Abstract

Background: More than 30 times earthquake occurred in Indonesia in the periode 2016-2017 and 23 times occurred in 2018. It made people more anxious. This is also a warning of the coming of the doom which is explained in several verses of the Qur'an. One of them is surah al-Insyiqaq. Understanding the meaning of this surah is expected to increase anxiety or feelings of surrender. These emotions can affect brain activity and can be recorded withElectroencephalography (EEG). To date, there has been no specific study of alpha wave activity when surah al-Insyiqaq is played between groups who understand the meaning of the surah and those who do not understand. Objective: Comparing the alpha brain wave activity during listening surah al-Insyiqaq in the control group and the treatment group.Method: This research is a study using experimental methods conducted on 20 subjects using simple random sampling. Subject were divided into two groups, the control group, and the treatment group. The treatment group was given a booklet, video and lecture about the contents of the surah. Brain wave activity was measured before and after the intervention using EEG during the subject listens to murottal of the surah. Results: There is a significant difference in understanding the meaning of Surat al-Insyiqaq between the results of the post test control group and the treatment group that was previously given the intervention (p=0,041). The significance value of the difference in alpha wave activity in the two groups was performed using the Independent t test and obtained p = 0.033.Conclusion: Understanding surah al-Insyiqaq creates a feeling of calm and surrender to God. This can lead to greater alpha brain wave activity when listening to surah al-Insyiqaq than those who are not given an understanding of the meaning of surah al-Insyiqaq.

Abstract

Background. The average achievement of hemodialysis adequacy which was carried out twice a week for 4 hours at Fatmawati Hospital was 1.49. As many as 82% had not reached adequate dialysis (Kt/V<1.8). Based on the calculation of the dialysate proportioning system, hemodialysis for 4 hours with a dialysate flow rate/Quick Dialysate Flow (QD) of 500 ml/minute will leave dialysate. In the 1 month observation, there were 1.755.6 liters residual dialysate parts Acid (A) and 6,283.2 liters parts Bicarbonate (B). This residual puts a burden on the hospital in treating liquid waste. But with QD 650 ml/minute, both part A and part B, dialysate is still sufficient. On the other hand, QD can affect the achievement of HD compliance.Aim. Knowing the difference in hemodialysis adequacy with QD 500 ml/minute and 650 ml / minute.Method. This study used a case-control analysis for the control group (QD 500 ml/minute) and the intervention group (QD 650 ml/minute) with a Quasy Experiment design through a comparative analysis approach with matching/cross over techniques. Hemodialysis adequacy (Kt/V) is measured 2 times using the QX calculate application (Daugirdas formula), namely at QD 500 ml/minute and QD 650 ml/minute for further analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test.Result. The study was conducted on 115 respondents with a total of 230 HD sessions. The mean Kt/V in the intervention group was 1.69 and in the control group 1.49 (p-value = 0.006) and it was seen that there was a shift in the achievement of HD adequacy to a better category; The very inadequate and inadequate adequacy category decreased from QD 500 ml/minute to QD 650 ml/minute, and conversely, the adequate and very adequate adequate category experienced an increase in number.Conclusion. Hemodialysis with QD 650 ml/minute resulted in better hemodialysis adequacy than QD 500 ml/minute.

Abstract

Background: The impact of eating difficulty in children can cause the intake of nutrients to be less, so the nutritional needs become unreachable. It is not easy for parents to face the fact that their children have eating difficulty. Coping becomes part of the adjustment. Coping is a special term used to indicate an individual's reaction when facing pressure or stress. Thus, the coping strategies of parents in dealing with children who have eating difficulty is requiredto deal with and control existing problems. Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the coping strategies of mothers who have children with eating difficulty. Methods: This research was a phenomenological qualitative research. Qualitative data collection techniques in this study was in-depth semi-structured interview techniques. Data analysis was performed by AtlasTi software. Content analysis was used to analyze raw data and identify overarching themes. Results: There four main themes and associated subthemes, were abstracted from the data, namely feeding problem manifestation (refusing to chew, throw out, prolonged mealtimes, inadequate food intake, food refusal, picky eating, closed mouth), stress full condition (angry/out of control, miserable, confused/puzzled, worried, impatient, frustrating), removed from the situation (positive thinking, ignored, acceptance, persevering, religious approaches),and action to modify situation (creative, seeking for help, looking for information, giving the nutrition supplement). Conclusion: This study may have implications for the implementation in overcoming child with eating difficulties. By understanding the mother's condition, then the treatment will be more focused and precise.

