Abstract

Pati batang kelapa sawit yang telah dimodifikasi berpotensi dijadikan edible film. Tapioka ditambahkan sebagai campuran untuk meningkatkan sifat fisik edible film. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui karakteristik fisik edible film berbahan baku pati batang kelapa sawit termodifikasi dan tapioka serta menentukan rasio terbaik untuk menghasilkan edible film. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Non Faktorial digunakan sebagai desain penelitian dengan perlakuan rasio bobot pati batang kelapa sawit termodifikasi dan tapioka. Rasio bobot yang digunakan adalah 1:3, 1:1, 3:1 (b/b). Parameter yang diamati adalah ketebalan, pemanjangan saat putus dan kekuatan tarik edible film. Hasil uji ANOVA pada taraf 5% didapatkan bahwa rasio bobot pati batang kelapa sawit termodifikasi dan tapioka berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter kekuatan tarik, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap parameter ketebalan dan pemanjangan saat putus edible film. Perlakuan 1:3 (b/b) merupakan perlakuan terbaik untuk menghasilkan edible film dengan karakteristik fisik antara lain ketebalan 0.15 mm, pemanjangan saat putus 23.00%, dan kekuatan tarik 6.07 MPa.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini mengeksplorasi potensi produksi pakan mandiri untuk budidaya ikan patin (Pangasius sp.) di Desa Ranah Baru, Kecamatan Kampar, Kabupaten Kampar. Ikan patin adalah salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi di Indonesia. Namun, petani ikan patin di Desa Ranah Baru menghadapi tantangan dalam pasokan pakan. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan melaksanakan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berfokus pada produksi pakan mandiri. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa produksi pakan mandiri menggunakan bahan-bahan lokal seperti dedak dan limbah ikan dapat menghasilkan pakan berkualitas tinggi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan ikan patin. Pakan yang dihasilkan telah terbukti efektif dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ikan patin. Selain manfaat nutrisi, program produksi pakan mandiri ini juga memiliki implikasi ekonomi yang signifikan, membantu petani mengurangi biaya pengadaan pakan komersial dan meningkatkan pendapatan mereka. Program produksi pakan mandiri diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat Desa Ranah Baru, meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi petani, serta memberikan kontribusi positif pada sektor perikanan lokal.

Abstract

The role of the players in the supply chain is very significant in delivering products to consumers. As producers, the role of coffee farmers is equally crucial in improving the efficiency of the supply chain. The structure of the coffee supply chain in the research area starts with farmers, wholesalers, and consumers (exporters). The purpose of this study is to examine the structure of the coffee bean marketing chain considering the position of farmers in increasing profit margins. The focus of this research is on robusta coffee, grown in the Jambi Province as one of the coffee producers in Indonesia. The research phases analyze the structure of the supply chain and formulate a mathematical model to see the profit margins obtained by each actor in the supply chain. The results of the profit margin analysis show that farmers can make stable profits if they maintain good partnerships and thus can maintain the quality of production by consumer demand.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the status of palm sugar supply chain in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province through an approach Food Supply Chain Network. The focus of the study was palm sugar production in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province. The research method is carried out in a purposive sampling,The data types used are primary data and secondary data. The study phase analyzed the palm sugar supply chain in Rambah Tengah Barat Village, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Province through an approach Food Supply Chain Network starting from looking at supply chain objectives, existing supply chain structure, business processes down to resources in the brown sugar supply chain. The results show that the distribution model of the supply chain starts from farmers, collectors, retailers, stores and end consumers. Institutional strengthening among farmers is needed by forming groups of asphalt farmers to produce jaggery that can satisfy consumer demand. Production capacity is very limited and the use of technology is simple.

Abstract

Penyuluhan mengenai pembuatan pupuk kompos cair memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap praktik pertanian berkelanjutan. Tulisan ini membahas hasil dari kegiatan penyuluhan pembuatan pupuk kompos cair di Desa Binuang Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Metode penyuluhan yang digunakan meliputi pemberian materi, demonstrasi praktik, dan diskusi interaktif dengan masyarakat. Hasil dari penyuluhan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pembuatan pupuk kompos cair, serta dampak positifnya terhadap lingkungan dan pertanian lokal.

Abstract

The community service activities are aimed at providing training and support for branding of packaging as well as socialization of PIRT licenses for the entrepreneurs of nisan and oluo products which are local food products of the village of Pulau Belimbing, Kuok district of Kampar. The packaging process begins with the socialization of packaging, the selection of the right packaging for nisan and oluo products as well as the design of product packaging. The socialization of products through social media is followed by the socialisation of PIRT licenses for nisan and oluo products. The public service activities have been carried out well according to the indicators of availability that socialization participants are enthusiastic about the support given and actively ask about the socialization material given. This accompaniment and socialization provides benefits for participants to be applied so that it can enhance product development and reach broader marketing.

