Abstract

On the road to Golden Indonesia in 2045, we must prepare to acquire the skills of the younger generation. Thariqah Akademik is a prototype for harnessing knowledge, skills, and attitudes through basic activities centered around three major programs. First, it promotes human knowledge in five major subjects: math, English proficiency, Arabic proficiency, and the Qur'an memorization and writing skill. The second is to sharpen our spiritual sense through religious activities, specially accustomed to Shalat Hajat. Third, environmental protection is promoted by leading them to a healthy life and promoting the conservation of society and nature in a balanced manner. The study was conducted in a qualitative way to get an accurate picture of what was happening around the subject. This study intentionally chose both observation and interview as the tool and means of this research. The findings are mentioned as a shown list below: 1. Changes in students' opinions about the future, 2. Building ideas to deepen understanding of the above majors. 3. focus on the country's priority areas and catching opportunities for future prospects.

Abstract

Madurese traditional cuisine is one of the developing cultures and has become a symbol of each region. Culinary may be the main attraction for others. In other words, culinary tourism is a tourist activity that highlights the characteristics or culinary delights as a tourist attraction. A typical food serves as a sign of an area and can distinguish its existence from other regions. Therefore, the researcher hopes to study the development of Madura's traditional culinary as a cultural heritage and tradition in more depth. Culinary existence has touched all aspects of life and is the cornerstone of every economy, marking social differences, boundaries, ties and contradictions. The interesting thing about food is the changing discourse about food itself. Changes in discourse that arise as a result of shifting views about food as a practical issue into an aesthetic problem. This study aims to explain concepts and solutions regarding culinary development on Madura Island as a cultural heritage and tradition with a focus on efforts to improve the culinary existence of Madura in the current era, thus making Madura as an island rich in its characteristics. culinary field so as to be able to compete at the international level. national and international. This effort will ultimately encourage the improvement of the quality of human resources on the island of Madura through Madura culinary entrepreneurship. This research will go through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation to obtain the desired data. Then this study uses the AGIL scheme from Talcott Parsons as the theoretical basis. Using primary and secondary data sources to support the completeness and validity of the data.

Abstract

Makassar as a metropolitan city, transportation is still a problem, especially public transportation for students. To reduce congestion and minimize the use of private vehicles by students, the Makassar City Transportation Service provides free school buses for students. This study aims to determine the quality of service and strategies for developing free school bus services in Makassar City. Data was collected through observation and distributing questionnaires with simple random sampling technique. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed the quality of free school bus services with tangible variables (62% in the low category), reliability (54% in the medium category), responses (73% in the high category), assurance (81% in the medium category). very high category) and empathy (77% in high category). Based on the SWOT results, the strategy for developing free school bus services is in quadrant I, namely a rapid growth strategy, by further optimizing the strengths and opportunities of free school buses in Makassar City by increasing the discipline and responsibility of officers through coaching and training, paying attention to the punctuality of leaving and returning home. schools, maintaining the validity of service information to students, maintaining free subsidies from the city government, reducing the use of private vehicles by students by increasing the fleet and school bus routes, increasing efforts to prevent congestion and orderly on roads and school areas as well as equipping facilities and infrastructure for comfort and convenience, school bus safety.
ANALYSIS OF FARMERS INTENTION TO IMPLEMENT GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES ON COCOA FARMS BY USING THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOUR

Abstract

The development of the concept of sustainable agriculture in the cocoa farming system is the conception of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on Cocoa. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence farmers' intentions to implement Good Agricultural Practices on cocoa in Bupon Sub District, Luwu Regency. Previous studies on the adoption of agricultural innovation often consider socio economic characteristics and overlook underlying psychological factors influencing farmers ‘intention. This study's framework is based on Ajzen's theory of planned behaviour (TPB) to evaluate variables antecedent to farmers' intention to implement Good Agricultural Practices on cocoa, such as attitude, subjective norm, knowledge, and perceived behaviour control. Using a self-administered questionnaire, a quantitative research approach was used to collect responses from 130 farmers from three villages in the Bupon Sub District of Luwu Regency. According to the findings, TPB antecedent variables: attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioural control have significant effect and positively correlated to the farmer’s intention to Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) on study area.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the impact and response to the apartheid system in shaping the collective trauma of African society through symbolic representations of suffering and social performativity through political action in “Amnesty” short story by Nadine Gordimer. This study used the cultural trauma theory by Jeffrey Alexander with descriptive qualitative method. The results of this research found that social suffering is symbolically represented with a humanist and theocentric images. Even so, the two seemingly different treatments are essentially the same suffering, disguised by social and cultural symbols. Then, as a response to this suffering, there was social performativy through the political actions of social agents carried out by the Labor Union. These actions occur after going through of socio-cultural processes such as gathering, organizing, rioting, speeches, demonstrations, and accommodating or representing pain as well as distributing social awareness to arrive at the point where the apartheid system is the cause of all forms of suffering they experience.

