Abstract

Wasil bin Atha 'was one of the pioneers of the Mu'tazilah (80-131 AD) writer who could not pronounce the letter Ra' well because of the plate/lisp. However, the drawback is that it can deliver beautiful and meaningful sermons. As for his famous sermon, he avoided the letter Ra '. Even without any preparation in his sermon he was able to deliver it well and clearly. Without the letter Ra 'in his sermon and without changing its meaning. In this study, the author uses one of the objects of the study of parrot science, namely looking at the beauty of majaz as an approach in discussing "al Majaz fii sermon Washil bin Atho' "al-Manzu'atu al-Ra"". One of the privileges of Washil bin Atho's sermon "al-Manzu'atu al-Ra'" has a balaghoh element, especially in the science of bayan, namely majaz, besides that it has a good uslub arrangement, and there are quotes from the verses of the Qur'an.

Abstract

One of the modern Arabic literary figures who wrote many drama scripts is Taufiq al-Hakim. The beauty, and uniqueness of the drama script he produced made researchers interested in researching one of his dramas entitled Soft Hands or Al-Aydi an-Na'imah. This research was written to analyze the intrinsic elements in the drama script Al-Aydi an-Na'imah by Taufiq Al-hakim. The object of this research is the drama script Al-Aydi an-Na'imah then this object is examined by qualitative descriptive research methods, qualitative research is observative and usually, the data presented is in the form of words.

Abstract

Modern Arabic literature owns its development to the works of Naguib Mahfouz during the five decades of his writing career. Mahfouz brings together various ancient Egyptian tales and prophetic stories into 1950s Egypt. The story that Mahfouz builds in his novels echoes the author's childhood story as well as various other stories. This article aims to explore to what extends the novel echoes the prophetic stories as well as the author’s childhood experiences. The researcher employs intextuality to meet the objective of this study. The findings reveal that Mahfouz adopt and paraphrase various events and figures from Al-Quran and the Bible then put those events and figures into a new context in Awl?d H?ratina Indonesian Edition #3 (Rifa’at Sang Penebus). Besides, Mahfouz portrays the novel’s setting as the reflection of his childhood residence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui urgensi konteks dalam analisis makna dan pandangan para ahli linguistik baik klasik maupun modern tentang teori kontekstual serta perannya dalam studi makna. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa konteks memiliki pengaruh sangat penting terhadap makna. Tanpa memerhatikan konteks maka mustahil menghasilkan makna yang benar. Pandangan mengenai konteks telah dipaparkan oleh banyak ilmuan bahasa sejak dulu, baik di timur maupun barat. Mereka diantaranya yaitu, Tamam Hasan, Akhmad Mukhtar Umar, Kamal Bashr, Malinowski, J.R. Firth, K. Amer dan H.D Hidayat. Semuanya sepakat bahwa konteks merupakan hal yang urgent dalam menyibak makna kata atau ujaran. Kata yang berada di luar konteks belum memenuhi syarat untuk memiliki makna.

Abstract

In this thesis there is an explanation of i'lal, its types and their rules, from various types and rules the author uses a tool to analyze the Surah al-Furqān. The problems raised in this study are, 1) What are the verses that indicate i'lal in Surah al-Furqān? 2) what are the types of i'lal in surah al-Furqān? The approach in this study is the sharf discipline, especially in the discussion i'lāl While the method used is descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative is research that discusses, analyzes and classifies the i'lāl contained in the letter al-Furqān. Descriptive is to describe the results of these studies systematically about i'lāl in the letter al-Furqān. i'lāl is a change that occurs in the letters 'illat (alif, wawu, ya') and additional letters (hamzah), the changes are sometimes moved, discarded, replaced, and distributed. While the letter al-Furqān is a letter that is at number 25 out of a total of 114 ayah. As for the results of this study, 45 verses have been found that contain I'lāl. And in these verses 65 data were found which the writer then classified into 11 sections.

Abstract

Kisah Kalilah wa Dimnah merupakan kisah fabel berbingkai, dan salah satunya terselip kisah Ilaz Bilaz dan Irakh. Kisah tersebut sarat akan emosi yang dibangun di dalamnya sebagai sebuah cerminan karakter dan tokoh dengan berbagai macam aktivitas tingkah laku yang berinteksi dengan alam dan lingkungannya. Emosi adalah perwujudan psikologi yang muncul dalam diri manusia seperti marah, sedih, benci, senang, cinta, dan lain-lain. Emosi berhubungan dengan keadaan seseorang dan berpengaruh pada kejiwaannya. Melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dan membahas perasaan/emosi (athifah) yang terkandung dalam kisah Ilaz Bilaz dan Irakh karya Ibn al-Muqaffa’ yang menjadi bagian dari magnum opusnya, yaitu Kalilah wa Dimnah.