Abstract

Pati batang kelapa sawit yang dimodifikasi dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan baku dalam pembuatan edible film. Edible film dimodifikasi dengan penambahan ekstrak buah senduduk sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bioindikator perubahan pH dalam pengemasan produk pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari karakteristik edible film yang dihasilkan, mendapatkan konsentrasi ekstrak buah senduduk yang optimum dan mempelajari pengaruh variasi pH terhadap perubahan warna edible film. Perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak buah senduduk yang digunakan yaitu 5%, 10%, dan 15% (v/v dari larutan edible film). Karakteristik edible film yang diuji, meliputi: ketebalan (thickness), kekuatan tarik (tensile strength), pemanjangan saat putus (elongation at break) dan perubahan warna pada larutan pH 1 – 12. Berdasarkan hasil uji ANOVA pada taraf 5% didapatkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak buah senduduk mempengaruhi parameter kekuatan tarik, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap parameter ketebalan dan pemanjangan saat putus. Perlakuan konsentrasi 5% (v/v) merupakan perlakuan terbaik yang menghasilkan ketebalan 0,195 mm; kekuatan tarik 6,22 Mpa; dan pemanjangan saat putus 25,00%. Perlakuan konsentrasi 5% (v/v) juga menunjukkan perubahan warna yang baik sesuai pH larutan yang diujikan.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dari plastik biodegradable berbahan dasar pati bonggol pisang dengan selulosa jerami. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Pada penelitian ini melakukan penambahan selulosa jerami dengan perbandingan pati dan selulosa 1:0; 1:0,5 ; 1:1 dan 1:1,5. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap kuat tarik, perpanjangan putus, biodegradasi, pengembangan dan laju transmisi uap air. Data dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan analysis of variance (ANOVA). Penambahan selulosa jerami berpengaruh terhadap pembuatan plastik biodegradable. Hasilnya adalah plastik biodegradable meningkatkan kekuatan tarik, mengurangi perpanjangan putus, meningkatkan biodegradasi dan hambatan udara, mengurangi laju transmisi uap air. Plastik biodegradabel dengan perlakuan terbaik adalah rasio perbandingan pati pati 1 : 1,5 selulosa. Plastik biodegrabable hasil terbaik memiliki nilai kekuatan tarik 9,56 MPa, perpanjangan 6,8%, biodegradasi lengkap pada hari ke 6, pembengkakan 41,51% dan WVTR 0,0156%.

Abstract

Quail farming business is one of the potential businesses as the population increases and public awareness of the need for daily animal protein sources that are easy to get at affordable prices compared to other poultry meat. The objectives of this study are to find out the feasibility of Mr. Agung Wibowo's quail farming business in Kerumutan District based on market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, environmental aspects and financial aspects. Data collection is carried out by means of field surveys, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The result of this research is that the quail farming business owned by Mr. Agung Wibowo in Kerumutan District is worthy of continuing. Based on market and marketing aspects, it is feasible because it has segmentation, clear targeting and market position, and a selling price that is quite competitive compared to other poultry meat prices and has a marketing strategy with a marketing mix. From the technical aspect, it is feasible because it has all the necessary facilities and equipment and have a clear production cycle and business location. From the environmental aspect, it is feasible because of the environmental impact management. Based on the results of the calculation, the financial aspect is declared feasible. Where the R/C Ratio value > out of 1, which is 1.5. The value of the π/C Ratio is 0.57% higher than the value of the BRI Simpedes savings interest rate of 0.25%. Production BEP Value < Production Amount and BEP Value Price < Selling Price per Head. From the results of the calculation of the Production BEP Value is 3,312 heads. So 3,312 Heads < 5,162 Heads and the result of calculating the BEP Price Value is Rp. 3,011. Then Rp. 3,011 < Rp. 5,500.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the basic necessities in all households in Indonesia. This commodity must always be available because cooking oil is used to process daily food such as frying and stir-frying. The use of cooking oil in household needs is high because it is commonly used for frying. People in Karya Indah Village often use cooking oil repeatedly for frying. The consumable cooking oil is usually disposed of immediately and no further processing is carried out. The immediate environmental impact is the blockage of waterways and the potential for soil pollution. For this reason, it is necessary to make an innovation to used cooking oil that does not pollute the environment when disposed of and has economic value in the community. Community Partnership Empowerment (PKM) activities were carried out in Perum. Gravindo 1, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau. This activity was attended by 10 housewife partners, 3 lecturers and 2 students. This activity consists of three stages, namely the first stage of demonstration of how to refine used cooking oil, the second stage of socialization to residents and the third stage of making dish soap. The resulting product is in the form of dish soap with the use of used cooking oil in its manufacture. This training received a positive response and provided knowledge and skills benefits to housewife partners. The dish soap that has been made can be applied to clean dirt on dishes.
