-A (30 students) as the experimental group was given treatment using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Educaplay, while class III-B (30 students) as the control group used conventional learning models. The research instrument was a written test in the form of multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques included normality test (Lilliefors), homogeneity test (Fisher), hypothesis testing (t-test), and effect size test (Cohen's d). The results showed that the average score of the experimental class 81.5 was higher than the control class 70.66. The hypothesis test resulted in tcount 2.869 > ttable 2.003, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The effect size calculation obtained a value of 0.66, which falls into the large/strong category. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Educaplay has a significant and positive effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of grade 3 students at SDN Jatibening 4 Bekasi. This study suggests that teachers should apply the PBL model assisted by digital media such as Educaplay as an innovative learning alternative, and schools are expected to provide supporting facilities and teacher training to optimize the use of technology in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model, supported by Dienes Blocks, on the subtraction skills of second-grade elementary school students. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with Dienes Blocks as manipulative materials to create a concrete, cooperative, and game-based learning experience for subtraction. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The study subjects consisted of 53 students, including 27 students in the experimental class and 26 students in the control class. Data were collected using a subtraction skills assessment test that met validity and reliability criteria. The results showed that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model aided by Dienes Blocks had a significant effect on students’ subtraction skills (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.013 < 0.05). The average posttest score for the experimental class (95.41) was higher than that of the control class (90.69). In addition, the average N-Gain for the experimental class reached 0.766 (high category), while that of the control class was 0.551 (moderate category). These findings indicate that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model supported by Dienes Blocks is effective in improving the subtraction skills of lower-grade elementary school students and has the potential to serve as an alternative mathematics learning strategy that supports the improvement of students’ arithmetic skills.

Abstract

Narcotics crimes are a serious concern in the Indonesian criminal justice system due to their widespread impact on individual health and public safety. This study aims to analyze the judge's considerations in issuing sentences below the minimum limit stipulated in Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in the Salatiga District Court Decision No. 90/Pid.Sus/2019/Pn Slt. The method used is legal research using both a statutory and case-based approach. The results show that the judge considered several mitigating factors, including the relatively small amount of narcotics, the defendant's role as a non-major dealer, and the defendant's track record of prior involvement in similar crimes. The judge's considerations are an important instrument in realizing substantive justice and demonstrate the flexibility of the application of narcotics criminal law according to the facts of the trial.

Abstract

The phenomenon of Indonesian migrant workers working non-procedurally remains a serious problem, particularly when it involves children as a vulnerable group potentially subject to human rights violations. Children of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia often face limited access to education, health services, legal protection, and social security due to their parents' administrative status not being in accordance with procedures. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal protection and the fulfillment of human rights for children of Indonesian migrant workers working non-procedurally in Malaysia. The research method used is empirical legal research (juridical-empirical) with a descriptive analytical approach, through a review of laws and regulations, international legal instruments, and empirical data sourced from relevant research and scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that although Indonesia has a legal framework governing the protection of migrant workers and their families, the implementation of legal protection and the fulfillment of human rights for children of migrant workers is still ineffective. The main obstacles include weak coordination between institutions, limited access to basic services, and the impact of parents' non-procedural status. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen policies, increase bilateral cooperation, and adopt a human rights-based protection approach to ensure the sustainable fulfillment of the rights of Indonesian migrant workers' children.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between students’ physical activities outside the classroom and their engagement during lessons in Grade IV at SDN Mluweh 01, Ungaran Timur District, Semarang Regency. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected through a physical activity questionnaire adapted from the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) and classroom observation sheets. The sample was determined using Slovin’s formula with a 5% margin of error, ensuring representativeness. he results of the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between physical activity and classroom engagement (r = 0.612; p = 0.000). This finding indicates that students with higher physical activity scores tend to demonstrate greater activeness in class, including participation in discussions, responsiveness to teachers’ questions, and enthusiasm during lessons. The study concludes that physical activity functions as a mechanism for regulating energy and emotions, thereby preparing students to actively engage in learning. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of providing sufficient opportunities for physical activity in elementary schools, such as traditional games, light exercise, and extracurricular activities, as effective strategies to enhance classroom engagement and support holistic educational goals.
