Abstract

Activity Testing the Effect of Antagonist Plants in Suppressing the Development of Incidence of Root Rot Disease Ganoderma sp. aims to determine the effect of antagonist plants in suppressing the development of stem rot disease incidence of Ganoderma sp. in oil palm nurseries. The study used a randomized block design with 7 treatments, namely Ganoderma+ginger isolate, Ganoderma+turmeric isolate, Ganoderma+lemongrass isolate, Ganoderma+temulawak isolate, Ganoderma+garut isolate, Ganoderma isolate and control. Each treatment with 5 replications with 2 sample plants. The parameters observed were the development of disease incidence through symptoms, height and number of leaf midribs of oil palm seedlings. The data were analyzed using the SPSS program. The effect of the treatment was analyzed by using fingerprints. If there is a treatment that has a significant effect, further tests are carried out with Duncan's Multiple Distance Test (DMRT) with a level of : 0.05. Based on the test results, it was found that the incidence of Ganoderma stem rot disease was the fastest, highest and most developed in each observation, namely in the treatment using ginger and lemongrass antagonists. While the lowest incidence of disease was found in the treatment of arrowroot, turmeric and temulawak. These antagonist plants have exudate containing antibiotics that can inhibit the growth of the Ganoderma fungus. The development of oil palm seedling plant height is strongly influenced by the physical properties of the soil and the presence of Ganoderma pathogens. While the Ganoderma pathogen did not affect the development of the number of leaf midribs, but only caused changes in leaf color such as necrosis.

Abstract

The lack of solid economic fundamentals in Indonesia has prompted the government to build an economic structure by taking into account the presence of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the international market. This sector has been proven to provide jobs and provide opportunities for SMEs to develop in the community. The existence of MSMEs cannot be doubted because they have proven to be able to survive and become an economic driver, especially after the economic crisis. On the other hand , SMEs also face many problems, namely limited working capital, low human resources, and incompetent mastery of science and technology (Sudaryanto and Hanim, 2002). Another obstacle faced by SMEs is the relationship with unclear business prospects and unstable planning vision and mission. Provision of information and market networks, easy access to funding and assistance as well as capacity building for information technology are some of the strategies to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian MSMEs. Therefore, it is necessary to synergize all parties, especially between the government and microfinance institutions.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the management of character education at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan and Instituto Politécnico de Betano Timor Leste, focusing on policies, implementation practices, challenges, student perceptions, and recommendations to improve its effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with university leaders, lecturers, and students, participant observation, and documentation of character education policies and programs at both universities. Data analysis was carried out thematically with an inductive approach to explore the main themes related to character education management. The results of the study show that both universities have implemented a structured character education policy, although with different approaches. Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan integrates character education into the academic curriculum through ethics and morals courses, while Instituto Politécnico de Betano focuses more on developing social character and leadership through extracurricular activities and community service. The practice of implementing character education is running well in both universities, although there are differences in its implementation. The main challenges faced are limited resources, difficulties in aligning perceptions about the importance of character education, and less active student involvement. Nevertheless, most students have a positive perception of the character education they receive.