Abstract

Background: To safe services in hygienic conditions must be made widely available and affordable, so that the stigma associated with providing and obtaining abortions can lessen and safe services can become normal and accepted, abortion is broadly legal, widely available and safe in Indonesia. Objective: The purpose of this article to discuss ius constituendum on abortion in Indonesia from criminal law perspective between Common Law System and Civil Law System. In Indonesia Ius Contituendum on abortion  is not directed to legalization of abortion as carried out both in Netherland and USA but tends to be harmonized with therapeutic abortion concept both medical and psychiatric fields.Material and Method: Systematic review of studies evaluating the prevalence of unsafe abortion in Indonesia. Results: The public health tragedy caused by unsafe abortion is all the more so because it is largely preventable, by improving the quality and availability of post abortion care, by making abortion legal and increasing access to safe services, and—because almost every abortion is preceded by an unintended pregnancy—by expanding access to contraceptive information and services. Restrictive laws have much less impact on stopping women from ending an unwanted pregnancy than on forcing those who are determined to do so to seek out clandestine means. Ironically, the abortion laws governing of Indonesia  is holdovers from the colonial era.Conclutions:  “Halal” abortion is making a significant contribution toward reducing the need for abortion altogether and the likelihood of unsafe abortion by bringing down the rates of unintended pregnancy. This is also helping to reduce complications of unsafe abortion through its support for programs to increase access to and improve post abortion care. This includes not only treatment for septic or incomplete abortion, but also essential post abortion. Keywords: “Halal” abortion, the public health tragedy, unintended pregnancy Common law system,Civil law system and Ius Constituendum.

Abstract

Introduction: 14-3-3 protein plays an important role in protecting cardiac cells from hypertrophy and endoplasmic reticulum stress during pressure overload elicited by aortic banding (AB) surgery; however, the relation among these protective roles is largely unknown. Methods: We investigated the in vivo role of 14-3-3 protein in two protocols involving C57/BL-6 mice and dominant negative (DN) 14-3-3η mice subjected to three- or seven-days pressure overload stimulation by applying AB surgery. The protein expressions of cardiac hypertrophy and ER stress markers, including atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), galectin-3, glucose-regulated protein (GRP)78, calreticulin as well as 14-3-3 protein was analyzed by western blot. Results: Three- or seven-day pressure overload stimulation significantly increased the heart weight/body weight (HW/BW) ratio; cardiomyocyte diameter; and the protein expression levels of ANP, GRP78 as well as 14-3-3 in the C57/BL-6 mice. Partial inactivation of 14-3-3 protein in the DN 14-3-3η mice significantly increased the protein expression of ANP, Galectin-3, GRP78, and calreticulin after three- or seven-days AB surgery. Conclusion: These results suggest that 14-3-3 protein, as a molecular chaperone, protects against pathological cardiac hypertrophy, at least in part, by maintaining the normal ER function through the regulation of GRP78 and calreticulin.

Abstract

Objectives/Background: The aim of this study was to investigate nutritional habits, biochemical markers and the allele and genotype frequencies of GCK rs4607517 -30G>A polymorphism of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).Methods:  The study was conducted with 200 T2DM patients and 100 controls. The analysis of GCK Gene rs4607517 -30G>A polymorphism was performed by Real-Time PCR method. The Attitude Scale for Healthy Nutrition was applied to the intervention group. Additionally, the sociodemographic data of the patients were collected, anthropometric measurements were performed and their biochemical markers were examined. Results: The mean duration of diabetes of the patients was 7.94±5.81 years, the mean age 55.88±12.23 years, the mean BMI 30.14±5.91 kg/m2, and the mean HbA1c value was 7.74±1.97. There was no difference between allele and genotype frequencies of two groups (p>0.05). The anthropometric and biochemical values of the patients with different genotype was similar (p>0,05). Furthermore, as the HbA1c values of the patients increased, the Malnutrition score was found to increase, and there was a statistically significant found between the groups (p=0.012). Conclusion: Although there are studies related to the effect of rs4607517 polymorphism in the GCK gene on the development of T2DM, the fact that the frequency of polymorphism of the patient group in our study was similar to the control group makes it necessary for the variant to be screened in larger patient populations. The majority of patients with T2DM were found to have high levels of HbA1c, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, inadequate level of nutrition knowledge and were obese.
