Abstract

Air susu ibu (ASI) diketahui mengandung laktosa dalam jumlah cukup banyak. Laktosa yang terkandung dalam susu dan juga makanan akan dicerna oleh enzim laktase yaitu suatu enzim yang dihasilkan mukosausus halus. Bila ada kerusakan mukosa usus pada serangan gastroenteritis, yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah gangguan pada enzim laktase berupa defisiensi laktase. Hal ini menyebabkan intoleransi laktosa dan dapat memicu diare. Penderita diare yang diberi susu bebas laktosa, lebih pendek masa perawatannya dikarenakan frekuensi buang airnya lebih cepat menurun dan konsistensi fesesnya lebih cepat berubahmenjadi lembek bahkan padat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian susu bebas laktosa terhadap karakteristik buang air besar pasien anak usia 1-24 bulan dengan diare akut di ruang perawatan anak RSU Anutapura Palu.Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pra eksperimen dengan metode one group pre testpost test. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anggota populasi yang tersedia (total populasi) yaitu berjumlah 32 orang sesuai kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan melalui uji T-test, untuk variabel konsistensi feses didapatkan hasil nilaip < 0.05, untuk variabel frekuensi buang air besar juga didapatkan hasilnilai p < 0.05 atau Ho ditolak artinya konsistensi feses dan frekuensi buang air besar sebelum dan sesudah diberikan susu bebas laktosa adaperbedaan (tidak sama).Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini, ada pengaruh  pemberian susu bebas laktosa terhadap konsistensi feses dan frekuensi buang air besar. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan masukan bagiRSU Anutapura Palu pada umumnya dan bagi perawat yang bertugas di ruang perawatan anak pada khususnya tentang pengelolaan diare akut pada anak khususnya dalam pemberian susu bebas laktosa melalui penyuluhan.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in this century also affects human health, with the demand for blood for humans increasing. The need for an efficient, fast and precise blood supply is one of the reasons that the blood donated is in accordance with the patient's blood. Therefore, the benefits of blood type examination such as being able to speed up identification for blood transfusion activities, selection of appropriate donors, and analysis of forensic cases. Clinical aspects that can be caused if there is an inappropriate donor selection can cause an immunological transfusion reaction, for example a blood group system that is not compatible with the patient. The implementation of this service is expected to produce outcomes such as the development of knowledge and understanding of the types of blood groups at the school level. The targets for this service are all students in grades 7, 8, 9 at the Integrated Islamic School (SIT) Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Tahfidzul Qur'an Azhar Center Makassar. The stages of service implementation consist of requesting permission, coordination between the Muhammadiyah Makassar Health Polytechnic and students and preparation of all facilities and infrastructure. The implementation of the activity consisted of checking blood types with a total of 55 students in grades 7, 8, 9 with an age distribution of 11 to 15 years. Based on the blood type examination, the results showed that from 55 participants with details of 21 men and 34 women, the blood types were A+, B+, AB+, O+ with a total of 15, 6, 5 and 29 participants, respectively. Thus it can be concluded that there are 27.27% of participants with blood type A, 10.9% blood type B, 9.09% blood group AB, and 52.73% blood group 0.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang dapat berdampak pada penurunan produktivitas sumber daya manusia, terutama pada kelompok umur dewasa ke usia lanjut pada seluruh status sosial ekonomi. Pemanfaatan tanaman obat masih banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat dan mengalami peningkatan, terlebih dengan munculnya isu kembali ke alam, sementara itu banyak masyarakat beranggapan bahwa penggunaan tanaman obat relatif lebih aman dibandingkan obat sintetis. Indonesia sebagai negara agraris memiliki potensi tumbuhan herbal yang dapat dikembangkan untuk terapi diabetes melitus. Potensi alam perlu dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk menciptakan jalur pengobatan mandiri, tentunya dengan bekal pemahaman terkait tanaman obat terlebih dahulu. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk mengedukasi dalam bentuk penyuluhan kepada masyarakat di sekitar Universitas Sawerigading mengenai gejala diabetes melitus dan pemanfaatan tanaman obat untuk mengatasinya. Metode penyuluhan yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi. Hasil dan kesimpulan pengabdian ini diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai gejala diabetes melitus dan pemanfaatan tanaman obat seperti dun sambiloto, daun salam dan belimbing wuluh untuk mengatasinya.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to enhance motivation, knowledge and skills about techniques of producing organic fertilizer from household waste by utilizing local microorganisms (MOL), which can replace agricultural chemicals. Training of using of bamboo shoots vegetable waste, as MOL in the manufacture of organic fertilizer, provides enlightenment in the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer, and encourages local community businesses independently. MOL contain micro and macro nutrients and bacteria that have the potential to decompose organic matter, stimulate plant growth and act as an activator or decomposer in composting. Organic fertilizers are fertilizers composed of living matter that is processed through a process of decomposition (decomposition) by decomposing bacteria. The method of this community service consists of three phase, namely: 1) the preparation phase, including counseling to the community of Bonto Kio Village, Kec. Minasate'ne, Kab. Pangkep on the using of MOL as liquid organic fertilizer from bamboo shoots vegetable waste; 2) the implementation phase, including direct practice of the material presented; and 3) question and answer or discussion on the use of MOL as organic fertilizer. The results show that this counseling and training success to enhance motivation the community and shows that their level of curiosity and interest in making liquid organic fertilizer using local microorganisms is quite high, such as to increase soil microbes which in turn maintain the fertility of their agricultural land. The community's understanding of the benefits of this activity is very large, as can be seen from the desire to independently make MOL-based organic fertilizers.