Abstract

القراءة لها دور مهم يتأثر في بناء شخصية الإنسان وتكوينه، لأن بالقراءة نستطيع أن نطور خزانة العلوم والمعلومات وترقية إتقان الفكر والتحليل. والقراءة هي أمر مهم في تعلم اللغة العربية ومشهورة بمهارة القراءة. لذلك تريد الباحثة أن تبحث عن تأثير الوسائل التعليمية "الجرائد العربية في الإنترنت" وتطبيقها في مادة القراءة. وباستخدام هذه الوسيلة التعليمية يشعر الطلبة سعداء ومهتمين لتعلم اللغة العربية ولا يشعرون بالملل في التعلم. تهدف هذا البحث لمعرفة (1) أنواع "الجرائد العربية في الإنترنت" التي تُطبق في مادة القراءة لدى طلبة شعبة تعليم اللغة العربية في المستوى الثاني بجامعة سونن أمبيل الإسلامية الحكومية سورابايا السنة الدراسية 2016-2017، و(2) كفاءة طلبة شعبة تعليم اللغة العربية في المستوى الثاني بجامعة سونن أمبيل الإسلامية الحكومية سورابايا السنة الدراسية 2016-2017 في مهارة القراءة، و(3) تأثير الجرائد العربية في الإنترنت لترقية مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة شعبة تعليم اللغة العربية بجامعة سونن أمبيل الإسلامية الحكومية سورابايا السنة الدراسية 2016-2017.

Abstract

Stilistika merupakan disiplin ilmu modern yang hadir untuk memenuhi kebutuhan linguistik dan sastra. Meski terkesan modern, namun embrio dari stilistika Arab telah ada sejak zaman dulu. Sebagaimana ilmu-ilmu yang lain, stilistika juga tidak terlepas dari ilmu-ilmu kebahasaan yang lain. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengupas istilah-istilah yang berkaitan erat dengan stilistika Arab, seperti uslūb, ‘ilm al-uslūb, dan uslūbiyyah. Selain itu artikel ini juga mengungkap hubungan antara stilistika Arab dengan ilmu-ilmu yang lain, seperti balagah, linguistik (‘ilm al-lugah), dan kritik sastra (al-naqd al-adabī). Artikel ini merupakan hasil kajian kepustakaan yang menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil dari kajian ini menemukan bahwa uslūb dapat dipamahi sebagai gaya bahasa, sedangkan ‘ilm al-uslūb dan uslūbiyyah bisa dipahami sebagai stilistika Arab. Mayoritas linguis tidak membedakan anatara ‘ilm al-uslūb dan uslūbiyyah. Stilistika Arab memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan ilmu-ilmu yang lain, seperti balagah, linguistik, dan kritik sastra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana bentuk keindahan syair modern karya Mahmud Sami Al-Barudi yang merupakan salah seorang tokoh penyair terkemuka pada masa modern. Dalam hal ini, Al-Barudi banyak membuat syair dengan berbagai macam qafiyah huruf hijaiyah, salah satunya adalah huruf hijaiyah ‘ain yang akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka dengan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun data dan sumber datanya adalah kata atau pun kalimat yang merupakan syair dari Mahmud Sami Al-Barudi. Dalam penelitian ini akan membahas secara terperinci bagaimana bentuk keindahan syair dari Mahmud Sami Al-Barudi yang berqafiyahkan huruf ‘ain. Adapun bentuk keindahan yang akan dikaji adalah dari segi tema, emosi (‘Athifah), imajinasi (Khayāl), gaya bahasa, ‘arudl, diksi atau pemilihan kata, dan amanat.

Abstract

The emergence of Muslim immigrants’ centuries ago, to be specific Arab-Hadrami descendants and it networks, plays significant role to express Islamic practices. The practices of Hadrami descendant in kampong (hamlet) Arab Surabaya closely related to their respect toward local inhabitants. It is usually expressed through their language and its manners. Besides, their interaction with local people imposes them to switch speaking in Indonesian, Javanese, and Maduranese. They used two languages (bilingualism) or more (multilingualism) in an everyday conversation. Interestingly, they attempt to practice and maintain Arabic to show their identity as holy people relate to their claim that they trace their descent to the Prophet Muhammad. The objective of research is describing relationship between language and culture that implicates into daily language practices in Arab community, particularly in kampong Arab Ampel Surabaya. The researcher uses archival or documentary method to search the various languages and ethnography method to describe and explore daily language of native.  This paper reveals that the daily practices of Arabic code emphasize their identity individually or socially and defend their language in social multilingualism. In addition, fushah language or high level of Arabic language is used only in formal situation. However, most of them is using low level of Arabic language called ‘Amiyah in non formal situation both in public or private sphere.
