Abstract

This systematic literature review explores the coffee supply chain in West Sumatra, a region renowned for its strong agricultural heritage and substantial coffee production. The study aims to synthesize previous research and identify key factors influencing the supply chain stages—production, processing, marketing, and distribution. Using a structured methodology based on systematic review protocols, this research integrates findings from various academic sources to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The reviewed literature reveals both challenges and opportunities within the West Sumatran coffee supply chain. Major challenges include post-harvest quality management, limited market access, and low adoption of sustainable practices, all of which affect competitiveness. The findings highlight the importance of effective governance and stakeholder collaboration in improving operational efficiency and market adaptability. Additionally, technological innovation and digital marketing are recognized as crucial in transforming the supply chain, supporting smallholder farmers, and expanding market reach. Overall, this review underscores the complexity and significance of West Sumatra’s coffee supply chain, emphasizing the need for integrated, sustainable, and innovative strategies to strengthen resilience and global competitiveness.

Abstract

The alignment process using the laser method is one of the alignment techniques that can be applied to address misalignment. The laser method operates by utilizing an infrared laser sensor to perform the alignment between the driving object, in this case the induction motor, and the driven object, namely the spray washing pump. The alignment process aims to align the shaft of the driving object (the induction motor) with the shaft of the driven object (the spray washing pump), ensuring that both shafts are properly aligned. Misalignment refers to a condition in which there is a lack of alignment between the driving shaft and the driven shaft.

Abstract

This study presents the development of a solar-assisted smart home system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) that focuses on energy efficiency and hazard prevention as a contribution to sustainable living. The proposed system integrates renewable energy utilization with intelligent monitoring to reduce energy consumption and minimize carbon footprint. A Raspberry Pi microcontroller is employed as the central platform to coordinate multiple sensors, including a DHT11 sensor for temperature and humidity measurement, a gas sensor for leak detection, a vibration sensor for earthquake monitoring, and a PZEM-004T module for real-time energy consumption tracking. The system enables remote supervision and automated responses to environmental hazards while maintaining comfort and security for occupants. Experimental results demonstrate that the prototype enhances early warning capability for potential fire incidents and natural disasters, while significantly improving energy awareness through continuous monitoring. The integration of solar energy further supports the sustainability aspect, making the system a viable smart solution for greener and safer residential environments.

Abstract

Steel angles play a vital role in energy infrastructure, especially in latticed transmission towers where they act as axial compression members. Their structural performance is strongly influenced by end restraints, bolt configurations, and slenderness ratios, which affect buckling behavior and compression strength. This study examines how the number and arrangement of bolts, along with slenderness variations, impact the displacement and stress response of steel angles under compression using nonlinear analysis and finite element modeling. The investigation highlights that different bolt patterns and slenderness ratios significantly alter the stability and load-bearing capacity of the members. Single-row bolt configurations tend to experience greater slippage compared to multi-row setups, indicating the importance of connection design in preventing premature failures. Overall, the findings emphasize the need for optimized bolt arrangements and slenderness control to enhance resistance to buckling and improve the overall efficiency and reliability of energy infrastructure systems under axial compression loads.

Abstract

High peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is a major limitation of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), making it less suitable for achieving high spectrum efficiency in 5G networks. The impact of PAPR on spectrum efficiency and bit error rate (BER) is particularly critical. To address this challenge and enhance 5G performance, a spectrum-efficient cosine-modulated filter bank with tone companding method (CM-FBMC TCM) was developed and evaluated. Simulations were carried out in the MATLAB 2021 environment, with the CM-FBMC TCM model tested across three iterations. The baseline CM-FBMC exhibited a PAPR value of 16.9 dB, while the proposed CM-FBMC TCM achieved significant reductions: 7.3 dB in iteration 1, 3.8 dB in iteration 2, and 2.9 dB in iteration 3. In terms of error performance, CM-FBMC TCM reduced BER by approximately 50% compared to the conventional CM-FBMC. However, BER performance in iteration 3 deteriorated relative to iterations 1 and 2. Overall, the results indicate that CM-FBMC TCM IT3 achieved the lowest PAPR, approaching the ideal 3 dB range for multi-carrier signals in 5G systems. Nonetheless, this improvement in PAPR came at the cost of increased BER compared with earlier iterations, highlighting a trade-off between PAPR reduction and BER performance.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) presents multifactorial challenges in diagnosis, therapeutic delivery, and long-term care coordination. Informatics-driven therapeutic approaches including videogame-based interventions, extended reality (XR), and artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced systems have emerged as promising modalities to address the sensory, cognitive, and behavioral complexity of ASD. This systematic review consolidates findings from 34 peer-reviewed studies (2012–2025), emphasizing the role of Health Information Technology (Health IT) infrastructures in the design, interoperability, and clinical validation of digital therapeutics. Results demonstrate that 76% of the analyzed studies report statistically significant pre–post intervention improvements in social, motor, or cognitive performance. Technical architectures commonly rely on FHIR-based interoperability, SNOMED CT semantic encoding, and HIPAA/GDPR-compliant data pipelines. Limitations include data scarcity, lack of large-scale randomized trials, usability constraints, and incomplete EHR integration. The review concludes that scalable ASD care requires unified Health IT ecosystems embedding AI, serious gaming, and extended reality through secure, interoperable, and ethically governed informatics frameworks.

Abstract

In Surakarta City, high mobility is shown by 2023 vehicle registration data, where passenger cars and motorcycles made up 95,19% of all vehicles, while public transport units numbered only 354. In 2024, the city’s economy grew by 5,61%, led by the Information and Communication sector. However, transportation did not contribute significantly, even though efficient public transport is crucial for sustainable urban growth. This study aims to recommend suitable public transportation modes for Surakarta that address mobility challenges and support integrates transportation ergonomics focusing on convenient, safety, accessibility and inclusivity into the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to evaluate alternatives. Using a validated and reliable questionnaire distributed through purposive sampling, the study assessed several modes. The TOPSIS results show closeness coefficients of 0,847 for Batik Solo Trans (BST), 0,649 for taxis and motorcycle taxis, 0,593 for feeder minibuses, and 0,152 for pedicabs. BST emerged as the most suitable mode, offering potential to enhance mobility, streamline logistics, and attract investment. The findings highlight the importance of ergonomics-based transport policies that improve user experience and encourage a shift from private to public transportation, strengthening Surakarta’s economic resilience.
