Abstract

Screening tests of tuberculosis transmission on family members living in housemates are attempts to increase the discovery of tuberculosis cases and are important in the control of tuberculosis. Positive TB event figures at the community Hall of Public Lung Health (BBKPM) in Makassar the defense is experiencing a tendency to increase so that the risk of transmission will increase especially against family members because of the transmission of TB through droplet infection. The activities of this Community devotion to improving the capacity of health workers in the efforts of the prevention of tuberculosis disease by enhancing the early detection ability of tuberculosis disease transmission in family members of housemates. The method of this dedication by conducting the Tuberculin test in the family contact of patients with active TB in BBKPMM. This activity is conducted from July to October 2019. Diagnosis of examination is conducted by nurses and medical laboratory energy analysts. The family member of the patient who is used as a participant in this activity is a family of active TB sufferers in the treatment room of the second floor in BBKPMM. Results of the test tests of tuberculosis from 45 members of the household contacts of patients with active Lung Tuberculosis obtained 22 people (49%) Positive and 23 people (51%). The results of this activity as an input for the BBPKMM will do follow up for the positive family members of the sufferer.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to enhance motivation, knowledge and skills about techniques of producing organic fertilizer from household waste by utilizing local microorganisms (MOL), which can replace agricultural chemicals. Training of using of bamboo shoots vegetable waste, as MOL in the manufacture of organic fertilizer, provides enlightenment in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer, and encourages local community businesses independently. MOL contain micro and macro nutrients and bacteria that have the potential to decompose organic matter, stimulate plant growth and act as an activator or decomposer in composting. Organic fertilizers are fertilizers composed of living matter that is processed through a process of decomposition (decomposition) by decomposing bacteria. The method of this community service consists of three phase, namely: 1) the preparation phase, including counseling to the community of Bonto Kio Village, Kec. Minasate'ne, Kab. Pangkep on the using of MOL as liquid organic fertilizer from bamboo shoots vegetable waste; 2) the implementation phase, including direct practice of the material presented; and 3) question and answer or discussion on the use of MOL as organic fertilizer. The results show that this counseling and training success to enhance motivation the community and shows that their level of curiosity and interest in making liquid organic fertilizer using local microorganisms is quite high, such as to increase soil microbes which in turn maintain the fertility of their agricultural land. The community's understanding of the benefits of this activity is very large, as can be seen from the desire to independently make MOL-based organic fertilizers.

Abstract

One of the cosmetics that is widely used by the general public, especially women, is facial whitening. Some manufacturers are not responsible for using harmful substances such as mercury (Hg) is used as a skin whitening agent. It can damage organs over time and is also highly toxic. Mercury can be toxic in small amounts. Side effects start with skin discoloration, darkening, allergies and inflammation, high doses can cause permanent damage to the brain and kidneys as well as cause fetal damage. Short-term exposure to high doses can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lung damage and is a carcinogen. This community service activity is very important because the community needs to be protected from the circulation of cosmetics that do not meet the safety, benefit and quality requirements. Cosmetics containing heavy metals that exceed the requirements can harm and endanger public health. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of choosing safe cosmetics for mothers so that it is expected to have benefits for increasing knowledge and awareness about cosmetics, as well as mothers. -Mother has the will and ability to choose cosmetics that are safe for health. Participants were so enthusiastic in participating in the material delivery event, this was because there had never been any counseling related to the safe use of cosmetics. After participating in this outreach activity, participants are expected to understand cosmetic standards that are safe from harmful heavy metals such as mercury, choose good cosmetics, and know the shelf life and proper storage of cosmetics.

