Abstract

The Sterilizer Station at PT X Nagan Raya is a company facility that requires regular maintenance by the maintenance department to ensure its smooth operation. This facility has potential hazards that need to be analyzed in detail. This study aims to evaluate each potential hazard associated with the maintenance department's work programs at the Sterilizer Station using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method, where these potential hazards will be evaluated for the associated risk levels, namely low risk, medium risk, high risk, and extreme risk. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive design. Data was collected from the maintenance department's work program for the July-December 2023 period at the Sterilizer Station through direct observation and interviews using the JSA form. The informants in this study were 6 informants consisting of maintenance employees, maintenance assistants, HSE officers and Assistant Mill Managers. The results of this study state that there are several potential hazards that can occur during the implementation of the maintenance department work program, such as the danger of falling on work equipment, slipping, electric shock, exposed to sparks, exposed to mesingerinda, iron cutters and electric welding machines. Based on the JSA analysis, several risk control measures are suggested, such as the use of appropriate and correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), routine maintenance of equipment, monitoring of the work program.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS causes health problems in the world, resulting in death. HIV/AIDS sufferers require long-term treatment from health services. Nursing students are part of health services. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample was determined using a total sampling technique and obtained 230 respondents. Data collection used the HIV Knowledge Questionnaire 45 (HIV-KQ-45). Data were analyzed univariately to see the frequency distribution of the research variables. The data was analyzed univariately to observe the frequency distribution of the research variables. The research results showed that most nursing students' knowledge about HIV/AIDS was in the sufficient category (66.5%) and the least in the good category (14.8%). From the results obtained, it was concluded that the majority of nursing students' knowledge about HIV/AIDS was in the sufficient category and the minority was in the good category. This shows that students' knowledge about HIV/AIDS is still inadequate. It is necessary to prepare prospective nurses starting during education to avoid a lack of knowledge in the hope of improving services to HIV/AIDS sufferers as much as possible in the future.

Abstract

Malaria is one of Indonesia's public health problems. It is crucial to conduct research on alternative malaria prevention methods. Using mosquito nets while sleeping is one way to reduce mosquito bites. This study aims to determine whether the prevalence of malaria in Lumoli Village, West Seram Regency, is influenced by the use of mosquito nets. This study's design was cross-sectional. The study focused on the three hundred houses that comprise Lumoli Village as a whole. There was no significant correlation between malaria and the use of mosquito nets, based on the results of statistical tests at p > 0.05 and p = 1,000. The incidence of malaria in Lumoli Village, West Seram Regency, was statistically unrelated to the use of mosquito nets.

Abstract

A lack of erythrocytes (red blood cells) in the blood which causes a lack of oxygen in the tissues is a body condition called anemia. Anemia pregnancy is very dangerous for the mother and fetus, because it can result in abortion, bleeding, premature birth, fetal growth retardation and infection. This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The research subjects in this case study were pregnant women who experienced mild anemia in the Labuapi Health Center working area. This case describes obstetrical care in a pregnancy with anemia. The results of this case study, there was an enhancement in hemoglobin in pregnant women who were given prenatal care for 2 weeks. At the initial visit the respondent's hemoglobin (Hb) was 10.3 gr/dl. On the second visit hemoglobin (Hb) increased by 10.9 gr/dl and on the third visit the respondent's Hb became 11.2 gr/dl. Providing comprehensive care to pregnant women with anemia for 2 weeks can increase Hb in respondents. The care provided includes counseling about anemia in pregnancy, providing IEC on how to increase Hb by encouraging mothers not to stay up late, consuming a balanced nutritional intake high in iron and giving 2 FE tablets per day. The conclusion of this study is that there was an enhancement in hemoglobin from 10.3 gr/dl to 11.2 gr/dl after being given midwifery care to pregnant women with anemia for 2 (two) weeks

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one of the health problems that contributes to the largest number of deaths in the world which is defined as an abnormal condition of the heart and blood vessels, one of which is coronary heart disease (CHD). This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing whether there is an effect of Health Education through Audiovisual on Client Knowledge about Coronary Heart Disease at the PTM Posbindu at the Tambelang Health Center UPTD, Bekasi Regency. The type of quantitative research used in this study is Quase Experimental Design with the One Group Pretest and Posttest approach. The location of the study was at the PTM Posbindu UPDT Tambelang Health Center, Bekasi Regency and was carried out in August 2024. Sampling was carried out using non-probability sampling using the purposive sampling method. The sample used was 21 PTM Posbindu clients. The questionnaire used was first tested for validity and reliability with Alpha Cronbach 0.742 which showed that this questionnaire could be used to measure knowledge about coronary heart disease. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon alternative test because the results of the ShapiroWilk normality test were not normally distributed

Abstract

Hypertension as a public health problem and identified as a major risk factor for morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases, especially stroke and chronic kidney disease and becomes an economic and social burden. One of the efforts to regulate diet patterns is very important in fulfilling nutrition as a hypertension controller. Lifestyle changes as one of the management of hypertension, therefore it is necessary to make efforts to help control hypertension by choosing a DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet pattern. This study was to determine changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension patients after implementing the DASH diet. The results of this study are expected to be used as a guideline for how important it is that the DASH diet is an effective action in controlling blood pressure in hypertension patients. The study used a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post study, namely providing education to hypertension patients and family members as companions using a leaflet model containing the DASH diet. The assessment was carried out after the first 6 days and the second 6 days to determine changes in blood pressure using a tensiometer. The results of the study showed a decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension patients after the intervention. The analysis of differences showed a significant difference in the average value of blood pressure reduction in those who followed the DASH diet. This study is in line with previous studies where the DASH Diet is quite effective in controlling high blood pressure (hypertension). Conclusion: The DASH Diet is a diet that has been recommended by WHO as a diet to control hypertension and has been proven to significantly lower blood pressure.