Abstract

Vocabulary is an indispensable part of language and it is importance for second language learners. Nowadays, however, researchers have realized that vocabulary is an important part of language learning and teaching, worthy of attention and research. This paper provides information on how Visual Mnemonic can be used as one of the best Technique to improve vocabulary learning, recall, and boost memory. This study was aimed to examine whether or not the use of Visual Mnemonic Technique effective in teaching vocabulary. The researcher epmloyed quasi experimental design by using non-equivalent control group design and took 2 classes in this research. The data were collected by using instrument with pre-test and post-test. The result of this research was analyzed by SPSS program. The final results of this study showed that, null hypothesis was rejected while the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Visual Mnemonic Technique effective and improved the storage of new information also help the students learn faster and recall better.

Abstract

Terong Traditional Market is one of the traditional markets located in the center of Makassar City. This traditional market is every day a busy market visited by the community, because this market sells various types of merchandise, so this traditional market produces waste every day. This study aims to determine by describing and analyzing the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and availability of facilities with the participation of traders in waste management at the Terong Traditional Market in Makassar City. This research is a is quantitative descriptive research to describe, explain, or summarize various conditions, situations, phenomena, or various research variables. The test results from the study are described by tables and the percentage values obtained by the Terong Traditional Market in Makassar City. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes and availability of facilities with the participation of traders in waste management at the Terong Traditional Market.

Abstract

The paper titled “The Headscarf Issue and Islamic Feminism in Orhan Pamuk’s Snow” shall attempt to explore and interpret Orhan Pamuk as Turkey’s most renowned and controversial writer who boldly expresses his voice regarding the socio-political reality of Turkish history with special reference to the novel Snow as an intriguing representation of Islamic Feminism. In Snow, the way the ‘headscarf girls’ resists against the government’s banning of wearing headscarves without even taking their consent which result in suicides of young girls are instances of the oppression and restraints put upon women’s rights to choose their way of life within patriarchal and religious realms. The notion of art and theatre as symbols of women’s road to freedom also plays a significant role in the novel. Hence, Snow is a microcosm of Turkey, its society, its politics and its Ottoman culture, caught between the East-West dichotomies and people struggling to find sense of one’s identity and belongingness. By engaging such concerns, Orhan Pamuk deconstructs the binaries of gender and emphasizes upon the unifying position of both East and West as metaphorical means for positive development and equality of all genders and between nations. The paper attempts to negotiate the way Orhan Pamuk debunks the Western misconception of Islamic women as mere victims of patriarchal fundamentalism that denies emancipatory modes of Western feminism but rather as being rebellious by committing suicides or participating in art and theatre as the most liberating means of exercising their individual will fearlessly against the so-called power structures.

Abstract

This investigation on the meeting point of islamic faith and Catholicism in fostering true religious moderation aims to discover a common ground in a normative and substantial manner in order to minimize disharmony in the relationship between adherents of Islam and those of Catholicism. The main research question to be explored is: What is the pattern of faith intersections that lies underneath Islam and Catholicism in cultivating true religious moderation? The exploration is a genuine library research with a descriptive-analytical structure. The method employed in this inquiry is manuscript review, which is conducted in arational theological approach. The theoretical framework used is mainly related to the theory of inclusiveness. On the whole, this research is qualitative in nature, focusing on a comparative analysis of the concept of faith intersection between Islam and Catholicism. The results of this study indicate that first, the encounter of faith is exoteric in nature, wherein they share belief inthe six pillars of faith. Second, the two religions also have esoteric and historical encounters. Third, the intersection of faith between Islam and Catholicism lies on their mission as religionsof salvation. Both religions believe in the same doctrine of the Oneness of God as the Authority above all beings, granting salvation to whomever He wills. Fourth, to create true religious moderation, all religious adherents from both Muslim and Catholic circles, starting from the congregation to religious leaders, are expected to hold pluralistic religious viewpoints, esoteric theological outlook, and synchronistic sociological attitudes in fostering harmony in living together so as to develop a safe and peaceful religious as well as national life,which is filled with tolerance on the basis of love.
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING WHATSAPP MEDIA IN THE TEACHING OF VOCABULARY TO THE SECONDGRADE STUDENT OF SMAN 1 MADAPANGGA

Abstract

This research aims at finding out whether there is a significant difference or not on the students’ vocabulary mastery through WhatsApp media and their response in implementing WhatsApp media to the second-grade student of SMAN 1 Madapangga. The method of this research was a pre-experimental research with one-group pretestposttest design. The population of this research was the second-grade student of SMAN 1 Madapangga. The total population were 184 students while the sample of this research were 30 students taken by applying simple random sampling technique. For the instrument, it used test (pre-test and post-test) and questionnare.The collected data was analized using scoring classification; mean score and t-test. The mean score of pre-test was 68.90 with standar deviation 14.45 while the mean score of post-test was 82.33 with standar deviation 5.97. Then the value of t-test was bigger than t-table (3.821>2.100). While for Students’ response in implementing WhatsApp media, it showed that most of them felt that WhatsApp media gave good impact to them such as they felt fun and more actively involved in learning vocabulary through WhatsApp media. Based on the results above, the researcher concludes that WhatsApp media can improve students’ vocabulary mastery and it enhances students’ enthusiasm during learning vocabulary process to the second-grade student of SMAN 1 Madapangga.
