Abstract

This study aims to determine the concept of charitable motivation based on the Quran and hadith. This article uses a qualitative approach with the reivew literature method, which is a study conducted by analyzing various relevant sources including articles, books, and other documents. Research data collection is carried out through scientific articles published through Google Scholar. The articles used are articles published in the 2015–2024-time interval. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively by assuming data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Hasl data analysis shows that doing good deeds is not only in the form of material, but we can also do charity using what we have such as science or helping others who have both energy and mind, in doing charity must be based on sincere intentions and only hope for pleasure from Allah alone. A sincere person will not get any losses. In fact, sincerity can provide peace of mind, so that the heart is airy and peaceful. It is because his heart is only focused on one goal, which is the pleasure of Allah. The Qur'an and Hadith are the two main sources that motivate Muslims to do charity. The benefits of charity can not only be felt when we are in the world but also in the hereafter. The charity that we can do also varies from charity to others or charity to Allah SWT such as worshiping and avoiding all His prohibitions

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between vocabulary learning strategies and vocabulary mastery. A questionnaire was distributed to students of class VIII A, B, C and D of SMP Advent Airmadidi to determine the level of use of vocabulary learning strategies and vocabulary mastery. To answer the research questions, descriptive mean analysis and Pearson Correlation Coefficient Correlation were used to answer the research questions. The research findings revealed that: (1) the level of students' vocabulary learning strategies was 3.41, indicating a moderate level; (2) the level of students' vocabulary mastery was 82.44 indicating good vocabulary mastery; and (3) the p value = 0.781, and r = 0.028, indicating that there was no significant correlation between vocabulary learning strategies and vocabulary mastery. The interpretation of the research findings shows that although there is no significant correlation between vocabulary learning strategies and vocabulary mastery, the use of various vocabulary learning strategies still contributes positively to students' vocabulary mastery. Therefore, teachers can expand the vocabulary learning strategies they use in the classroom, as well as provide more focused support to students in choosing and applying strategies that suit their individual learning strategies

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine students' perceptions of the use of Google Translate in English learning, in terms of absorption, understanding, and evaluation. This study used quantitative methods with descriptive design analysis. The average score is used to answer the research question. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. Responded to this study were grade 7 students in one of the junior high schools in Airmadidi North Minahasa totaling 173 students. The results of the analysis showed that students agreed that absorption factors influenced students' perceptions of the use of Google Translate in learning English. Students agree that comprehension factors influence students' perceptions of using Google Translate in English language learning. Students strongly agree that evaluation factors influence students' perceptions of the use of Google Translate in English language learning. So, it can be concluded that students' perception of the use of Google Translate is positive judging from the factors that affect the use of Google Translate. However, students should use Google Translate as a useful additional tool to understand English Lessons better

Abstract

This study aims to explore and measure the effectiveness of using GeoGebra application-based STEM learning media in improving the mathematical problem solving ability of junior high school students. In this study, researchers took samples of two classes which will be divided into one control class and one experimental class. The class chosen as the control class is VII B and the experimental class is class VII E. With the experimental method, the two classes are divided into an experimental group (using GeoGebra) and a control group (conventional learning).  The research instruments used are in the form of description questions and questionnaires, while the data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. This study used independent simple t-test, N-Gain test, and questionnaire processing. The results of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference in initial abilities between the two groups. However, after treatment, there was a significant increase in mathematical problem solving abilities in the experimental group. This is proven from the results of the post-test and N-Gain test. Student responses to the use of GeoGebra in learning mathematics with a STEM approach are also positive, showing high interest and understanding. These results support learning approaches that integrate technology and natural sciences, engineering, technology, and mathematics to improve students' mathematical problem solving skills
