Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of understanding and appreciation of the students of Junior High School of Stella Duce II grade 8th Yogyakarta on the meaning of Christ's presence in the Eucharist. The author assumes that the Eucharist as the pinnacle and source of Christian life should be a pattern of life and should permeate every Catholic. It must be admitted that in general people of all age groups are diligent in following the Eucharist. From the age group that participates in the Eucharist, the author is interested in conducting research on the adolescent age group, specifically for junior high school students. The object of the author's research is addressed to the students of Junior High School of Stella Duce II grade 8th who become acolytes and lectors. The main issue discussed is how the Catholic youth Stella Duce II Junior High School of grade 8th who are assigned to be acolytes and lectors know, feel, and experience the presence of Christ in their duties and participation in the celebration of the Eucharist. In this study, the authors used quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1)Bagaimana peran Guru PAK dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti Kelas XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Serawai? 2) Apa faktor yang memengaruhi motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Serawai? Peneliti menggunakan Bentuk penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif agar peneliti dapat mendeskripsikan secara menyeluruh dan mendalam mengenai fakta-fakta yang tampak berkaitan dengan “Peran guru Agama Katolik Dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas XI IIS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Serawai”. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, delapan orang peserta didik dan kepala sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Serawai. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan upaya penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan utama dalam penelitian ini bahwa guru pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti telah melaksanakan perannya dengan memberi angka, memberi hadiah berupa pujian, menciptakan persaingan, menciptakan keterlibatan, memberi ulangan, menyampaikan hasil, memberi hukuman dan menumbuhkan hasrat dan minat. Temuan lain yaitu faktor yang memengaruhi motivasi belajar peserta didik adalah Kesehatan fisik, keinginan untuk maju, gangguan emosional, sikap guru dan sarana prasarana dan faktor yang paling dominal memengaruhi motivasi belajar peserta didik adalah sikap guru

Abstract

The focus of this research examines the concept of character education of children in the family highlighted from the apostolic letter of Amoris Laetitia. The topic of the study related to character education contained in "Amoris Laetitia" would be very helpful for families in educating children to have more character and be more humane. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative methods and critical reading of the text, namely: (1) Apostolic Letter "Amoris Laetitia" art. 274-279; (2) books related to children's character education; (3) Articles that concentrate on the study of Catholic religious education and the character of children. The findings in this study that character education is a form of human activity in which there is an action that educates and is intended for the next generation. Character education aims to form self-improvement in order to lead to a better life.

Abstract

Sekolah adalah salah satu institusi paling populer di kalangan orang tua dan siswa. Di sekolah, anak-anak diajarkan apa yang disebut pendidikan. Pada UUD No.20 Tahun 2003, pendidikan adalah usaha yang terencana dan sadar untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agama peserta didik dapat secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya dalam hal kekuatan spiritual, moral, kepribadian, pengendalian diri, intelektual, dan ketrampilan yang diperlukan bagi diri, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara. Pelajaran Agama Katolik di sekolah dasar membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan untuk memperkuat keimanan dan ketaqwaannya kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa sesuai dengan ajaran Gereja Katolik. Terlebih khusus pada penelitian kali ini untuk meningkatkan potensi prestasi siswa dalam pengaruh pembelajaran aktif siswa kelas v. Pembelajaran aktif merupakan suatu pendekatan yang dilakukan dengan cara yang tepat dengan melibatkan seluruh siswa dalam pembelajaran seperti rajin bertanya, memperhatikan dengan baik, bisa menjawab pertanyaan yang dilontarkan oleh guru, memenuhi tugas dari guru dan juga dapat mengemukakan pendapat dalam diskusi. Dalam pembelajaran aktif ini membantu siswa untuk menunjukkan potensinya lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan teknik observasi partisipasi. Dalam teknik penelitian ini mau mencari pengaruh apa saja yang terjadi dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dalam pembelajaran aktif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama masa praktek ngajar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan pembelajaran aktif prestasi siswa meningkat dan mulai aktif dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The focus of this research examines "Implementation of Christian educational values and the responsibility of the laity for the development of priestly vocations among young people". Attention to priesthood vocations among young people requires concrete steps. Unity in concrete action is very necessary. Efforts that can and may be made such as fellowships and services to grow the priesthood towards the values and vocation of life as priests, among young Catholics. This paper aims to describe and analyze the involvement of the laity in the development of priestly vocations among young people. The author uses a descriptive qualitative method which produces data in the form of words and written or spoken from the people and the observed behavior. As for the findings of this paper, that the participation of the laity in developing priestly vocations among young people is evident in parish life. The genuine attention and openness of the people towards priestly vocations among young Catholics will be felt by those who have directed themselves to a life as priests.