Abstract

During the current COVID-19 pandemic, people are required to have a good immune system. To gain immunity, people can consume herbal drinks that can be made from the harvested plants of TOGA. Various types of TOGA plants that can be used such as lemongrass, turmeric, ginger, and java ginger. This plant can be planted in a narrow area or in a pot that can be placed in the yard of the house. This is in line with the condition of Kramatinggil Urban Village in Gresik District which does not have a large area as a planting medium so they can take advantage of the yard. The purpose of planting TOGA is to familiarize residents with planting original spices from Indonesian crops and processing herbal drinks in order to increase the immune system, especially for protection from COVID-19. The results of the program showed that TOGA planting video was watched 60 times and the video for making herbal drinks was watched 47 times by local residents. In addition, 30 bottles of herbal drinks have been distributed to residents of Kramatinggil Urban Village.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia is an earthquake-prone area so that several large earthquakes cause a lot of damage. The city of Surakarta has experienced an earthquake that caused severe damage and currently based on the results of the mapping conducted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the city of Surakarta is included in the red zone area or the danger area of ​​a tectonic earthquake. Given that the Al Mukmin Islamic Boarding School is located on the border of the city of Surakarta, which has high-rise school buildings and dormitories that are also multi-storey with the number of students living in dormitories approaching 1,400 people, it is necessary to immediately arrange disaster risk management by mitigating and preparing for earthquake disasters. The goal is the preparation of an evacuation route map in the Al Mukmin Sukoharjo Islamic Boarding School learning building. In order to achieve the goals that have been set, the method used is observation of evacuation routes and plans for installing safety signs. The results of the service in the form of the arrangement of evacuation routes for the boys' and girls' learning buildings as well as plans for the installation of safety signs and the location of the gathering point have been prepared. The conclusion is that field observations in order to recognize the existence of disaster risk must be carried out so that the construction of evacuation routes and places for installing safety signs can be arranged and carried out properly Keywords: Disaster Evacuation Route, Learning Building, Islamic Boarding School

Abstract

Penglihatan sangat berperan penting ketika kita ingin mendapatkan informasi dari lingkungan. Jika terjadi gangguan penglihatan, maka kesempatan seseorang untuk memperoleh informasi dari lingkungan akan hilang. penyandang disabilitas netra yang disebabkan oleh ketunanetraannya menyebabkan adanya keterbatasan yang dimiliki seperti keterbatasan dalam lingkup dan keanekaragaman pengalaman, keterbatasan dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungan khususnya pengembangan potensi diri,keterbatasan dalam pemenuhan penerapan hidup bersih dan sehat Akibat keterbatasan ini pula, memberikan pengalaman personal yang menyebabkan timbulnya efek psikologis dan pada akhirnya akan berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan fisik dan kejiwaannya. Hal ini pula yang dicermati dalam pengamatan dan analisis kami terhadap situasi dan kondisi sahabat kita para penyandang disabilitas netra yang berada di Kota Makassar, sehingga diadakan kegiatan ini dengan tujuan adalah memberikan edukasi tentang penerapan hidup sehat dan pengembangan potensi diri bagi penyandang disabilitas netra. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman, serta mereka sangat berpotensi dan memiliki keahlian dan kemampuan di bidang terapi pijat, berjualan kripik, bernyanyi dan memainkan alat musik, melantunkan ayat suci al Quran dengan fasih dan indah, serta komunitas ini rutin mengikuti tarbiyah . Potensi inilah yang dioptimalkan sesuai bidangnya masing-masing dan tentunya mereka perlu dibentuk agar anugerah yang istimewa ini terwujud dalam prestasi optimal, serta untuk mewujudkan kesamaan hak dan kesempatan bagi penyandang disabilitas menuju kehidupan yang sejahtera, mandiri, dan tanpa diskriminasi.

Abstract

The use of gadgets not only has a positive impact but also has a negative impact. Community service activities are carried out in Biboro Hamlet, Kec. Biring Bulu with counseling about the dangers of radiation to children. This counseling is held with the aim of providing knowledge to the community and determining the actions to be taken regarding themselves, namely preventing the effects of radiation on children. The implementation of counseling activities was carried out in 2 stages, namely the first stage of health counseling and the second stage followed by health checks for the residents of Dusun Biboro, Kec. Feather Birth. In the first stage, the extension material was delivered using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. In the second stage, the health examination was carried out by PKN Muhammadiyah Muhammadiyah Makassar Health Polytechnic students. This activity succeeded in conducting outreach to 59 residents of Dusun Biboro, Kec. Feather Birth. The implementation of the activity went smoothly, full of enthusiasm from the counseling participants. The role of parents is very important in setting limits and controlling gadget play time to optimize children's growth and development
