Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of caffeine content ranging from 94-150 mg in espresso on the cardiovascular endurance of volleyball players. The research employed a quantitative approach, specifically a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population for this study comprised 14 members of the volleyball team in Dusun Kalangbangi Lor A. The sampling technique involved screening, and data analysis was conducted using the paired sample T-test, preceded by the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality and the test of homogeneity of variances for homogeneity testing. The research findings revealed that the calculated t-value (t-statistic) was greater than the critical t-value (t-table), specifically 5.612 > 2.365, indicating the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho). Consequently, the conclusions drawn from the study are as follows: (1) There is an impact of caffeine when consumed in sufficient amounts. (2) Based on linear regression analysis, the R-Square value was found to be 0.891. This implies that the impact of consuming caffeine with a content of 94-150 mg in the short term on cardiovascular endurance is 89.1%, with the remaining 10.1% influenced by other factors. Therefore, consuming 94-150 mg of caffeine 30-60 minutes before undergoing a multistage fitness test can have a positive influence on cardiovascular endurance.

Abstract

The study was conducted using an experimental method with a quantitative approach. This study has two variables, namely variable X learning styles and family environment and variable Y learning outcomes in science subjects. The population in this study were all fourth grade classes totaling 75 students, and the sample was class IV.A as a class without treatment and IV.B as a class with treatment so that the total sample was 50 students. Researchers conducted validation on lecturers and teachers concerned, the results were tested on respondents. Researchers continued the reliability test to determine whether the questions were reliable or not. The data analysis applied is normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The result of the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000. This shows that the significance value is smaller than the specified significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the data obtained is considered significant. Furthermore, the calculated t value is 7.090. Compare it with the t table value with a degree of freedom (df) of 48 and a significance level of 0.05. It is found that the t table value is 1.677. In conclusion, the calculated t value obtained is much greater than the t table value with the specified significance level. This indicates that there is a significant difference between the observed data and the proposed hypothesis. So it can be concluded that the t-count value (7.090) is greater than the t-table value (1.677), so the t-count value is greater than the t-table value (1.677).

Abstract

A study was conducted by researchers at SD Negeri 35 Palembang. The purpose of this study was to examine the various factors that cause students' lack of interest in learning in grade IV in mathematics. The researcher utilized a qualitative research method using a case study approach. Data collection was done through triangulation and inductive analysis, and emphasis on meaning rather than generalization in qualitative research results. Case study refers to a series of research activities carried out in a structured, detailed, and thorough manner regarding a program, event, or activity. The purpose of this case study is to understand in depth about it, both from the perspective of individuals, groups, institutions, and organizations. Generally, the case chosen is an ongoing event in real life, not something that has happened in the past. The process of collecting information is carried out through direct observation and interaction through interviews. Based on observations, interviews, and notes taken by the researcher, it was concluded that there were about five students in one class who received low scores and lacked interest in learning mathematics. Based on information found by researchers during observations and interviews, it can be concluded that there are several reasons why grade IV students' interest in learning mathematics at SD Negeri 35 Palembang is low. First, students do not have enough rest time. Second, students lack motivation to learn. Third, students do not show high interest in math. Fourth, students have to deal with two activities at once, namely school and boarding school. Finally, there is the influence of the post-Covid-19 situation or online learning.