Abstract

One of the cosmetics that is widely used by the general public, especially women, is facial whitening. Some manufacturers are not responsible for using harmful substances such as mercury (Hg) is used as a skin whitening agent. It can damage organs over time and is also highly toxic. Mercury can be toxic in small amounts. Side effects start with skin discoloration, darkening, allergies and inflammation, high doses can cause permanent damage to the brain and kidneys as well as cause fetal damage. Short-term exposure to high doses can cause vomiting, diarrhea, lung damage and is a carcinogen. This community service activity is very important because the community needs to be protected from the circulation of cosmetics that do not meet the safety, benefit and quality requirements. Cosmetics containing heavy metals that exceed the requirements can harm and endanger public health. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of choosing safe cosmetics for mothers so that it is expected to have benefits for increasing knowledge and awareness about cosmetics, as well as mothers. -Mother has the will and ability to choose cosmetics that are safe for health. Participants were so enthusiastic in participating in the material delivery event, this was because there had never been any counseling related to the safe use of cosmetics. After participating in this outreach activity, participants are expected to understand cosmetic standards that are safe from harmful heavy metals such as mercury, choose good cosmetics, and know the shelf life and proper storage of cosmetics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan teknik analisa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil kuesioner dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket/kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kepemimpinan berpengaruh paling dominan terhadap Kinerja ASN, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik Kepemimpinan akan semakin meningkatkan Kinerja ASN pada Badan Keuangan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. 2) Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ASN, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik Lingkungan Kerja yang diikuti akan semakin meningkatkan Kinerja ASN pada Badan Keuangan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. 3) Secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kepuasan Kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja ASN, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik Kepuasan Kerja akan semakin meningkatkan Kinerja ASN pada Badan Keuangan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. 4) Secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa variabel Kepemimpinan, Lingkungan Kerja dan Kepuasan Kerja berpengaruh terhadap Kinerja ASN yang berarti bahwa peningkatan Kepemimpinan, Lingkungan Kerja dan Kepuasan Kerja akan mempengaruhi peningkatan Kinerja ASN Badan Keuangan Aset Daerah Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang sebesar 90,1% Keywords: Kepemimpinan, Lingkungan Kerja, Kepuasan Kerja dan Kinerja Aparatur Sipil Negara

Abstract

A farmer is someone who works in agriculture and is in direct contact with the soil every day without using personal protective equipment. Some farmers also use organic fertilizer as an additional fertilizer to fertilize plants. Coupled with personal hygiene and low environmental sanitation, these things are factors that cause infection with soil-transmitted helminth worms. The purpose of this study was to identify the eggs of intestinal nematodes of the STH class on the nails of farmers. This research was conducted by laboratory observation using the flotation research method. The object of this research is the nails of farmers in Kampuno Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency, with 30 samples. The results of the research conducted were that 2 samples (6.67%) were positive for STH worm eggs, namely hookworm, and 28 samples (93.3%) were negative; no STH worm eggs were found. So, it can be concluded that two samples of intestinal nematodes of the STH group were found on the nails of farmers.

Abstract

Pinang (Areca catechu L.) is one of the plants in the Palmae family. The practice of consuming betel nut has been a long-standing tradition among some Indonesian communities. The parts of the betel nut most commonly consumed are the seeds and the young fruit husk. The husk is often mixed with betel leaf and lime, and its benefits have traditionally been used for medicinal purposes. To assess the quality and nutritional value of this food ingredient, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of macronutrient content and antioxidant potential. The use of antioxidant compounds is becoming more widespread as public understanding of their role in inhibiting degenerative diseases and premature aging grows. It is known that betel nut husk contains numerous antioxidant compounds that operate by capturing free radicals. The objective of this research is to determine the macronutrient content through proximate analysis and the antioxidant activity (IC50) of betel nut husk. Proximate analysis includes total water content (determined using thermogravimetry), total ash content (via dry ashing), total protein content (measured using the Kjeldahl method), total fat content (via Soxhlet extraction), carbohydrate content, and crude fiber content. The results obtained indicate a total water content of 9.10%, total ash content of 4.36%, total protein content of 5.92%, total fat content of 0.83%, carbohydrate content of 79.8%, and crude fiber content of 49.57%. Meanwhile, the antioxidant activity value (IC50) of the methanol fraction is 45.27 µg/mL. These test results show that the methanol extract from betel nut husk contains compounds with potential as antioxidants