Abstract

The duties and roles of the teacher are a unified whole. It's just that sometimes the tasks and functions are equated as an elaboration of roles. The role of the teacher includes: educating, guiding, training, advising, reforming, being a model and role model, having personality, researcher, encouraging creativity, arousing views, doing routine work, moving camps, telling stories, being an actor, emancipator, preserving, as a culminator , and evaluate. The role of the teacher in educational development includes: inculcating values, building character, central to learning, providing assistance and encouragement, supervising and coaching, disciplining children, and being a role model for the environment. This research raises questions such as; What can influence the learning motivation of class VIII students of SMP Wulandoni to study? What is the strategy used by the teacher to increase the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Wulandoni? The aims of this study were: to describe the influence of the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Wulandoni and to describe the role of the teacher in increasing the learning motivation of class VIII students at SMP Wuladoni. The type of research used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The descriptive research used in this study is intended to describe the teacher's role in increasing learning motivation in class VIII students of SMP Wulandoni. The results of the research showed that the things that can affect the learning motivation of class VIII students at Wulandoni Middle School and the role of the teacher in increasing student learning motivation is by using interesting learning media, choosing the right learning method, and creating competition and student cooperation. The results of this study can be concluded that there are some students who have an intention in learning, so that the strategy carried out by the teacher is quite advanced.

This study aims to identify the role of teachers and parents in online learning of elementary scholl students as a result of the COVID1- pandemic. Learningcarried out in elementary schools dooring  a pandemic uses online learning throung active at home parental guidance and teachers as innovative online learning materials, so online learning at home students feel happy, have time flexibility to study, can study anytime and anywhere with direction. From the teacher and direct guidance by parents. The role of teachers and parents is very important in online learning. The method used is qualitative research.

Abstract

Abtract The writing this article discusses the application of Behavioristic theory in teaching Catholism to shape the character of students in elementary schools. The subject matter in writing this article is about Behavioristic learning theory in shaping student character. The purpose of writing this article is to find out and describe the application of Behavioristic theory in teaching Catholism in elementary schools. Behavioristic theory is a concept of educational psychology in the form of an approach taken by teachers of students. This approach can provide a good stimulus to students. Behavioristic is actually a theory that emphasizes attitudes and changes in behavior as a result of a person’s concrete experience, especially for students. With the implementation of Behavioristic theory, the learning process in elementary schools, especially in Chatolic religious subject, does not make students feel bored and bored in class. In addition, the method used by the author in writing this article is though the method of literature study where each source is taken from journals, books, and notes related to Behavioristic theory. From the result of writing this article, the authors conclude that the application of Behavioristic learning theory in teaching Catholism in elementary schools is one of the benchmarks in developing good attitudes of spirituality and character for students, so that the learning process does not make students become passive.

Abstract

Education is the formation of character. Teachers have an important role in forming the basic character of students from an early age. Student knowledge and understanding of a material does not make students proficient in everyday life. Mastery of good skills and attitudes is an indicator of the success of a lesson as well as the success of educational goals. Teachers with good character have the opportunity to produce students with better character. Mastery of the method, and mastery of the substance of the material alone is not enough for the teacher. Being a human teacher and having compassion for his students as well as being an ethical mentor are important steps that a teacher must have to produce students with good character. This study aims to see (1) how the teacher's role as a model in the formation of student character, (2) how the challenges faced by the teacher as a model in the formation of student character. The method used in this study is a qualitative description in the form of literature studies, the internet. The results of this study indicate that teachers have complex duties and responsibilities towards achieving educational goals, teachers are not only required to master the knowledge to be taught, have knowledge and teaching skills, teachers are also required to have morals, character and personality that can be role models for students. The character values embedded in the teacher's role are religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard work, creative, and responsible. This is in accordance with the character values according to the Government in the Research and Development agency, the Curriculum Center of the Ministry of National Education.
