Abstract

Moral support and political communication at the local level have a significant impact on the victory of regional head candidates in Tapal Kuda. This study aims to analyze the role of religious scholars in local political communication, the strategies used, and their impact on the results of the regional head elections. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in two regions with strong religious cultures: Probolinggo, Bondowoso, Jember, and Situbondo Regencies. The results found Moral Endorsement, where religious scholars provide explicit support to certain candidates, often by linking the candidate's character to religious values. The dissemination of political messages through religious sermons, mass mobilization, religious scholars mobilizing their support base to attend campaigns and using religious networks to strengthen political support.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of satisfaction in increasing tourists' behavioral intentions with perceived trust as a mediator, and to contribute to the development of cultural tourism behavioral theory. Using a qualitative approach with SmartPLS 4 analysis, this study involved 150 local tourists and 25 international tourists visiting Orahili Traditional Village during a three-month observation period. The variables analyzed included satisfaction, perceived trust, and behavioral intentions. The results show that satisfaction has a direct effect on behavioral intentions and an indirect effect through trust as a mediator. This study confirms that trust plays a key role in strengthening the impact of satisfaction on tourist behavior, with important implications for cultural destination management to improve the quality of tourist experiences and relationships.

Abstract

In pharmaceutical distribution, balancing high product variety with fluctuating demand is a constant challenge. When inventory decisions don’t reflect actual customer usage, companies face a frustrating cycle of stock-outs for popular items and dusty shelves for slow-movers—eventually hurting the bottom line. Mediklug, a healthcare tech firm, faced this exact issue; despite having detailed clinic-level consumption data from their EMR system, they saw a significant revenue dip in late 2025. This study explores how to bridge that gap using Demand-Driven Supply Chain (DDSC) principles. By leveraging Business Intelligence (BI), we aimed to turn Mediklug’s "data wealth" into actual insights. The research focused on three areas: identifying where demand and inventory were mismatched, building a BI dashboard to guide better purchasing, and seeing if the team would actually find the tool useful. We took a mixed-methods approach, cleaning up messy EMR data to match inventory records and interviewing the people on the front lines. The results were clear: the mismatches were systemic, but the new dashboard made demand much easier to see and manage. Most importantly, the stakeholders found the solution practical and easy to use. Ultimately, this case shows that even in complex pharmaceutical environments, BI can make "demand-driven" management a reality rather than just a theory.

Abstract

The long-standing debate about whether science should be value-free or value-laden has resurfaced as scientific research is used as a basis for public decision-making and organizational policy. On the one hand, the positivist tradition envisions science as devoid of moral, political, and religious considerations. On the other hand, recent studies in the philosophy of science suggest that this image is too naive. Heather Douglas, for example, argues that the ideal of value-free science is inadequate and undesirable because scientific decisions always involve inductive risks and moral consequences that cannot be ignored, so non-epistemic values inevitably come into play at various stages of research (Douglas, 2000; Douglas, 2009). Helen Longino adds that scientific theories are underpinned by background assumptions imbued with values and ideologies, so objectivity is better understood as the result of critical practices within the scientific community rather than as the complete absence of values (Longino, 1996). In management research, particularly when it touches on business ethics, social responsibility, and sustainability, this value dimension is increasingly evident, while the literature on Islamic business ethics and Islamic work ethics (IWE) explicitly places monotheism, justice, trustworthiness, and maslahah as guiding principles for organizational behavior (Sofyan et al., 2024; Zaroni & Lestari, 2025; Sudirman et al., 2024). This article compiles an integrative literature review of these writings to propose a framework for responsible objectivity in Islamic value-based management research, namely scientific practices that maintain methodological rigor while honestly acknowledging and managing the role of Islamic values in an explicit and accountable manner.

This study aims to analyze the role of the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of North Sumatra Province in handling violations of the 2024 Election. This study uses an empirical juridical method with a statutory regulatory approach and an empirical approach. Data were obtained through interviews and observations, and supported by primary and secondary legal materials. The results show that the Bawaslu of North Sumatra Province has carried out its role in handling election violations in accordance with statutory provisions. However, in practice, there are still normative obstacles in the form of legal gaps and multi-interpretable norms in the Election Law, Bawaslu Regulations, and technical guidelines for handling violations, which affect legal certainty in handling election violations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the complex impact of President Donald Trump's "America First" protectionist economic policies on economic growth in the Southeast Asian region through the lens of Economic Realism theory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical design. Data were collected through document studies in the form of official US policy data, ASEAN communiques, World Bank and IMF reports, and other academic literature, which were analyzed thematically based on the Economic Realism framework. The results reveal a dual impact. Trump's policies disrupted global supply chains and increased uncertainty. However, simultaneously, these policies opened up strategic opportunities in the form of trade diversion and investment relocation from China to Southeast Asia. The impact was not homogeneous, with Vietnam emerging as a major beneficiary, while countries with highly open economies experienced a slowdown. In aggregate, the region's economies demonstrated resilience driven by domestic demand and regional integration, leading to accelerated structural transformation. There are significant implications of Trump's policies regarding his role as a catalyst for accelerating economic diversification and building regional economic resilience. Therefore, to ensure sustainable growth, Southeast Asian countries need to continue strengthening regional cooperation and enhancing domestic competitiveness.

Abstract

For sustainable business growth in the FMCG industry, consistently achieving KPI targets for frontliner merchandiser and salesman is a must because they are fully supported by marketing and the company to do that. Data shows that 54 merchandisers in eight areas of Jakarta only achieved 80.4% of their on-time Visibility KPI target in the third week of August 2025, which should have been achieved in every second week. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of this gap, design a scalable and sustainable onboarding framework that can be applied across all regions and third-party agencies. The study used Focus Group Discussions, interviews, and fishbone analysis to understand what happens in actual field operations. After gathering feedback, validating the root causes of key issues, and training trends, especially for new employees entering the field without clear guidance, this study aims to find solutions and model recommendations. Based on these insights, the recommendation is to build a standardized onboarding framework and training materials through ADKAR approach that provide the same basic skills for every frontliner merchandiser. A structured and sustainable onboarding process is expected to improve capabilities, increase KPI-productivity achievement, and support long-term operational consistency.
